Contacted the hotel to sort out tax position for foreign residents in relation to their own website, which showed 99usd rooms (also on Agoda). Standard stuff. Except several odd and unhelpful exchanges later, hotel informed me that these rates were a mistake, and I should pay them 120usd. I wonder what would have happened if I'd booked - given their tone, I doubt they would have honoured the booking. I won't find out - going elsewhere.
We had a room on the ground floor next to the hens, the limited noise did not bother us at all. We had dinner on the Sunday night and it was very poor, perhaps there was no proper chef on duty. The hotel is reasonably clean and is in a very pleasant and safe area. Breakfast is acceptable but is NOT free as it is included in the price of the room. Try going just for breakfast and you will quickly find out that there is no such thing as a free breakfast.
Correct and friendly welcome. There is a small swimming pool. Very large breakfast. Good quality with home made marmelade. Relaxing acapulco chairs on your private terras. Just one important thing, you need a car here. We had a pleasant stay !
We stayed in the Amalinas Hotel for around 6 nights. Its a small hotel but with a good service. They also have a restaurant included that cooked some great dishes! (Their breakfast is ok too but don't expect an intercontinental breakfast.) Their rooms are really nice, beautiful and clean. A Taxi drive to Salta takes around 20 minutes. Its really nice and quiet except when the rooster does his thing in the morning and that when you know you are not in the city (it wasn't loud). Not just the rooms are nice but the rest of the small hotel as well. Nice lounge area outside with a great little pool. Its worth the taxi ride and I had a very pleasant stay there!
