The people there are so so nice, we ended up being there for 7 nights (we usually wanted to stay 1 night). They all try to fulfill every wish you have and they are so lovely. Feels like home being there. The accomodations are also very very close to the sea, you can see the sun rising in the morning. We will definitely come back!!
Firstly, the staff are so welcoming and trusting of everyone. I actually had to ask four times for the bill! The guests we met were laid back and friendly. It's the kind of place you can leave your phone on charge in the communal area without any fear of theft.Overall; a very nice, chilled vibe. (Myself and my girlfriend stayed in one of their "cottages" it cost about £15 a night including breakfast. We thought it was very good value indeed. There is no restaurant or bar on site but there is a shop/bar about 50m away where you can buy most stuff and it's cheap too. Steffi's place has a fridge and they don't mind you putting your bits in there. Also, they have a small communal kitchen where you can do some basic cooking. There is a fantastic Spanish restaurant opposite the shop. Anyway I digress. Steffi's is on the seafront. No beach as such but some good snorkelling to be had. Take some water shoes though as you have to walk out a bit before you get to the reef and there are patches of sea urchins in some places. Don't let that put you off. It's worth it. The photos of the property are fair and accurate. We loved it!…
Owner and staff fantastic Setting natural with magical sunrises everyday Rooms 20 metres from steps to sea Good breakfast included Great VFM Stayed longer than planned and will return again. Need motorbike or get nightlife but not a problem as steffi hires motor bikes and trikes and jeepes available.
When asked how I would describe Steffi's Place I had to look up words in the dictionary such as trendy, boutique, charming, quaint, even romantic, and I would say there is a small bit of truth in some of them. Trendy? ...well, if simpler is trendy then definitely it is. Steffi's cottages are quite bare, simple and CLEAN. Charming? ...well if opening your window to the view of the sea and the peaceful sound of the waves crashing onto the rocks below is charming to you, then definitely it is. Quaint? ...well if quaint includes natural beauty and unusual design, then definitely it is. Romantic? ...well many people, including myself, believe that the beach, the water, the silence, simplicity are all very romantic... so definitely it is. But the most notable aspect of this accommodation is Steffi and Art's hospitality. As soon as we arrived, Steffi greeted us as if we were coming home after a long trip. She made her home our home for the next 2 days. And her husband Art, realizing that their place was rather far from everything (not exactly a negative), drove us to a beautiful clean beach and picked us up to take us back. Our last night, we bought fresh fish and Steffi allowed us to cook it in her kitchen. I enjoyed our 2 nights here and I highly recommend staying here. I definitely will return.…
Perfect for a couple! Great plqce to get away from the city. Steffi is lovely and so helpful and will arrange everything for you! It is a drive to all places but its nicer to be separate. The spanish restaurant is the best place to sat also.
We were suppose to stay just one night but end staying three! The rooms are ok, with mosquitos nets, and beautiful sea view. There is coffee and tea for free and the breakfast witch is included in the price, is super good (scramble eggs, toast, jam, butter and watermelon). Some hammocks to relax and steffi the owner is great! Stay here!!
This place was awesome right from the start. Steffi came out and welcomed us immediately. She gave us the lay of the land, told us a bit about herself, introduced us to her staff, and generally made us feel super comfortable. Steffi had recently expanded her place so we were in the newer area. It is a super laid back atmosphere here right on the water where you can snorkel at high tide. It is about 20km from alona beach but there is a killer spanish restaurant about 5 min walk. I recommend the croquettes, actually I recommend everything there. We ate there 3 out of 5 nights we stayed there. If you want to get into town or go and check out the tarsiers and chocolate hills, Steffi also rents out scooters. She also has a little store set up so you can buy beer, rum and chips etc without constantly having to got to the store up the road. The only improvement I could suggest is that they get more hammocks or beach chairs, because the ones they do have were always occupied. Oh yeah the beds were comfortable and the huts are cozy and they have a fan. If you require AC then probably not the place for you. But if you wanna meet rad people and get off the beaten track then definitely stay here. You will not be disappointed. Just wanted to shout out to Steffi, Art, and Momma. You guys are amazing andThanks for the hospitality and sorry about the bike.…
We stayed at Steffi's Place in Bohol Philippines for 3 days and everything was just great. Good rate, free coffee, free internet, amazing location, motorbikes to rent, free laundry. You can cook your own food too in their kitchen.
We stayed 3 days at Steffi's Place in Bohol Philippines and it was amazing. For good rate per night for 2, you get free coffee, internet, laundry, amazing location, beach and cheap motorbikes to rent.
This place recently added 7-8 brandnew bungalows very close to the original location; so they doubled in bungalows. And with a very good reason, because this place is amazing. Nice view and tranquil environment. Accommodation is basic but fine, the shared bathrooms are cleaned regularly. The owners are very helpful and easy-going. There aren't a lot of restaurants around though. One (very good) Spanish restaurant around the corner and the Bohol Bee Farm is in walking distance, but I would recommend hiring a motor bike.
