Firstly, the positives; Fantastic location right on one of the finest beaches in Koh Samui. Similar for the over worked but super helpful staff, excellent service - particularly from Tada. Now the negatives; Never in a month of Sundays is this a 5 star resort. We had a beach front room (one of the better with private pool) and the rooms are dated and in need of some TLC. The resort is grossly understaffed, which led to poor service thru no fault of the current staff, who appear to do everything across incredibly long days. We've been to Thailand and indeed Koh Samui many times. Aside from the location of this hotel, we would not rush back. It is missing the incredible attention to detail and luxury that other hotels in Thailand offer as standard.
Great Beach! Great Pool! The people are so nice in this hotel. The sea is specially protected against Jellyfish. Highly recommended! Nice area to walk outside the hotel full of restaurants and bar. Seems to me like the best hotel in Koh Samui! The pool and sea are both not cold, they are both like warm. מלון מעולה בקו סמוי, חוף מקסים, בריכות מעולות
Great location on Lamai, Beach is great. Big hotel, large rooms and pool areas. Not super charming through. Food ok, breakfast buffet not great. Staff was sweet. The Lamai Samui Hotel was more to out liking (allthough no beach directly in front because of the low tide).
Lamai beach is splendidly quiet and peaceful. We were treated to a fantastic fire show on the beach, next to The Pavilion on a Sunday evening. Our room and breakfast were excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We rented a car from Ji Ji Car and motorbike rentals, just up the road near the junction with the ring road. The lady there is very helpful & the motorbikes and cars serviced & in good condition. Good service there. Plenty of good restaurants along the beach and along the road nearby The Pavilion.
Hello! Me and my family were in pavilion one week ago.. We travel in Thailand for over one year and I swear this is the best hotel that we were in!! The crew, the beach, the pool, the room, the food..everything was really the best.. All the requests that we had they did the best to follow them. Next month we are in samui again and we are looking forward to be there again!!
My husband & I had an 8 night stay here. We had a 2 bedroom villa residence over 2 floors. Private outside cooking & seating area. Extremely large private plunge pool with outdoor shower/bath. Ground floor had large seating area, toilet, separate shower, vanity unit & bedroom. 1st floor had a massive bedroom with shower, toilet & vanity area. Door opening to rooftop area with loungers & a whirlpool bath. The villa was spotless. The staff were extremely friendly and a special thank you to Ahimee who went above & beyond her responsibilities, nothing was too much trouble. My husband got extremely burnt & blistered, the owner of the hotel was concerned & cut aloe vera plant to apply to his legs. Extremely thankful is an understatement. This hotel is in a perfect position overlooking a beautiful beach with stunning views. Breakfast was plentiful with a buffet & the choice of eggs. If you’re looking for a quite/beachfront superb hotel, look no further. We would definitely return.…
Spending 4 nights here and absolutely no complaints. The staff are really friendly and helpful, our room large and comfortable. The beach is metres from our room and extremely clean and quiet. Excellent value for what it is. Lamai beach is very peaceful at the moment and the ‘town’ / neighbourhood feels a bit of a ghost town with many closed local businesses presumably after covid. Feeling very sorry for those struggling to keep going. All clearly desperate for business. Lamai has the vibe of a place which was buzzing and is now having trouble getting back on its’ feet. Great for us ( quiet) but sad for the local economy. The charming staff said to us they were so happy to see some ‘white faces’ - they’ve clearly really struggled while there has been no tourist trade.
Wonderful time, beautiful hotel and amazing staff. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the area and if I were to return myself, this hotel would definitely be too of my list to visit!
I and my friends stayed at the 3-bedroom residence with private swimming pool and a jacuzzi at the 2nd flr balcony overlooking the sea. We had wonderful time there, enjoying pool party where a small but fully equipped pantry next to it, and lovely decorated floating breakfast. The clear water sea and beautiful beach were a few steps away from the residence. Nice location, indeed!! The hotel food was delicious in reasonable prices. Nice , clean and very good service.
Spent 2 nights at the hotel. Arranged an airport pickup (which worked well) and was able to check in on arrival, a little earlier than the regulation 2pm check in time. The check in process was smooth, the girl on reception was extremely friendly. A new reception area is currently under construction and there is quite a bit of work going on in the hotel grounds but it did not disturb us at all. The room was nice and comfortable. Good TV reception, plenty of channels available. Had a jacuzzi bath on the balcony outside but the jacuzzi bit didn't work, which for me wasn't an issue. Breakfast on the first day was a complete shambles, apparently they had just switched from a buffet service to al-a-carte service. Whatever, no one seemed to have any idea as to what was going on. Food we ordered didn't turn up for an eternity, despite the fact the breakfast room was not very busy. Had to ask repeatedly for milk (for my tea) and for bakery items to be topped up. 2nd day things were completely different. They switched back to a buffet service and everything was fine. Pool was nice, didn't look for the spa so no idea if that was open or not. Gym looked pretty good but didn't use it. Beach was a little bit messy but not too bad. Check out process was as smooth as the check in. Overall a very nice stay.…
