Facing South China Sea, Lago de Oro Beach Club is located in Balibago, in the town of Calatagan, Batangas, a two-hour drive from Manila. The first cable wakeboarding park in the Philippines, the resort treats guests to nonstop adventures. The beachfront resort offers accommodations furnished with cable television, refrigerator, and mini-bar. They also have a balcony/ deck to spur your mood for relaxation.
Nice facilities. Great pools. Excellent wake boarding salt water pools. The restaurant has very good food although it is a little over priced. The make their own chocolate there. The rooms are nice. The beach is huge but not white sand and not very accessable most of the time.

Hi, Kp thank you for comments, we really appreciate it. We are trying to do our best to accommodate the guests needs specially the prices of the food. You have to understand that we are 120 kilometres away from Manila and mostly our stuff is come from there. As you notice we make own products like bacon, ham, salami, coppa, bread, pasta, chocolates, ice cream with the cone, jams etc.... we also have our own organic garden we grow lettuce, petchay, ginger & turmeric, onion leeks, lemon grass. Herbs (basil, sage, oregano, thyme, mint etc). We do this to minimize the cost of the food and besides our servings is big 2 or 3 persons could share. Hope we will see you again and thanks for your help to improve us better.

I recently went on a trip here and it was quite the getaway. We went on a company outing but unfortunately it wasn't enough time to explore all the activities they had here. So many things to do and they had really cute sheep or tupas you could feed. It's an actual activity there! We were met with winds and rain after going out to sea on a Balsa (bamboo raft/boat) for lunch but was treated to magnificent nature views. I think for a place that's been around a while it's pretty well maintained. I would go back to try the wakeboarding and other activities since we didn't get to experience those this time around.

The hotel is not much, but why stay in the room if you can have the whole day catching some waves? They have packages that allows where you can use the amateur or professional pool. If you ask real nice, you can use the pool before check in and after check out. ;) Food was pretty decent too. But if you're looking for more, try Chez Dio Restaurant which is about 30 mins drive.

Thank you ever_pasaway yes you are right don't stay in the room. Use our facilities there's a lot to do outside the room. try wakeboarding , swimming in the pool, have lunch in the balsa the boat man will take you where the water is clean and the sand is white. Go snorkelling or fishing, banana boat and you can even use the jet ski. Kids can feed the lamb with minimal cost for the bread. You can even walk around the lake its 1 km 1 round so if you walk 5 rounds that's good for your health. Then after use our sauna bath then massage, what a life! Have fun....

Their price inclusive of accommodation and unli wakeboarding is really worth your money. Our weekend was made meaningful with our stay here. The service was good, the rooms were old but good enough, it has everything we need. Kettle, ref, aircon, 2 beds, overlooking the sea veranda, hot & cold shower. They also noted that since I am with a senior citizen, they assigned us to a room at the ground floor --this is very proactive, and I'm very delighted with their service.

Not for pickers/choosers. First room we occupied (only available then) had a faulty air conditioner. I was sweating half of the night I tried to sleep. Transfer room was better. Sea not for swimming. Flotsam of plastic wrappers and bags all around. Stick to the pool. Food reasonably priced and delectable.

Nice place to stay in Calatagan. Nice to stay there to cool and relax. If one is experience in water boarding, this is the place to stay...super cool. Tried to do it but can't get any farther...recommended for people on a budget...

Just got back yesterday with Typhoon Ineng left behind.Dont expect a 5 Stars quality of the place, but a perfect getaway to relax. A bit pricey on the food but all worth it because everything is Home style made by the resto, Good for 2 or 3 person. The Room is ok. They really need to replace the Aircon and increase the HP. The beach is not that inviting, but great for strolling with kids. Didnt tried the Wake board but its a must. The services and personnel are Fantastic. Like I said, great for a short travel to relax. Will visit again.

Everything in this place is far by the worst I've ever seen.. to think this was the "classiest" in the area. Let me summarize it to you: -Air conditioning aren't strong enough to cool the room. (had to ask for an electric fan) -Water from the shower smells like rust. (shower head even broke down bec of the pressure) - food was expensive (barely restaurant levels. Even Jollibee serves good food) - Pool was crowded with people. - People weren't following proper swimming pool attire. Most of them are wearing t-shirts. - Company outing coincided with our trip and were dominating the whole resort. (Non-Stop karaoke even in the middle of the night) -Manager sucks. Not recommended. Take it from me. The only saving grace of this place is the wake board area.

During May I spent a week at this Hotel. The weather was sticky hot so a lot of the time was spent relaxing by the pool in the bar/restaurant and in the air conditioned room. This is the only hotel in the south with a cable park. Apart of my stay included wakeboarding sessions. I spent three days learning how to wakeboard and apart from not being very successful enjoyed being around some helpful friendly locals. The place has everything you need and rooms are spacious and clean. The food was delicious and all staff approachable.

Lago de Oro in Calatagan, Batangas is the perfect place for live-in, out-of-town seminars, conferences and team building events. It's quiet, clean and the atmosphere is so relaxing with nice amenities to go with the swimming pool and the beach.
