Amazing hospitality here. Peter and Paul are the absolute best and always willing to help, going above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, relaxed and fun. The design is just right, spacious rooms, stylish site with a lovely pool to relax after a day exploring and very clean throughout. We slept incredibly well throughout our stay from both a comfort and noise perspective . Free breakfast and purified water was lovely. Spacious room, fridge was great.Air con worked well and also placed in a good area which cools the room without blowing directly on the bed / sleeping area. Highly reocommend!

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing stay in Panglao, then this is the place for you. The rooms are extremely clean and have hot water and air conditioning which can be hard to find in the Philippines. The pool is just steps away from all rooms. The hosts are extremely friendly and accommodating and will help you with anything you might need whether it’s a scooter rental or an arranged tour of the island. It’s conveniently located and near to many attractions. I highly recommend this place.

Place is very homie, quiet , clean and easy to find. Close to that Spanish restaurant. You need to AT least rent a motorcycle to get around. They also offer a motorcyle to rent at an affordable price. Owner let's you feel that you are welcome anytime there. The most exciting part for me is to come home there and play with their Dog Nero or chilling out in the swimming pool.

We directly felt ‘at home’, being welcomed very kindly by Peter, his wife, and their friendly dog, ‘Nero’ :-). The resort is brand new, and has not only spacious, comfortable rooms, but also a very nice swimming pool. As it’s really quite, it is the perfect place to relax. What we especially like about this resort is that it’s not too big. It helps creating a ‘home and cozy’ feeling. And therefore it’s also easy to connect with other guests and share experiences. Peter and his wife go above and beyond to make it their guests comfortable. Arranging pick up, scooters, advise on tours and trips, preparing wonderful breakfast etc.; you name it! Nothing is ‘too much to ask’. The resort is located near the beach and some wonderful restaurants. If you wish to go to the touristic spots (with big restaurants, shops and resorts) it takes you like 15min by scooter to get there. Your holiday at the Philippines will definitely be a memorable if you choose to stay at HIGALA Resort. Highly recommended 🤗

We had a great stay at Peter's place, planned on staying for a couple of nights and ended up staying four since we loved it so much. A quiet (and a bit remote) place away from all the hassles of Alona beach. Since it's a brand new place, just opened a few months ago, the facilities are in perfect condition. The pool is awesome and the breakfast is really nice. There is an excellent Spanish restaurant just down the road and a good eatery 50 meters away. Dumaloan Beach and the rest of the nice beaches of the area are just a short drive away, really easy to get around. The host is super nice and will take care of anything you need. Highly recommended if you like some peace and quiet.
