Being a couple, we found this resort fantastic!

We stayed 4 nights here and used it as a base to explore Panglao and Bohol. From the moment of check-in, to the moment of check-out, everything was great. Even before we arrived, the communication from Mayana was fantastic over the booking app, and they were very responsive to all queries we had.
We used the air conditioned van option to get to the resort from the Tagbilaran Port (30 mins drive), and were greeted with a welcome drink and room briefing.

We ate in the restaurant three of the nights, as it was very handy after coming in late and having driven a lot on the bike. Each night the food was good. The Osterich dishes are unusual, and I enjoyed the burger Option.
My girlfriend is vegetarian, so we really appreciated that the chef was able to make her a veggie curry one of the nights.

The breakfast was great each morning. You get a choice between an American breakfast, pancakes, omelette, Filipino breakfast. The staff were really accommodating in trying their best to get you any specific options/extras that weren’t on the menu. For instance, they made poached eggs for me one morning, though not on the menu 😊

We rented a good scooter from here also and had a great time!

I read the reviews mentioning the pool being ‘murky’ or ‘unclean’, but honestly we thought the pool was fab! - not only was it a nice size nd design, but it was the first pool in the Philippines we have had that has part just 5ft deep, but the deep part is actually deep and over your head at 7ft. We loved that, so it caters for every type of guest.

The rooms are modern and spacious, as are the bathrooms. The bed is really comfy which is really important! The A/C is great and the rooms have tinted glass for privacy which was a nice touch. The safe is big enough to put a laptop in when you are out and about, and the balcony and little table and chairs on it are great with a lovely view over the pool.

The staff are all so nice. One of the managers, Diana, was great and thorough in making sure everything is going well. She is professional and kind in dealing with issues/queries the guests have. She is a real asset to this place. Maik (owner) is a great and friendly guy and helped us with a few small issues we had early on.

Overall, the place is nicely designed and is kept to a high standard of cleanliness and service. Though it is a 15 minute bike ride from the main Alona area, it is a great place to use as your base on the island. You know before you are booking that it is a bit out on its own but this suited us perfectly!

Wishing the best to Maik and team for the future!

Areas for improvement:
- We found the WiFi to be very hit and miss, but they have obviously made a huge effort to make the WiFi good, as the rooms all have their own router.
- Maybe add poached eggs to the breakfast menu as an option, and also actual blueberry fruits for the pancakes (the blueberry jam was nice anyway but just a thought)
- Though the pool was clean and lovely, there didn’t seem to be much flow/ recycling/filtering of the water when we were there (maybe the pump was off), but this results in a film of sunscreen on the surface of the water from everyone using it. Just a small thing we noticed.
- Curtains in our room didn’t fully cover the window, so a lot of light came in in the morning when they were fully drawn.

Wonderful, wonderful, when I booked it I had no idea what I was going to experience, even arriving was a dream. ANNA the waitress, my little sweetheart, brought us a drink straight away, as if we had been guests for years!!! We had great fun at the bar, breakfast was very good, the coffee was very good, the juices too, all the staff were super nice, the whole hotel complex is top-notch, the rooms, the pool, everything was great!!! and now the boss Mike comes, he's Swiss and just brilliant, I'm glad I booked the resort. I've also made new friends, not just a new hotel!! and what's particularly brilliant is the menu, I've never experienced Filipino Austrian dishes like this before, so all you lovely people who are reading this, book there, you won't regret it, thanks again to Mike and his fantastic team!!!!! see you soon, Tom and Edna from Austria

Visited with my wife in August 2023.
Very modern and exceptionally clean accommodation. Definitely the best modern accommodation bedroom , modern Tv , fridge safe and super en-suite shower room
very kind and helpful staff.
Great bartender and receptionist, top chef, excellent cleaner.
Excellent food , fresh cooked , good size portions of quality food
We booked it the day before arrival from Negros and the staff were very helpful arranging to collect us from the port.
We really enjoyed our stay , the pool was clean and the water clear, we appreciated being allowed to use it in the evening where we could relax and stargaze.
The staff also arranged for a motorcycle to be delivered so we could explore the island and visit choc mountains- great to have a choice of engine sizes as choc mountain is quite a distance, but the roads are lightly trafficked and in good repair.
Along beach is less than a 10 min drive away, on street light lit roads, and snorkelling with sardines at the reef is about a 15 min ride.
Only wish we could have stayed longer, staff arranged our return transport to the port.

Rooms are very nice, the location is not very nice. It’s is listed as a Resort but it just a nice hotel, not a resort. It is at least 20 minutes to shopping, not convenient to the ferry terminal. The airport is closer, but there are nicer places to stay for about the same price.
