Lae Lay Suites Lay Lay Suites provides 36 deluxe and executive suites accommodation with spectacular views over the lush green hills and sunset over Kata Bay…an easy 10-15 minutes discovery walk to beaches, shopping, banking and many other facilities to make your stay a pleasant one.
The room was light, spacious and cleaned every day. There was a fridge, kettle and hairdryer. Balcony had an airer. Bottled water given every day. The pool area is quite small with only 6 sun beds but the pool is lovely and never very busy. Breakfast is cereal, toast, fruit and choice of how you want eggs cooked as well as 4 cooked dishes we weren't sure what they were. Tea, coffee and fruit juice. All staff, particularly the owners were friendly and helpful. We were told that they get a lot of return guests.

Lae Lay Suites is the ideal place to stay for those who want a clean, modern, self contained apartment, for short/medium stays, away from some of the over priced corporate accommodation that can be found on the island. Located between Karon and Kata the apartments are east to find and well situated on the Patak Road leading to rural Rawai and Nai Harn or into the throng of tourist laden Patong and towards Ban Tao. The building is well designed, there is a pool, concierge and the owners are on hand 24/7. They are really cool, very laid back and super accommodating for anything that’s needed. The balcony views across Kata are are always spectacular, when the sunsets the skies become alight above the surrounding mountains and coastline. My room had all the applications for self catering that were needed, Stove, Fridge, Microwave. There is a big wall mounted TV, solid WiFi connection and a small workstation for laptops and tablets and finally the shower/toilet is more than adequate. The room maid is friendly, very efficient and extremely polite. There is a laundry service and bike/car rental service if needed. I will definitely be coming back, and highly recommend the Lae Lay Suites to anyone thinking of visiting the island. Khob Khun Kub!…

Fantastic apartment-style accommodation in Phuket, perfect for a longer stay. The hosts are wonderful, always ready to assist in any way possible and making us feel really welcome. The location is close to everything you need and a short walk down to the beach. Super fast wifi in the room. The pool is gorgeous. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable!

Location wise is not at its very best. Although there is a supermarket nearby but not any convenient store. Room is clean but bed is hard. The water kind of have a slight rusty metal taste from the tap. House keeping should have a better awareness. They didn't leave extra toilet paper for day 2. We eventually ran out of toilet paper. Breakfast nothing to shout about. You can have better food outside.

Excellent 7 night stay here, massive bed and separate sitting area, the balcony and pool were fab as well. This hotel is advertised as being in Karon Beach but it’s actually closer to Kata Beach which is within walking distance. The sunset view was amazing.

We booked for 5 nights and were only able to stay for 1 due to the appalling state of the room and harder than concrete bed. The room smelt terrible, was dirty, the shower and bathroom are being renovated but are still dirty and unfinished. The pool was dirty also. Most of people the staff were very rude, breakfast was cold and limited. I cannot understand anyone giving this 5 stars! We forfeited the money for the 5 nights so we could transfer to a decent hotel. Also a long way from the beach.

I don’t know why some people say that stuff is friendly, because most of them barely know a few words in English, not to mention t any other foreign for them language. First of all, hotel quite far from beaches, and you have to go back up the hill. Breakfast normal, nothing special, all the time the same. The most unpleasant situation happened with a small towel on which we dropt mango juice and ware going to wash it ourselves. We put in the wardrobe under our staff. I don’t know what they have been looking among our staff, but they found it (let’s say they did dust, despite dust remained), and wanted us to pay. We took it to laundry and they washed it really well, then my friend used it again. When we were checking out they checked the towel and asked us to pay for it, because it wasn’t white enough. There wasn’t any mango stains or something, just normal used towel. The staff member started to compare this towel with a pillow case, only one white thing in the room, because the rest of their sheets and towels were yellowish. I asked him why he didn’t compare with others towels, which looks much older and dirtier, he pretended didn’t understand me. They stopped only when we mentioned that according reservation we supposed to have slippers and bathrobes, which wasn’t provided, so if they wanted us to pay, we would ask for compensation as well. So, if you want to go there bring your own towels.…

Whoever rated this place highly either stayed here under another management or were bought. Using credit card attracts a 3% surcharge, which they don't state upon booking. And the place is only okay cosmetically - plenty of problems lurking beneath, from safe that doesn't work properly, to phones that doesn't work at all (all they could do was shrug) and pool with too much chlorine. Main road also is too heavy with fast traffic. Won't be back
