Facing South China Sea, Lago de Oro Beach Club is located in Balibago, in the town of Calatagan, Batangas, a two-hour drive from Manila. The first cable wakeboarding park in the Philippines, the resort treats guests to nonstop adventures. The beachfront resort offers accommodations furnished with cable television, refrigerator, and mini-bar. They also have a balcony/ deck to spur your mood for relaxation.
We normally do not go on vacation at this side of Batangas due to the beaches that are not as great as the other towns. But we tried Lago de Oro due to the good reviews about it. Here's my review. Good points: 1. Spacious rooms (at Block 300) There is wheelchair access and parking in front of the rooms but best access is via the resto/pool side. Rooms here are clean, spacious and can accommodate four people with ease. With mini-ref, water heater and TV but with few channels. There are tables and lots of chairs inside the room. 2. Courteous staff They are very friendly and well-trained. 3. Good food Food generally good. Price is P799 for whole fried chicken order but pieces good for around 4-5 pax. Rice is P45 per cup but plentiful. Plan for at least P250-P350 per head per meal.…

We stayed here for a night from April 17-18, 2019 and booked was given Room 506 in Block 300. Block 300 is a 1-storey building (no stairs) with a parking lot right in front of the rooms so easy to haul stuff. It's also very close to the pool and clubhouse. Room Pros: 1) big and roomy, with a queen bed and a single bed with pullout (room is good for 4 pax comfortably) 2) with dining and kitchen area 3) with spacious and clean bathroom that had good shower area and enough shelves for you to place toiletries 4) 2 bottles of complimentary water provided 5) More than enough towels 6) Comfy bed and pillows! 7) Quiet at night; has good views of the beach Room Cons: 1) Outdated furnishing - cabinets were old, mini-ref was old and somewhat noisy; room showed signs of age and could…

We stayed at Lago de Oro in Dec. 2018. The resort was nicely decorated with Christmas ornaments and guests could really feel the Christmas spirit. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We reserved 2 rooms facing the pool. The rooms were a bit old but still clean. Aircon was easily adjustable via remote. The highlight was wakeboarding and other activities for the kids such as pony riding and swimming. I highly recommend Lago de Oro if you would like a quick and nice getaway from the city.

Me and my family stayed here for an event and we are glad that they provided us a rooms that is adjacent to each other. There room staff is smiling face and very nice. They got a decent room which in our end we got a room with beach view which we really loved. By the way, they have two type of view one is what we got which I highly recommend and the room viewing the lake for wake boarding. They have restaurant and billiard area as well as wake boarding activity (there highlight activity in the resort) if your bored in the room. Only thing to improve is their reception area, I think they still need to be more accommodating.

Very expensive considering its outdated rooms. TV doesn't have cable. Airconditioning system doesn't have a remote, you have to call the reception if every you need to adjust ng temp. Food in the restaurant is quite pricey too. Water on the tap smells bad. The only up side is the staff are very courteous and accommodating.

Recently stayed in this place for a team building activity. Rooms/Hall - conference hall is good for small groups, it's old-school but it's still ok; has good sounds equipment and has a projector; needs some improvement on airconditioning though - needs more HP; this hall can be rented in the evening for videoke (using the projector as the videoke screen) - rooms are affordable but nothing fancy; old school CRT TV, 1HP split-type AC; repainted wooden beds with ordinary bedding; with a working mini-ref; average restroom, with bidet, shower enclosure, and hot/cold shower; water from the faucet is dirty - does not have foul smell but you will have second thoughts of using it for brushing your teeth Facilities - beach area is not suitable for swimming - swimming pool is murky,…

Great service all around. Restaurant had delicious food and lots of variety. Nice, clean pool and facilities. The hotel is right along the water so many water sports could be done in and around Lago. The view of the sunset from the hotel was the best! You get a perfect view of the sun set down all the way to the horizon. Breathtaking! I think its a great place for family trips. Rooms are ok, nothing special but comfortable at least.

April 21, 2018 our company outing set for an overnight stay at Lago De Oro Calatagan Batangas. We are all first timer in this resort and hopefully expecting for a good stay. Arrived at around 12nn we are all hungry and was expecting a tasty and sumptous lunch buffet to be served to for a company outing unfortunately food in a CARINDERIA or our homecook food is way better than the food they served. What to expect after our buffet lunch no less than disappointmennt our mirenda, dinner, breakfast and lunch the next day is a triple XXX or a NO like PGT even the water they serve, it has an after taste..taste like water from the deep well unpurified or whatsoever. Staff XXX also or Big No No and so disappointing while having lunch they have this kind of peptalk arguing of something…
