We travelled with friends and stayed in this hotel for a few nights. The staff was incredibly attentive and welcomed us. The rooms are spacious as well as the common areas. Highly recommend for small groups that want to be near beautiful views, go for a hike and enjoy delicious food and wine.

This hotel was the best I've even seen! The rooms are spacious and beautiful with awesome balcony views of the mountains. Breakfast was excellent. The hotel has a pool, two saunas, spa area, a pond, outdoor patio and dining area, smoking lounge, and more. The place is beautifully decorated and the staff was incredibly nice. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We spent 3 nights here for our honeymoon and thought it was amazing. Anna was very lovely from start to finish and booked us into the forest sauna for an afternoon as a treat which was one of the best days of our 3 week honeymoon. The views of the Dolomites are spectacular and all you can hear is the sound of cow bells. There are some lovely walks nearby and the location is incredible. Overall, the Berghofer is an amazing, an inviting warm and friendly places where you can completely relax, enjoy the food (5 course meals every night, yum!) and take in the mountain air. And incredible experience.

After my first day here I realised I had discovered the real meaning of luxury. I have stayed in much fancier hotels but Hotel Berghofer is something really special. The staff make you feel as though they genuinely like you and care for you and enjoy welcoming you to their special place. All the staff are like this from the owners to the cleaners and the whole atmosphere is one of happy efficiency. The food was extremely good for vegetarians and the chef made a real effort to provide us with variety during our stay. The view from our gorgeous suite was stunning and I never grew used to it as the changing light on the mountains was a constant display of wonder. The hotel is quirky and full of charm and character. I echo the point made earlier about staying away if you have noisy children. The only thing that marred the perfect tranquillity of our stay was a couple of noisy children who were far more of a nuisance than the various dogs that several guests had brought with them.

We had driven from San Cassiano having just stayed in a wonderful hotel and thought this second hotel couldn't possibly match it. We were so wrong. This little family owned and run hotel of 14 rooms is the most delightful place we have ever stayed and it grows on you day by day until you just don't want to leave and when you have it makes you want to go back as soon as possible. It is in a little village with two churches and I don't even think there's a shop. The walking is varied and beautiful but if walking isn't your thing the area abounds with interesting things to do and Anna and her team are constantly on hand to advise you. The views from every angle are so lovely whether you be in your room, at the wonderful swimming pool or from the terrace. We would never tire of sitting on the terrace in the evening for dinner watching the sun sink behind the mountains. The food is very much a part of your stay and includes a 5 course meal in the evening. They will bring you the proposed menu for your approval and after that just sit back and enjoy. This is a very tranquil place so if you have noisy children you may not feel this is the most comfortable place for you - leave them at home and go yourselves!
