Hello- Many of the hotels in Portugal say "double bed or two twins- Is this accurate? I need at least a queen bed- Sometimes they say double but the beds are actually larger than described- Can you advise?
Hi Most hotels will have double beds together, so it looks like a large bed. But they have two mattresses and individual sheets on each, so if you're looking for a large bed, it can be quite uncomfortable. This is valid mostly for small hotels and three stars or below. Usually, high end hotels and premium chains will have a large bed instead of two singles. I would advise you to contact the hotel previously, to make sure you get exactly the kind of bed you're looking for.
