Detailed Reviews
The house has 3 floors with 6 rooms. Since we were only 11 people, we rented 3 rooms but paid for the exclusive use of the house. The rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds, aircon and a small ref. All rooms have their own bathrooms. You have to bring all your own towels and toiletries.
There are 2 kitchens- the indoor has the rice cookers, microwave, and toaster. The gas ranges are all in the back where the real cooking is done. No coffeemaker though. You have to bring all your food and drinks. There are no grocery stores nearby. So plan your meals well.
There is only one room in the first floor, 4 in the second, and a big room on the 3rd floor. The second floor has a small living room in the middle and the third has a large, open patio.
The pool is very clean with a jacuzzi and kiddie pool. The house is not located on the beach front property so you have to walk about 100 meters down the road to a gate at the back of the subdivision. The beach is very shallow, even during high tide. During low tide it is a giant kiddie pool. Although it is a public beach, there were very few people since access to the shoreline is through private properties. If you want to go snorkeling, you will have to rent a boat.
It's a nice place to just relax and get away from the city, It's like having a rest house. However, if it's a beachfront you're looking for where you can swim and go snorkeling in the coral reef, then this is not the place for you.

It's being like home away from home. Our stay with my family was really worth it. We're 2 families renting the place at the same time but we're not crowded. The house has 6 rooms, we got 2 rooms good for 4 each room. No TV and No Wifi, totally a family bonding. A swimming pool, pool table, dart and a walking distance beach are the activities you can consider. I'm just disappointed with the beach, it's not well maintained by the residents at the beach front and when in low tide you have to walk far until you can reach the waters. But in the morning you can swim in the shore you just have to find your spot for a clean or clear waters and walk farther from the shore. Other than that the place was neat and modern. They have utensils to use and a cooking place for your food.
I would love to come back to unwind again.

Wonderful house with 6 well-maintained rooms, spacious garden to play around and perfect pool design for families with kids. Love the small shallow kiddie pool for my 3YO whom I left on his own with his cousins. The beach at this time of the year was still murky and malumot, pales a bit compared to that of Laiya, but beach is beach and kids on the beach don't really complain. :)
No TV, no wifi. Told the kids to leave their iPads in Manila. In the end, we just played old games and told stories.
Free water, complete cooking equipment and utensils, and a friendly caretaker added to a fantastic summer trip!

It was a last minute booking and we didn't have exclusivity to the place which made our stay quite uncomfortable. Sharing a house with several other people is awkward. You have to share common spaces like the kitchen, dining room etc. They need new ACs too. The ACs are too old or broken that they can't cool the entire room. The place is not a beachfront property nor do they have direct access to it. You have to walk a few meters to get to the beach which is not even worth it given the condition of it. You can't call it Blue Waters if the water is anything but blue. It was dirty and there were locals who were drunk, loud and offensive.
Overall, the house was OK but it was definitely not worth the price.

The place was well-maintained, the rooms were spacious and our exclusive use of the place allowed for a fun-filled overnight stay. The beach was disappointing though. We were expecting clean shorelines as shown in the Gallery picture but that was not the case. I am not sure if this is because of the season and the "habagat" but it didn't look like the seaweed and piled up dried vegetation and fish pen boundaries were recent additions to the shoreline just outside the access gate.
The other amenities of the place though were great --- the pools, jacuzzi, activity center. For big groups, you don't need to bring big pots and pans because they have many sizes. They even have 3 sizes of rice cookers! There is no shortage of burners (there are 3 2-burner stoves), grill with charcoal, 2 dispensers, toaster, many plates, mugs and utensils. So, you can really just go there without bringing too much extra stuff. We rented a karaoke machine and many enjoyed singing their hearts out.
The next morning, some decided to walk a distance and discovered the cleaner stretch of that beach. Others played basketball in a nearby court.
One irritant was the presence of flies who wanted to share our breakfast and early lunch ... but this was because I observed too late that there were anti-insect (repellant) violet light fixtures available.
If you want peace and quiet and family/company bonding without the usual distractions of wifi & television, this will be most appropriate... comfortable, clean, cool and spacious. The caretaker (Michael) was also very responsive to our queries and simple requests.
Another plus and worth mentioning here is "Kusina ni Ram" -- we bought pancit canton bilaos from them and those were yummy. I learned that they can also cater if guests of Blue Waters would wish that kind of service.

Owners were very accommodating and responded asap. Well-kept premises.
Have to plan your trip and bring all the food you need - market is far and not a lot of choices. Comes with free drinking water and LPG use.
Bring along your beach shoes coz the beach is rocky, seaweed-y and coral-ly. You'll enjoy the pool if you don't enjoy the beach.

We rented a last minute vacation getaway with family for three days here in this haven place. The price is ok for the amenities you could avail when you stay here. The pool is relaxing especially if you are alone in the beach house. The beach shores is just a step away from the house, kitchen is complete with appliances when you cook. Ensure you clean as you go. The room is very spacious, clean and crisp linen. Hot and cold shower. There is a roof deck you can chill with fambam at night. You can grill under the trees, and have a small day party in the pavillion. Recommended beach house in Calatagan! Will come back soon!

+1
My family had a very nice time staying at Blue Waters Calatagan. The house, which is just a few minutes away from the beach, is perfect for big families, like mine. The place is also just a two-minute car ride to Aquaria. Location is good, very quiet at night.
The place is still new, each of the rooms is very spacious and has its own toilet. There's a wooden swing in the porch area. There's a sitting area on the second floor and on the third floor that's perfect for inuman or bonding sessions with friends or family. What I like the best is the garden. It is where the pool is located. The place has an adult and kiddie pool and it has a working jacuzzi. You just have to ask Kuya Michael, the caretaker, to turn the bubbles on. The garden has a sitting area also and an open dining area with a pool table, day bed and tables and chairs. We loved eating our meals in the open dining area while watching the kids and kids-at-heart enjoy the pool. The sitting area under the Talisay tree was also a hit for my family.
Reserving the place is easy. Bank transfer of 50% is needed to reserve the place. The owners of the place replies to all my queries adequately. Sometimes they do not answer instantly but they made it a point to answer all my questions.
We reserved the whole place for exclusive use of my family but they also allow per room accommodations. Unlike hotel type accommodation, they do not offer food and they don't have a restaurant but bringing of food and cooking is allowed. They even provide kitchen and dining utensils, free LPG cooking ranges, free charcoal for grilling and free drinking water. They also offer beer and softdrinks for a fee.
My only minor comment is the AC on some rooms are old, thus making it difficult to cool a big room.
There's not much to do in the beach area. The beach was not dirty but there's a lot of dried seagrasses on the sand. The sand is whitish but there are a lot of broken seashells around so its better to wear aquashoes. There's a breakwater pavement from the shore to about 500 meters that you can walk on but it's slippery. At the end of breakwater is a good snorkeling site. Water is up to chest level only.
Check in time is strict at 2pm to allow cleaning in between guests.

Suki ka ba ng mga resorts Pansol, laguna? This is much very like it but version 2.0 plus beach , spacious space and quite neighboorhood. Yes it is far away from Manila but it is worth the travel. You have the priviledge to use the whole house. kitchen set like Fridge , microwave , stove, and basic needs for an outing. Though the beachfront claim of this resort is disappointing , is it not far away from the house jus few minutes walk. I would recommend to the owner to have a security system or a guard or sort cause you can not take for granted the safety of your guests. Just saying. Overall worth the price and the travel.

My brother was back in the country for a quick visit and we wanted to spend a weekend out of town with our cousins and their kids. This was one of the few places I found online that was only a few hours away, could accommodate our group of 32, allowed cooking, and had both a swimming pool and access to the beach. I also saw a great review from a friend here in tripadvisor, so I knew this was a good find!
The place did not dissapoint. The house and the pool were well-maintained. Sleeping arrangements were very comfortable, even with a few of us in extra mattresses on the floor. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed - plates, utensils, glasses, pitchers, pots and pans. It was also very convenient that the water, gas, and charcoal were provided for free. The kids had a great time swimming in the pool, while the adults kept watch while grilling in the garden.
I already read reviews prior to the trip, so nobody was planning to swim in the beach. The beach was a short walk away, and it was full of seaweed and crushed corals. We walked along the shore only to watch the sunrise and sunset. The kids also saw a few hermit crabs while searching for seashells. We were able to take some lovely photos at the beach.
Best to book this place for exclusive use. I can imagine it becoming uncomfortable if you share the space with strangers.
The owners are very responsive and I had no problems dealing with them prior to the trip. The caretaker on-site was also very nice and took good care of us during our stay.
