We were on our first vacation since the Covid- 19 pandemic, and we wanted it to be perfect. The location, amenities and staff did not disappoint us. Once we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted so warmly and showed to our room. As soon as we saw the view from the room, we didn't want to leave. On our first night, we had dinner at their restaurant and the service was top notch with all questions answered and were given several suggestions and the food was as the Italians say 'da leccarsi i baffi'. The same goes for breakfast. Staff was sweet, attentive and welcoming. We really loved the lemon cakes,so delicious! Looking forward to plan another visit!
We weren’t expecting much out of our meal in Pollara where we anchored the boat for the night, but after the first bite and the first conversation with Francesco (lucky us we got served by the owner) we fell madly in love with this place. Amazing location with great food in a family business. Even though we didn’t sleep at the hotel we got to check out the rooms and they looked amazing. Fully recommend this hotel and restaurant, especially if you are lucky enough to meet Francesco and his family (his sister is a great cook and his parents built the place).
My stay at the la locanda del postino was everything I hoped it would be and more. Once you see the view from the rooms and the terrace with the most amazing sunset you don’t want to leave again. I would recommend to take a aperitif on the terrace and watch the sun go down into the sea directly in front of you. The inviroment makes you forget time and day and you just live in the moment. You feel the love which is put into every detail from the family which owns the Hotel. If you have questions you can always asks the family and they will do the best they can to help you. When you go through the unit you can smell all the flowers and herbs which can be later found in some of the dishes at the restaurant. The restaurant of the hotel with a beautiful roof-top Terrace serves amazing dishes for dinner (p.e. tuna Tatar, swordfish carpaccio) and delicious pastries in the morning (p.e. Cakes, cookies) which come together quit nicely with a coffee or cappuccino. I can highly recommend a stay at locanda. You get the opportunity to just relax at one of the hammocks of the rooms with a wine or beer or enjoy the nature of the island. It’s the perfect combination of taking time off and experiencing the island life. Thank you for the beautiful memories! I will not forget them!…
Stunning location set against the volcanic mountains and with a sea view. Coupled with delicious food. We predominantly ate the specials of the day. Family run, who clearly want to make each visit special. We hope you enjoy my your evening too!
Beautiful location and view, especially at sunset. The room was comfortable and spacious with a sea view and terrace with chairs, sun lounger, and table at the front, which was a great place to relax. The dining areas and gardens were very pleasant, and many herbs and fruits are grown to be used in the restaurant. The village of Pollara is small but friendly, with a bar and church in the centre and the closest beach is around 10 minutes walking from the hotel. The staff are welcoming and can speak multiple languages including English.
