We have just returned from staying at the Baan Vanida and we had a wonderful time. Our group stayed in the lodges in the grounds and loved it. They were cleaned daily and we found it very comfortable. The staff were so friendly, the restaurant on site did a wide selection of good quality food and drinks at reasonable price. The hotel is off the main road in a quiet location but few minutes from the town centre, 9/11 and cash machine. If you turn left you are on a street of restaurant and bars leading to the beach; if you go right and right again at the lights, there are loads of bigger restaurants and turn left on the main road, you are in bar street. We felt safe walking around and never saw any bother. Highly recommend it. One tip we wish we knew was that the majority of places preferred cash so we had to draw money out every other day. And beware the mosquitos - we were bit a lot and the local tiger balm you can buy was a godsend.

Over rated hotel had a room on first floor view on back side of massage salon with 2 very noisy aircon units and next to elevator, lot of noise from guests and staf, basic room with tiny tv. Not worth your money, friends had a room on 4th floor little better but still overpriced. People mention the friendly staff, well i didn t find them. dissapointing place.

Realy nice place, close to the street but very quiet. Nicely furnished, clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Massages are offered. excellent value for money, that in this area is hard to find. Nothing to complain, only the breakfast its a little bit overpriced.

What you see ( on the site) is not what you get. We booked 5 garden view superior rooms. But their idea of a garden seems to be 1 Flower pot and a wall one meter from the balcony. On our protest they suggested another room which wasn't any better. Also close to a noisy road. Far from the beach

We stayed here at the start of our trip to Thailand and was pleasantly surprised! The entrance was beautiful and the pool was great too. The rooms were very clean which is something I always look out for. The only downside was the location. Everything is walkable and not too far so it’s not a big deal but it’s on quite a busy road so wouldn’t be great if you have kids.

Staff have limited english - didn't cause a huge issue. Wifi was not the best. Our room was very nice, and breakfast was lovely. The restaurant had good food, we particularly liked the stir fried noodles - they were amazing. The pool was nice, though the beds and parasols are in need of an update! The location is great if you're after a quiet and relaxing holiday away from the manic Patong.

We did not like the hotel. We stayed at the bungalow, which was located in the garden area next to the main building. When we made the booking, it was not clear that the room we are booking is actually in the bungalow! At the check-in we tried to negotiate a different room at the main building, but we had no luck doing so. The grounds and garden surrounding this hotel are OK, location is OK, food - also OK, but the bungalow itself was terrible - NO isolation from outside, which means insects are welcome inside anytime. Toilet had a terrible sewage odor. Everything inside the bungalow was old. WiFi was not available inside our bungalow - we had to go to the pool area or restaurant to get decent signal. The pool was not very clean - water was murky, I could see that the pool was not cleaned for some time. Staff was not very friendly or welcoming. At the breakfast there is a note, which says - "If you do not manage to eat what you put on your plate at the buffet - you will be FINED". Honestly - I don't understand why this hotel has so many good reviews, because we booked it based on TripAdvisor rating, however, this time it was a total letdown. We stayed for 3 out of 4 nights booked - as soon as we got booking at another hotel, we moved out. NOT recommended.

Writing this review while still at the "resort" (would for the life of me never call this a resort, more like a budget motel) in a moment of actually being able to connect to the wifi. I do not understand how this hotel has received such good reviews. Not even 50% of what is advertised is true. - shower was broken first night, could not shower upon arrival and we had been traveling for almost 24 hours!! All I wanted to do was shower. They could not give us another room or fix it. They said we had to wait until the morning. they fixed it the day after but the shower head could only be turned against the wall. Meaning that you need to hold the shower head in order to be able to shower. my mum, whom I was traveling with, has a shoulder injury and can not lift her arm higher than a few inches. I have been helping her to shower while here. When we adressed this and asked for a change of rooms if the shower could not be properly fixed, they just said that it was not possible.  - rock hard beds - No toilet paper or soap for three days now. When we ask the staff for these items they are rude and annoyed.  - It is advertised that wifi is available in the room. It is impossible to get any connection in the room, not even in the lobby is it possible to get a decent connection.  - Breakfast. We have arrived at 9 am every morning and everything is finished except for the eggs. When we ask them to refill, the staff says that there is no more food left. The breakfast is open until 10.30 am, how is this possible?? And the worst part is how incredibly rude and ignorant the staff is!!!! And it is definitely not beachfront, 10 min walk to Karon. As I said, do NOT stay here.

This is a great resort in a quiet area. Very far from Patong beach but if you have a scooter the ride is easy, the cab to get there is very expensive. The nightlife, restaurants, and beach are very close by.

Stayed here for 5 days leaving on 05/12/2017. Loved this small hotel for what we paid, very nice room, pool and grounds. Also a great breakfast. The only thing that let this place down was a miserable looking woman on the front desk (not the nice petite lady). To sum her up she did not even speak when we checked out, just got on her radio to get someone to check or prepare the room for the next visitors. Would we stay again? no, just because of her hospitality, otherwise yes.
