What a great place to stay. Rooms need a little updating but staff are really friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are large they have a small fridge. No microwave. Restaurant that is attached has good food and drinks and reasonably priced.
First night was a disaster. The a/c kept freezing up all night long. Worst experience that we can remember. The door to room had gaps under and on the sides. Kept having to eliminate the bugs. Called their maintenance out to fix a/c but whilst he was there it of course worked fine. He said to call if it froze again but the next break down was at 1:30am....no one answers phone at that time. It froze up a total of 6 times through the night. We complained in the morning and they offered a discount on that night and a room change which we accepted. That room had a newer a/c unit that worked as expected. Spent two more nights there w/o issue except for the bugs crawling under the door. When we checked out after the 3rd night they said they'd discount the first night's stay but never officially stated a number. Should've known I was being scammed. They emailed our final bill and failed to give any discount. Their only saving grace was the outstanding wait staff in the restaurant. They were short staffed but they went above and beyond to make your meals great. Avoid this establishment unless no other options available.…
You may stop by this place……if you don’t have any other option…. Nothing we appreciated here. Staying here is better than sleeping outside, but clearly the price for a night is over rated and does not meet expectation. The location (less than 30 minutes of the Grand Canyon) is saving this place to my opinion.
Do not bother staying here, it’s a dump. Dirty rooms, random plunger in the middle of my room when I got in. Tv has 3 channels and they all pixelate. Beds are old and very uncomfortable. Anyone giving this place more than one star had to have been paid. Sleep in your vehicle and save the money
Upon walking in the room looked okay. But turned out that desk and other Furniture was covered with dirt and dust. The door wasn't sealed so bugs and small rodents could come in if they wanted. It had an elongated toilet seat yellow on a small white toilet. All sorts of holes in the wall where the towel bar what's hanging. Exhaust fan on the ceiling was filthy, the wall heater in the bathroom was fill of dirt also. I have a picture of a dead fly on the windowsill. If they let me post pictures I would. If this was camping out. I would pay $25 a night for my family.
Abandoned hotel, this one does not correspond to the photos, some customers are sent to an abandoned motel 500 meters away, tiny, dirty room, no room for two suitcases, pestilential smell, an American shame. No excuse or compassion from the management to relocate us elsewhere in the real rooms as in the photos on the site. I think that distant or European customers are oriented towards this dump. Avoid this place.
We stayed in the annex across the busy road. Decor is western. Very poor lighting because of the use of western lanterns. Beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. If one comes after dark it is unsafe to arrive at the annex due to no outside lighting or markings. Bathroom was okay. However, the drain is plugged in the tub and it fills when one takes a shower. It left me feeling unclean. I can't speak for the main building but I would never stay in the annex. The restaurant was okay. Personnel there were very friendly and accommodating.
No. I can’t recommend staying here. The property is run down. The air conditioners are old wall models and don’t work well. The windows can’t be opened unless there’s an emergency according to signage. The information sheet given hotel guests is sloppy and confusing. We didn’t get a “welcome” email until the day we checked out. The bathtub doesn’t drain. The shower head was old and corroded and didn’t function properly. Small specks of something were in the desk drawer. A bar soap packet was opened on a bed post when we entered the room. Don’t stay here. You’ll regret it.
This place has such mixed reviews that I was dubious, however it was the closest you can get to the park without paying silly money. Its around a 20 minute drive, or at least it is at about 5am ! The hotel/shop/gas station/parking area and general first impression of the place is quite bizzare, My room was fine, the tv had about 2 channels but it didn't matter to me so its not a complaint. There was room cleaning or anything, I was there 3 nights. I cant remember if they told me that or not, but I didn't need anything or really want anyone in the room. The gas station has pretty much anything that you could need, there is seating areas in the garden, when I was there the pool area wasn't open but was being prepared to be opened. I'm from the UK so to me it was warm, but not to anyone else !! I didn't go in the restaurant so cannot comment on that, aside from that it looked quite busy. Based on the room only, the cost it quite high, however based on its proximity to the park its good value for money in my opinion. I recommend this place and would stay again if I revisit the Grand Canyon.…
Our trip was prepaid with Priceline. At checkout the clerk said Priceline never paid ( we confirmed with Priceline they did ) charged us 153.94 and two days later charged our credit card another 100.00 for pet cleaning fee. We don't own a pet. Filthy room I guess... plus the TV didn't work.
