Have just returned from an amazing stay in a top floor apartment at PSC, our first visit to this picturesque spot. Luckily we beat the possible rush of vaccinated Brits so mostly had the pool and facilities all to ourselves. After so long in lockdown it we felt so lucky and grateful to be there, but don't think this skewed our opinions - I think the place would hold up as stunning come what may. We had a glorious view looking right across the marina from our breakfast terrace (all apartments have them, but a third floor one may provide a better aspect).
The apartment was well appointed with everything we needed, even a washing machine plus attentive housekeeping staff swapping towels and keeping the place spotless. There is a gym, tennis court and restaurant open on some days, plus a gate key gives you direct access to the beach and sun loungers.

Don't expect a hotel vibe, this is a quiet, gated compound of about 50 self contained apartments, mostly privately owned but rented out when not being used. So you could do with a car if you want to hit a bit of nightlife or see the sights. But if you want a home from home and a restorative break, with friendly support on hand if needed, you could not find a more idyllic spot

Very nice resort. Our 3 bedroom / 4 bathrooms villa was exceptionally clean and comfortable with large rooms, comfortable beds and balconies with great views of the marina. It is a condo style luxury resort. Tip: Plan the vacation accordingly and make arrangements for condo living. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful in providing dining, tour suggestions, and making reservations. The beach is one of the best beaches we’ve seen in the Caribbean. Torquise clear waters with soft white sand beaches. Wonderful reef about 30 feet away to snorkel to and see colorful fish and healthy corals. The visibility underwater is very good. The beach is clean and our beach chairs and umbrellas expertly arranged daily. The resort is very well maintained with exotic flowers, plants and landscape. Relaxing stay on a beautiful friendly island. Be sure to visit the scenery, sites, and experience the Island’s culture. We enjoyed visiting the Animal Flower Cave at The North Point, Harrison Cave, and the old synagogue at Bridgetown. We dined in many wonderful beachfront restaurants with superb views and service. We will certainly be back and recommend Port Saint Charles and Barbados to family and friends.

This is paradise on earth. We stayed at Port St Charles for 10 nights from late July through to early August - it was just incredible. The townhouse was spacious and immaculate and the views to the marina never failed to amaze. Spotting fish and turtles as great fun too. The resort is quiet and in a great location for easily getting out and about to explore any part of the island. The beach opposite Pier One was fabulous for paddle boarding and swimming, and a short swim across to and from the pool bar (or you can walk!). The south beach was absolutely incredible for snorkelling. We saw multitudes of colourful and beautiful tropical fish everywhere. The water is usually so calm and absolutely crystal clear. We used the water taxi a lot for the resort, it was always swift to arrive and great fun.
Pier One is a fabulous restaurant - the staff, ambience, views, food and drink were always perfect. We would highly recommend!
All in all, our holiday to Barbados was first class, but this was definitely influenced by Port St Charles too and our amazing experiences there.

This is my favourite place to stay in Barbados after visiting the island 7 times, having tried a few hotels and apartments on the west coast.

We had a lovely large apartment with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms, a large lounge and kitchen. Outside there was a large terrace and plunge pool.

All of the staff at reception we met were extremely friendly and helpful. Hainsley was on the beach most days and set up loungers and an umbrella for us and was very nice to chat to.

After several visits to different parts of the island we felt that this was the nicest beach we had been on. We also liked the large roped off swimming area which meant we didn’t have to worry about passing jet skis.

We managed to see turtles whilst snorkelling on most days as well as lots of fish on the reef.

Speightstown is very close to Port St Charles and there are quite a few good options for drinks and dinner. We particularly enjoyed the live music at Little Bristol and dinner on the beach at Local and Co.

Looking forward to returning in the future.

This wasn’t our first trip to this gorgeous spot, we’ve been a few times, just my other half and I and also with our daughters (10)
It’s the most perfect Setting! Whether for lunch or dinner or just drinks. It’s waaaay underpriced for what it has to offer! The staff is nothing but nice and helpful. They even helped strange a birthday surprise for my partner and when we got engaged there they were ever so nice and offered us some free bubbly. The Pool is so much fun for the kids and it’s offers changing rooms so you can get in and out of you swimming costume. We always spend the entire day at this location. This place is amazing. The steps leading down to see the sea, the pool bar, the Food, Cocktail.... what is not to Love! Not crowded, nice tranquil, chill out spot to soak in the Bajan magic!

This is a fabulous marina resort, tranquil, very private and relaxing. The private beach is a luxury, you’re collected from your apartment by water taxi and an umbrella and sun loungers are waiting for you… heaven!
The staff are wonderful, always smiling and keen to help on any way possible.
The grounds are immaculate, tended to daily and everything looks very attractive.
We are presently in apartment 145, a downstairs 2 bedroomed apartment with its own plunge pool. It’s spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated, has everything anyone would need, and the pool is such a great addition, lovely just to jump into when it gets too hot.
The Pier One restaurant on site has a lovely menu, fantastic views and attentive staff.
This is a great place, we’ll be sad to leave and would definitely recommend.

This will now be our go to place in Barbados. We have tried all inclusive, bed and breakfast hotels but this self catering accommodation beats them all. Location is fantastic an easy stroll into Speighstown which is the best place in Barbados in our opinion. Yacht club, pool area and beach all fantastic with great staff

Simply the best! We have stayed all over Barbados. Nothing beats the west coast with its crystal clear flat water and beautiful beaches. Port St Charles beats everywhere else for quality of accommodation, beach, grounds, boat access and service. It is an impeccable place to stay for families and friends. Pier One restaurant with is located on site but is seperate has also upped its game and is a fantastic place for residents and guests to eat and drink. Truly paradise. Cannot recommend PSC more highly!

We have just returned from staying one amazing month at PSC which is a 5 star resort. The location is fantastic with luxury accommodation, pristine beach and the most helpful, friendly staff. Our apartment overlooked the marina on the second floor and was perfect in every way.
Special mention to our wonderful housekeeper Harriot who kept the apartment immaculate.
We also must give a big thank you to Steven for his wonderful gesture on our anniversary.
When we return to Barbados we defiantly would only consider staying at PSC and have already recommended this to our family and friends.
A big thank you to PSC for making our stay so perfect.

Thoroughly enjoyed a lazy lunch here. West Indian curry was super tasty. My husband enjoyed his meal too. Nice ambience and good food. Spot on! Would definitely return as good menu, beautiful location, comfortable seating. Have paid a lot more for other restaurants on island which were all style and no substance. This place delivers on both counts!

Booking direct with them will be fine as they can also negotiate rates with the owners we had a 2 bed here last year was amazing and totally hassle free would recommend. All staff are very helpful so have no fear dealing directly with the on site team alternatively British Airways tend to run some good deals for psc so it’s worth a look on there site also

Hi I would advise you rent a car to see the island we always use Chelsea motors when we go there prices are much better than the airport and they will deliver the car to port st Charles and collect it from you excellent service from them . All shopping requests through the front desk yes and the staff will be very accommodating to your needs . Hopefully this info helps Enjoy your holiday

Hi! How deep are the pools? Specifically the larger one with the swim up bar?
Answer from aprilsbhoy

hi, not sure of the actual depth but I could easily stand up in both of them, sunset isle and swim up. I am 5ft 6 inches. There are a few shallower bits in sunset isle pool where the steps are that you can sit in.
