Most important thing to know is that you will be warm and snug as you sleep. Ice carvings in the suites are quite charming. Highly, highly recommended is the smoked salmon dinner in the Kota restaurant. The staff was terrific. Not a cheap option, but fun for a night.

You pay like for 5 star and get 3 star service. We spent 1 night in the snow hotel, the experience is just great! Experience of a lifetime. It was fun to sleep in -5, in warm sleeping bag but even bigger experience was getting out of the warm sleeping bag in the middle of the night and running to...

Thank you for staying with us and for your valuable feedback. I hope we managed to get the right food for you even though we first brought the wrong ones and I am terribly sorry that this happened on both of your nights. Bracelet is a good idea even though we make sure that no one goes inside the hotel...

This is a really tough review to write given the nature of the hotel but here goes. After staying for three days here's what we thought: Great: - The Snow Hotel is amazing: some beautiful rooms (but if you want the fantastic ones you need to get a suite); the others are just cool (but not too cold) - The...

Thank you for your feedback, I am glad that you had great new experiences with us. - You can´t order food when ever you want from the restaurant, no snack menu they don´t even sell sandwiches. I AM HUNGRY!!!!!!!!! - Bring your own food! We told the reception that we not want the wake up and hot drink 7.30 but got it anyway. There need to be toilets inside the locker room too. There need to...

I am sorry to hear that your evening didn't go as planned. New Year's Eve is a bit special night as we serve only buffet dinner which is compulsory for our overnight guests and we don't have other dinner options that night. The bar in our main building is open every night, also on New Year's Eve. I think our...

A night in the cold Snow hotel was followed by a night in the warm Igloo's. We accommodated the 'cold' aspects on the same nights; drinks at the Ice Bar followed by dinner in the Ice Restaurant, topping it off with the night in the Snow hotel. There was barely chance to thaw out. Waking at 2.30am to use the...

The snow hotel itself is pretty amazing, the sculptures and everything were great. Sleeping in the rooms was extremely uncomfortable so I wish I didn't book to sleep here. The lounge area had a fire place but it was never going so was freezing sitting in there trying to relax. Dinner in the ice restaurant was ok, the staff need...

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay. Our staff will give everyone instructions how to use the sleeping bag and by following the instructions and with proper clothing underneath, you won't get cold. We visited and toured this hotel but did not stay in the room. The ice artists were still working on some of the rooms. They are friendly. The ice art pieces were beautiful and enchanting. Thank you for your comments. It is surprising how warm the sleeping bags are, isn't it? :) no need to wear several layers of clothes, otherwise you would feel too warm! Official Description (provided by the hotel)
ARCTIC SNOWHOTEL Our SnowHotel sleeps 70 guests and is one of the largest in the Nordic region. This spectacularly handsome building is carved each year to be different in appearance. The walls and furniture surfaces of the unique rooms are decorated with ice art and illuminated artwork. The room temperature is 0–5C°, but using the sleeping bags intended for extreme conditions combined with reindeer furs, you can be sure you will stay in warmth and comfort. On the shores of the lake the moonlight, stars and Northern Lights illuminate the silent, Lappish nature. As our guest you will have a good night’s sleep as the Aurora Alarm searches the skies for you. GLASS IGLOOS Next to SnowHotel you will find the tranquillity of the glass igloos. Staying overnight in a glass igloo feels like sleeping in the open, but inside the igloo it is just as warm and cosy as a hotel. The igloo village is set in an opening surrounded by pine trees, sufficiently far away from the city lights, making ideal conditions for watching the Northern Lights and enjoying starry skies. Have a good night’s sleep as the Aurora Alarm searches the skies for you: once the Aurora Alarm has woken you up, all you need to do is open your eyes, look at the night sky and enjoy the sight from the comfort of your bed. ... more   less
