My husband and I stayed two nights in a glass igloo and it was the most awesome experience on earth. We got to se the northern lights the two nights. Staff is very friendly and igloos are super comfortable. When going to Lapland, staying in this hotel is a MUST. Everything was beautiful.

We didn't know what to expect when we got there but it looked fantastic. We were greeted by the very friendly and helpful staff who answered any of our questions. Once we checked in and went to our Igloo, oh my, it was amazing, small and compact but enough room for two people to spread out, they also had family...

We spent one night here as we wanted to experience staying in an ice hotel. I'm glad we did it but wouldn't do it again. The hotel itself is an amazing work of art throughout. The staff are great and the food in the Ice Restaurant was good if overpriced. The problem is that it's hard work. You really can't...

We booked the glass igloos for a very expensive 1 night experience but it was worth the money! We also tried the sauna, jacuzzi and saw the snow sauna. There was a huge frozen lake behind the property and a small snowhill for sledging. It was fun n beautiful out there. The best thing was we saw the Northern Lights...

Thank you for your comments, great that you decided to try also our saunas and jacuzzi. Even just a walk on a frozen lake might be a great experience for many travellers who haven't seen this kind of peace and quiet and just forest and nature around the hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two nights at the Arctic snow hotel and glass igloos and found the staff extremely helpful and accommodative. The place was well laid out and organised with every requirement in mind. Thank you for making our holiday a memorable one.

Fantastic igloos, amazinggggggg ice sauna and jaccuzis and a beautiful ice bar and a restaurant seating on ice tables. The rooms with ice beds look not so comfortable but would be a unique experience. We stay in the igloos which were lovely. And I'm saying this despite not being able to see the northern lights

We had an unique experience and will never forget till my last breadth. We booked the snow hotel out there. Thats really an experience sleeping in a bed made of ice and the temperature inside the room is -5. We come inside the room to get the warmth as the outside temperature is -45.

Wow, that's definitely an unique experience! The temperature inside SnowHotel stays at approximately -5C degrees at all times so often the temperature outside is even colder. -45C degrees is not very common here but there can be few days peaks every winter that the temperature gets to those degrees.

First of all i truly understand why tourists love this snow hotel. It's totally different! Being an old geezer who loves all mod cons one night in minus five celcius inside the tight sleeping bag was quite uncomfortable. Breakfast was quite trifling but i liked the personnel's attitude. Should have stayed in the igloo i guess.

Thank you for your advise! You are right; some people prefer to have the warmth and cozyness of the glass igloo and others come for the extreme arctic experience. It is definitely good to weigh the options which is the best option for you.

An amazing time had at the snow hotel and glass igloo. The igloos are fantastic, warm, interior lovely but be careful of the water as the hot can run out. I would strongly recommend pre arranging the shuttle bus to the resort as a taxi will cost apps 60 euros. The ladies behind reception / bar couldn't have been nicer...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
ARCTIC SNOWHOTEL Our SnowHotel sleeps 70 guests and is one of the largest in the Nordic region. This spectacularly handsome building is carved each year to be different in appearance. The walls and furniture surfaces of the unique rooms are decorated with ice art and illuminated artwork. The room temperature is 0–5C°, but using the sleeping bags intended for extreme conditions combined with reindeer furs, you can be sure you will stay in warmth and comfort. On the shores of the lake the moonlight, stars and Northern Lights illuminate the silent, Lappish nature. As our guest you will have a good night’s sleep as the Aurora Alarm searches the skies for you. GLASS IGLOOS Next to SnowHotel you will find the tranquillity of the glass igloos. Staying overnight in a glass igloo feels like sleeping in the open, but inside the igloo it is just as warm and cosy as a hotel. The igloo village is set in an opening surrounded by pine trees, sufficiently far away from the city lights, making ideal conditions for watching the Northern Lights and enjoying starry skies. Have a good night’s sleep as the Aurora Alarm searches the skies for you: once the Aurora Alarm has woken you up, all you need to do is open your eyes, look at the night sky and enjoy the sight from the comfort of your bed. ... more   less
