This property well exceeded my expectations! I've worked in tourism for 14 years and quite difficult to impress, let alone have my expectations exceeded. I'd booked elsewhere, however changed at the last minute after reading reviews re this property and Mel. Soon as I met Mel, who graciously picked us up from the Port, waited for us to purchase a few supplies, I knew I had made the right decision to book this property before even getting to it! Mel is warm, engaging and genuinely cares about her guests, and puts you at ease immediately. Mel gave us wonderful advice about local sites and organised scooters for us. We enjoyed a beautiful breakfast each morning overlooking the infinity pool and ocean. There is also an option for you to have clothes laundered which was very handy. Our villa was nothing but perfection. Strikingly clean, extremely comfortable 4 poster bed, outdoor shower and bath, beautifully decorated/styling, floor to ceiling windows and block out curtains, everything was thought of and just perfect. Not forgetting the breathtaking views and exquisite infinity pool. We had booked 3 nights however didn't want to leave and stayed on for an additional night. I have travelled to 58 countries and this would be my favourite property that I have stayed at anywhere in the world. The only downside was having to leave. I can't thank Mel enough for her wonderful hospitality and stunningly beautiful property. Words cannot express how enjoyable this stay was! Stayed May 2018

We had a wonderful 3 day stay at the villa. The view above the ocean and swimming pool are amazing, all in a very quiet area.
The individual villas are very hight standing with everything you need ( vent, conditionning air, very nice outside bathroom, fridge and small bottles of water everyday as curtesy.
Mel, the host is wonderful : kind, very efficient, makes sure the you have everything you need in order to enjoy your stay. She also helped to organized transportation, motocycle rent, and tour of the island. And she and her staff cooked excellent breakfast.
We hatdly recommand this place for friends, couples, families, or just solo backpackers.
Note that the hotel is a little far away from the night life of panglao ( 20min by car) but very quiet.

We were pleasantly surprised, very nice host, and a great property. A small resort with only 3 rooms, but each quite large and high standard, outdoor shower and bath. Nice and clean panorama pool. View straight from the bed to the ocean. The Resort is just above a secluded beach on a rock. Walk to the nice beach takes app 5 minutes. Good breakfast. A bit away from the tourists, road to the property needs some pavement. Altogether we liked it a lot and can recommend 9 degrees north warmly.

Just a huge wow.
We arrived straight from Paris to this hotel as our first stop in a 3 weeks journey.
Honestly, those 3 days in 9° north pavillon have been the high peak of our trip.
The hotel is amazingly beautiful, the infinity pool, the beach, the view, the sunsets... wow
The rooms are large and very clean. They have large confortable beds, air conditioning, and beautiful bathrooms.
Mel, our host was just perfect. Welcoming, so nice, so helpful for all our activities, and an amazing cook !
It’s a very intimate and romantic hotel, with only two rooms. Very enjoyable. But just a few minutes drive from all the best things to do in Panglao and Bohol !
We can only recommend to everybody to come here. If you’re lucky enough to see an available room, get it now !!
Thanks again for everything Mel,
Juliette & Vincent

if you want, you can rent motorbike when you tell host Mel.

View is the best!

But you will get something more than ...

A perfect place to unwind, perfect getaway from the roar of the city. the breeze of the air keeps your body and mind relax, privacy that most of us desires since it is not crowded. I definitely missed the place and people. I missed the pool, the gazebo where I usually hang my self to relaxed. I will surely return to this again :):) ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Nine Degrees North is a sophisticated low density resort-style series of 3 pavilions elevated 10 metres above the beach overlooking the Cebu Sea.

It is a tranquil and serene place to relax with family or solo like me.

Each of the 3 hexagonal pavilions is tastefully and artistically decorated in three distinct styles: Middle Eastern, Asian and Australian.

The 25m blue tiled infinity lap pool is the centrepiece of this luxurious resort.

The main pavilion building has high cathederal ceilings and provides a common formal dining area for all guests for breakfast and dinner if required.

The menu for dinner was limited to about 5 interesting dishes including spicy Thai chicken, local fish dishes and an eclectic BBQ bananas with white rum and vanilla ice cream. Mmmm...

The hostess, Mel, is a well educated cultured local Visayan woman who provides helpful advice on day tours and other local attractions. She speaks excellent English, Tagalog and Visayan.

I enjoyed my relaxing sojourn in this little lost "Shangri-la by the Sea" and will return sometime soon to float in the pool and enjoy the sunsets with a San Miguel or two....

Just be aware the owner has 3 dogs on the premises but they are friendly.
