Op Madeira liggen in de kom van Arco da Calheta 3 luxe huisjes met een verwarmt zwembad. Het hele jaar heerlijk kunnen zwemmen en genieten van de centrale ligging voor wandelingen of bezoekjes aan de pittoreske dorpjes van Madeira. Op slechts 3 minuutjes rijden van het enige witte zandstrand op Madeira. Alle huisjes zijn van luxe voorzien om je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Snel draadloos internet, volledig ingerichte keuken, smart LED-TV met vooringestelde NETFLIX-account door ons aangeboden. Iedere ruimte voorzien van airconditioning en luxe badkamers met fijne een regendouche. Bedden van Nederlandse makelij door ons geïmporteerd na jaren lange ervaring met deze bedden die ook in het hotel op Texel stonden. Verblijf hier en geniet van alles wat wij en Madeira te bieden heeft. Arco da Calheta staat bekend om z'n goede ligging op het eiland tov weersinvloeden en temperaturen. De Madeireinse zouden hier allemaal wel willen wonen.

I have had the pleasure of staying at Calheta Boutique houses for a few weeks, and I wish it would have been for even longer. The boutique houses (I stayed at "Rosa") that owners Anne & Dave created - or better: designed - are so lovely and comfy that you will feel at home away from home immediately. And yet, the style is super modern, and you can tell that every little piece of furniture and decoration was chosen with attention to detail. On top, you get superb sea views, a heated pool with a cozy space to relax and a bbq spot.
Anne & Dave are super nice and supportive when it comes to giving advice of things to do on the island and fun to have a chat with over a glass of red (or home made poncha, if you are lucky).
The location of the houses in Arco da Calheta is fantastic, too. A nice mixture of being in a local village with great little snack bars around and a gym just a few minutes by foot from the property; and all shops you may need are just a short drive away in "Calheta downtown", which also features one of the few sandy beaches in Madeira, a great sea promenade for walks and a little marina with restaurants. Funchal is a half hour drive away.
Overall, great place! Absolutely recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Calheta Boutique House. The house "Preto" was really beautifully furnished in a modern style. Anne and Dave gave us a very lovely welcome and were always there when we needed them. We particularly liked the comfortable bed, the large shower and of course the pool with sea view. The house left nothing to be desired.
We were greeted with a delicious local wine and the fridge was stocked with water, soft drinks and beer so that we could refresh ourselves straight away.
There were plenty of towels and we were even provided with bathrobes.
In general, everything was very clean and tidy. This made us feel very comfortable.
The additional package we booked (honeymoon package) also turned out to be an absolute highlight of our vacation. Our bed was lovingly decorated with towel art and rose petals. On the first morning, a sumptuous breakfast was also prepared for us with lots of love and dedication. I can definitely recommend this package to everyone.
Anne and Dave also prepared a list for us with lots of recommendations and tips for our stay.
We are still thrilled with our dream vacation.
We will definitely be back Next year!

Everything has been thought of! Super friendly owners and very nice, spacious and clean apartment. About a 30-minute drive from Funchal and close to the Levada walks. We spent 6 days in Madeira, but saw a lot thanks to its central location.
