Stay there for 4 days last month with my wife n 4 children the rooms where a bit small good for 2 people only. But the staff gave us extra beddings. The staff were really friendly n the food was good I would stay there again if ever in the area can't complain 1200 peso a night which is about $28 aus.

Food was good and good price.
The rooms were over priced and terrible. It looked as someone haphazardly decided to put the rooms on the property with open area looking like doing construction and junk made it eyesore.
It cost 1700 php for a deluxe room and extra bed except no room for the extra bed the full size bed took up the whole room. Plus there was no complementary breakfast like you would get for paying that price at other places. I know places that cost less have good rooms and do a breakfast.

Had a wonderful Filipino family party here

We played music and played cards/ mah Jong until 5am complete with lechon good for 50!
Wonderful for functions and setting but the resort needs
A deep clean though out .. cockroaches
Attention to toilets showers many don't work
Investment in infrastructure
A professional manager
Tom is very friendly but it's time to retire and sell up or pass to sons
Hey it's got so much potential under young ownership even I would consider ownership
Put up prices and invest and this resort could do well but for now cannot recommend

Date of our stay was last year summer for a clan reunion. A few of us decided to stay overnight at their accommodation. It was a dirty room with disgusting toilets and bathroom, I mean dirty with a capital D! Used toilet tissues were not allowed in the toilet bowl and a rubbish bin was provided. How revolting is that sleeping in our beds which is only 2 steps away from the toilet smelling the used tissues in the bin!!! The food served was like a carenderia type of food not suitable for a party. Never again will I stay there.

We have stayed at Woodruffs twice now. This review is longggg over due! We have family in Argao so Woodruffs is the perfect hub for when we are visiting. The location is right off the main highway and it is overlooking the water. The owners Tom and Stephanie and very friendly, hospitable, and helpful. They are there to answer any questions you might have. The staff are professional and courteous. The service is excellent!!! We ate at the restaurant located on the premises for all meals and we were very pleased!! Genourous portions and tasty selections!!! You must try the sizzling hot shrimp appetizer. It is excellent! They have a large menu with both Filipino fare and international so there is something for everyone. We will stay at Woodruffs every time we visit Argao!!!! Thank you Tom, Stephanie, and Staff!

I recently stayed here and could not bring myself to spend one more night there...I only went to the resort to use the bed.
There was a poor Labrador tied on a short leash in a concreted area all day and night, with little shade or water. The dog had no where to sleep except concrete.
They also have a monkey in a cage!! It is kept there with no access to water and no interaction or comforts.
This resort was very different from the photos. Dirty rooms and cockroaches.
All in all a very sad experience to see animals kept like this and would strongly advise against staying here and promoting this.

What a horrible, horrible place. The owner thinks his job is to lounge around the restaurant and sit at incoming guests' tables and blow his foul smoke at them and talk about himself. I stayed in 11 hotels in the Philippines on my trip and this was clearly the worst. Small, disgusting room. The shower head was so dirty it smelled, and I did too after using it. What simpleton management wouldn't pour bleach over it, at least. The pool was filthy dirty, the staff rude, and a miserable monkey in a small cage to look at and pity while you are swimming. I got very sick while swimming, which I fault all the passing traffic 30 feet away with exhaust spewing out.

It is in a quiet place, right on the main highway. Tom, and the staff are the nicest and friendliest people you will ever meet. The rooms are nice, and very affordable. Close enough to many of the things I want to see when I am in the South of Cebu Island. The restaurant has some really good food, with angus beef for when I am missing American food. Check out their facebook page for photos

I have not actually stayed overnight at the resort; however, I have eaten at the restaurant too many times to count. The restaurant has both Filipino and American foods on the menu. The pancakes and bacon for breakfast are very good. Woodruff's cheeseburger is excellent. The ribeye steak is excellent for the Philippines.

We pulled in after a long drive needing a place for the night. Rooms small and very basic . Ask for room near ocean to get away from the highway and the big killer yellow buses that honk and barrel their way throughout Cebu. The place is for sale but I think much work needs doing to reverse the effects of decades of marine corrosion. Not a lot to do in this immediate area but Tom, the very friendly and jovial owner will no doubt sit and have a ciggie with you whilst relaxing on their restaurant porch overlooking the sea... probably the best asset this place has. The cook here makes a nice meal if a little expensive by Philippine standards but IMO it is but better than the dubious fare offered down the road.. eg the ubiquitous fried chicken and rice or some dish my fiancee informs me was rice topped with the squeezed out entrails of a sea cucumber !! eeew !. So in summary , Argao is a stopover, not a destination and Woodruffs is an economical and satisfactory stay for that
