I’m so glad we stayed in this hotel. Such good ambience for the jungle themed getaway. The food is outstanding and the service is beyond good. Overall the experience was comforting, relaxing, and quite luxurious.
Our family of 4 stayed for 4 nights. We loved our spacious room, the gardens that merged into the beach, the pools, the beach bar. But most of all Klaus, the awesome conductor of the beach bar orchestra - always around, smiling, motivating, playing games, teaching salsa, volleyball, acro-swings - we wished we could take him with us for the rest of our trip!
Our Family of 5 stayed at La Camelion for 3 nights. When we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed with open arms and we were given an upgrade to a master suit. The room contained 2 double beds and a sofa bed. The hotel gave us amazing opportunities. Some of these include cooking classes, cocktail making and salsa lessons. If you do visit the hotel I would recommend all of these brilliant activities.
A very good hotel ! The staff was nice. There were 3 pools and a private beach. Everything was aesthetic and so instagramable ! The pancakes were delicious and the food there is also delicious. But I was a disappointed about the cocktail activity. I thought that we were going to use a shaker or something like this. We just poured orange juice and soda into a glass.
We absolutely loved this place and don't have a bad word to say about it. The rooms are really clean and modern and there's plenty of room. You can also open the doors to the balcony and have the screens shut to enjoy the sounds of the rainforest from our room. the rooms are all located within the forest with cute wooden walkways to them. It felt very luxurious and 100000% worth the money. The pools are beautiful and super relaxing. The staff are lovely also. For dinner we got tub tubs into town but you can also rent bikes from the hotel. The breakfast was great and the staff can't do enough for you honestly. There is a tour every morning for you to see some of the surrounding wildlife, we spotted a few sloths and also a toucan. The beds were SO comfy. We also used our drone at the pool which was really cool (when no one was there)…
Nested in the middle of a tropical jungle and beach. Lecameleon offers the best of both worlds, with jungle style villas and beachfront suites LeCameleon creates a perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy with family and couples. Located in Puerto Viejo Limon, a colorful and iconic small town where leCameleon is an ideal place to stay. We had the privilege to stay at a huge beachfront villa just a few steps of the beach. Room has all the amenities with large spaces and great decor. Also we where upgrade later to their new beachfront romantic suite villa with our own private pool!!!! What an amazing time!!! NOA beach club their main restaurant offers live music and a show every Saturday night with the best sushi in town. Definitely tropical roll and sunshine is a must “with mango”. We received the best service from Manfred and Klaus!!! We highly recommend the tours that the hotel offer. One of our favorite tour was the waterfall and indigenous chocolate tour with the best guide “the Jungle Man” the one and only!! What a character that makes every minute of the tour worth your time!! So many amazing stories. We Upgraded our time in Lecameleon with couples massage in our room to fully relax, excellent service! Remember to always be on the look out for lizards, exotic birds and their lovely and peaceful Sloths!!! We had one just in the front tree of our room that came down to say Hi a couple of times. If you visit Puerto Viejo, a great choice is to stay in Le Camaleón or visit NOA Beach Club.…
Super friendly staff. Nice breakfast a la carte. Amazing pool and beach area. Good location in cocles close to nice restaurants. Enjoyed the pool table. Unfortunately we never tried the free cooking, cocktail, yoga and dancing classes but cool that they offer it.
When planning our trip to CR we wanted it to include also the carribean side. After extensive resarch we opted for three nights at the Cameleon Boutique Hotel. After a five hour drive from Alajuela (we made it non-stop) we arrived in the afternoon at the hotel. The staff were polite at check-in. There is no dedicated parking area inside the hotel so we parked along the road outside the hotel. This worked well and it was a guarded parking. We had two rooms which were very clean and cool with the a/c. The beach club is across the streeet and you have to be careful when crossing as there are on occasion a number of cars and vans passing. Breakfast was served in the beach club area. Service was at times slow, likely due to pandemic. The hotel offers beds on the beach. However, we walked south for about 15 minutes and found much better beaches, and we were basically alone. The water at the hotel is not advisable for swimming due to rip tides. We had dinner and drinks in the hotel restaurant and we also decided to try some places closeby. The service at the hotel restaurant was slow. We ended up waiting 45 minutes for a few cocktails that we had ordered. Despite the slow service I would, all in all definately recommend this hotel and will return, hopefully staying longer next time. …
Stylish and chic boutique hotel on the beach outside of Puerto Viales. We spent 5 nights here and really enjoyed our stay. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Restaurant is good. Breakfast cooked to order and delicious but menu choices for dinner a bit limited if you don’t want pizza or Sushi and the wine list is limited and expensive. The hotel offer some complimentary activities. We did the early morning walk around the grounds with the guide which was excellent, very informative and we saw howler monkeys and a sloth! We enjoyed walks on the beach and relaxing in the grounds. If you have transport be sure to visit Ara Manzanillo about 15 minutes away for a fantastic experience watching green macaws flying free in the jungle. Advance booking required. Would highly recommend staying here.…
Stayed at the cameleon for 6 nights and had a great stay. My second time visiting puerto viejo and wanted a location with beach access and good food. This hotel doesn’t disappoint. the staff makes the difference and for sure makes the stay more enjoyable. Kailany at the front desk provided us with a outstanding service . We arrived at the hotel at 8:00 am ( flu in from San José) and had to wait until 12:30 pm to check in , Kailany made sure we got a room as soon as one become available. She was always happy to help if we had a question or need it anything, she is truly a great asset to the hotel. We will be back!
