The stay was good. The service was terrific. Shout out to Jovy who was very accomodating and very helpful. She went above and beyond in making our stay very memorable, as well as the other staff. Another noteworthy employee was the female who was at the parking at wee hours checking and assisting guests and also serving breakfast with Jovy. One thing that we did not like though was while local guests were served pineapple during breakfast, foreign guests were served mangoes with generous servings. This is not a deal breaker but we were quite envious as we also wanted mangoes.
I stayed at Hotel Formosa on my trip to explore Camarines Norte. I was happy with the newly renovated room. It was clean, and spacious. I arrived early so had to wait to check in. Lots to do in walikng distance so not a problem. Wifi was adequate. Breakfast was good and cafe was nice and cozy. I would stay here again.
While en route to Calaguas last summer, my bestfriend and I decided to stay the night at Hotel Formosa to explore the capital of Camarines Norte - Daet. We booked the the hotel upon the recommendation of a friend who had stayed there before. We arrived early at around 1pm but we understand that the check in time is 2pm, which is standard for all hotels. We were lucky enough to chance upon the owners of the property who were very welcoming. While waiting, they offered us a complimentary sandwich and premium options as a welcome drink - from a glass of wine, pineapple juice and a cup of Nespresso coffee. Being the coffee lovers that we are, we opted for the Nespresso. We then proceeded to our room (we booked the superior suite) which we were delighted to see was spacious, spot-on clean and had a balcony that allowed us to enjoy the view of lush greenery. Suffice to say, we had a good night's sleep. The breakfast was also one of the highlights of our stay as I still think about the omelette we had to this day. Overall, a remarkable stay and I highly recommend booking Hotel Formosa if you find yourselves in the quiant city of Daet. Will surely be back!…
I love the hotel there are some points that need to improve. First, no bidet. You have to ask for tabo from reception. Second, the family room is good for 4 people but the pillows inside is only 3. You have to request for it, You are lucky if there is available if not, sorry. And the payment method is cash only. Last one, no elevator.
Spent one night in this cozy hotel-- very clean and the room is spacious with very nice and accommodating staff. The breakfast was also good.. hotel can be easily reached by tricyle.. We requested for a room downstairs and our request was accommodated. Price is affordable.
Hotel formosa’s place is at a perfect location in Daet. It is very easy to get around with public transportation and walking distance to town center mall, easy access to restaurants and public market. The place is great, very clean and has everything you need. Hotel staffs was also very helpful since the beginning, available at all times whenever I had any questions. Totally recommend it.💯 thank you once again hotel formosa. ❤️
Good accommodation for travelling people. Room that we stayed are clean and well maintained. Towels are clean only problem is there is no elevator. Breakfast was included in the price and it was nice too. Would be nice if they have a sample of the formosa pineapple for guests to try since their name ia hotel formosa 😊
Booked 3 rooms in a rush for an overnight stay with no problems. Arrived at 9 pm to find out that the ground floor was being renovated. There is no elevator in the building. The staff was accommodating and the place was clean. The rooms are basic and dated. There was an issue with the noise as the generator set was running and was extremely loud. Had a bit of a discussion with the front desk clerk but the issue was resolved promptly by a transfer to another room. During the transfer, my 76 y.o. mom left her jewelry in the drawer. The male staff quickly handed them to me and advised me to check the room again. Very grateful and impressed at his honesty. During the night, woke up a few times because of the noise from cars and drummers on the road by 330am. We were able to rest enough though from the very long drive. …
Hotel Formosa is our hotel of choice in Daet, Camarines Norte, Philippines. We usually travel there twice a year, the last being just this April. My husband, who works from time to time even while on vacation, particularly likes the good wifi connection and the relative calm in the hotel premises. It is also close to places of interest, such as the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Central Plaza Mall, and SM Hypermarket. Bagasbas Beach is a 10-minute drive away. What we value most however is the extra-ordinary diligence and courtesy of the hotel staff. They are always available for any assistance you may need to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We love Hotel Formosa!
