Bohol Vantage Resort was a nice out of the way hotel that had a magnificent view of Bohol. We were in Bohol for my father's funeral, and decided to stay here for the change of scenery. It's not near the beaches, but it has a pool. You have to travel up a very steep hill, but it was a nice change from the hustle and bustle traffic in the city of Tagbilaran.
We had a splendid time of 10 days at Bohol Vantage Resort and had absolutely nothing to claim. The view is stunning, the staff is friendly and very helpful, you can rent scooters at a fair rate, the rooms are clean and the deluxe version have an incredible view from their giant balcony. All beaches at Panglao are easy to reach by scooter which is by far the cheapest way to travel in Bohol like in many Asian places. The pool is more a less an infinity one with a panorama view and an included bar with sitting opportunities even inside the pool. The Wi-Fi connection is always good and the breakfast is nice, plus the staff is always happy to help out with extra wishes like Omlettes or whatsoever without any extra payment.
I stayed here with my fiance in May and loved every minute of our stay. The room and view were beautiful and peaceful and the staff was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We will always count our days spent here amongst our fondest memories. We will definitely stay at this hotel everytime we visit Bohol. Absolutely the best!
Unfortunately, the room was dirty on our arrival. Lack of proper cleaning since longer time. The staff then cleaned, but it was never really clean. The kitchen obscured, the cushions on the loungers on the terrace really super dirty. The staff then covered the cushions with bed sheets. But I couldn't make friends with the room anymore. The owner should take a look and look at it from the guest's perspective. The breakfast was good and the food in the restaurant was all very good and tasty. The restaurant offered magnificent views over Tagbilaran, the surrounding area and the ocean. The staff is guest oriented and friendly.
I’ve always wanted to stay here and when I finally did, I was disappointed. The room was old and run down. The private balcony was pretty cool but my room had a minimal view. A little cheaper ($50something) than the others. The pool photo online is old. Their pool had broken tiles in the bottom. At least when I was there. No customer service. Guards and workers were gambling right in front of the gate at night. The view is the best part of my stay.
We stayed at the XL room for 3 nights, it was comfortable but the most remarkable thing was the beautiful infinity pool and the amazing panoramic view. The restaurant food prices are relatively expensive and not all menu items were available. The resort is located on a top of a hill and there is nothing in the sorounding area to do especially in the night I understood that people just go to Alona beach for better food options and entertainment.
We arrived to the hotel late. Around 8pm. Were looking for a receptionist to find her hanging with the staff in the restaurant bar. When asking her if we can check in she was very confused. Kinda like she wasn’t expecting us. But in a weird way we had already received an email from the hotel already telling us that they can’t wait to see us. Hmm. They didn’t have a room ready for us. We waited about 30min and then were taken to our room. A lot of stairs. No elevator. Heads up with that. The view is amazing. Can’t argue with that. Went to have dinner. Restaurant staff had trouble with english. Food was really moderate. Tasteless. Then went down for a good night sleep. Bed was comfy. Balcony was spacious. Bathroom as well. But when it hits 5am. Every rooster in Bohol wakes up and you can hear them all. It was epic. Then at 7am. All the staff wakes up and starts yapping away as well. So if you are looking to sleep and get a peaceful vacation. This is not the place. We went by the pool in the morning. No service there. All the staff just stares at you from above. And it was pretty disturbing. …
We stayed here for our first two nights in Panglao, Bohol. The hotel is in one of the most beautiful locations. Situated on the top of a hill the rooms offer panoramic views of Bohol and Panglao. We wanted to avoid the busy area around Alona Beach and this is exactly what the hotel offered. The hotel is on the top of a hill, but very easily accessible from the port via a tricycle or motorbike. I cannot express how priceless the room views were! We had a deluxe double and the room was just amazing! The room was a fantastic size with a very comfy bed and great facilities. The infinity pool was incredible. Only a small pool, but the views over the mountains are incredible. The hotel is perfect for getting away from crowded areas around the beech. Alona Beach is only 15-20 minutes scooter ride. We rented a motorbike from the hotel which was awesome! I would highly recommend this! The roads around Bohol are great quality and perfect for exploring via a motorbike. Fuel prices are just unbeatable too! A shock to the system from Western prices. All tourist spots are very easily accessed and within driving motorbike distance from the hotel. The restaurant offered incredible views with great food! Dinner and breakfast were good prices and great quality. Again I cannot express how amazing the restaurant views were. Honestly, money could not buy this view! The staff were extremely friendly and there to help out. They went above and beyond to help us out with transfers and trips. They gave us great spots to visit with our bike. The locals are also so friendly - we love the Philippine culture! We ended up loving this hotel so much we extended our stay! Well recommended.…
We booked this hotel becouse it was cheaper then hotel close to Alona beach. Its a perfect alternative for those who like to explore Bohol on motorbike. Its 15-20min to Alona beach and 10-15 to centrum. We stayed here 4 nights and went to chocolate hills, ICM and Alona beach. The breakfast is OK, like all other resorts in Bohol. Very nice staff! They really like englishtalking people and europeans becouse we are so tall and can behave they told us. :)
Extremely comfortable, pleasant and safe. This hotel feels like a home away from home. The design is spacious and the views of Dauis and Tagbilaran never get old. A perfect example of a boutique hotel. The pleasant staff know you and attend to service and requests promptly. We stayed for 6 nights and the amenities are sufficient for a comfortable stay. Room furniture is nicely functional. The queen bed we had was a great sleep. The patio lounge and hammock furniture is awesome. A beautiful pool is great to hangout or a swim after an excursion. A good restaurant has a diverse menu with local, Asian, European and western choices. Also a full bar and adequate wines. We used it for every breakfast and most dinners. The kitchen made a delicious and convenient carry out breakfast for a 5:30am private excursion we booked with the hotel. We like the value received here for what is charged and have booked a much longer return stay. Thank you Vantage and we look forward to our next visit! …
