Nice place. Affordable rooms and food. Their food is delicious. Staffs are courteous and very quick in handling our requests. Need more trainings in handling bookings so the same mistake we encountered will not happen again in the future.

One of the best and cleanest spring resort we've visited. A truly hidden gem of Laguna and must visit by any kind of traveler. Reservations is a must and required so you can have a rooms you prefer. They have great pools for any ages.

The place is a good escape for those wanting to be away from the busy noise of the city and be one with nature.

I highly suggest to visit during off peak season to avoid the crowd of summer. Water is freezing cold and is crystal clear. The entire place including the rooms and bathrooms are kept clean too!

Quick Tips:
1. Better to drive an automatic car or be prepared for a test of your driving skills.
2. Make the trip early morning because the roads don't have lighting.
3. Be prepared to climb up high stairs from your room to the parking area.
4. Bring food and electric kettle if visiting during off peak season - the restaurant does not operate during this time.
5. Bring your own towels - the resort does not provide the guests with towels.

The other reviews referring to the veeeery steep entrance of Nagcarlan Forest Resort were not lying... it was indeed steep. But once you get in, it seems like an oasis by the foot of the mountains.

We relied heavily on Waze to get there and thankfully, we did not get lost. The roads leading to the resort from the highway were narrow and a little rough so make sure you brought all your things, especially foods with you, because it's not easy to get out of there.

We reserved their El grande Mayor Room and it was perfect for a huge family with kids because the air-conditioned bedroom is separated from the kitchen/dining area. There's a cable TV but only shows local channels. There is also a small fridge and you can request for more chairs for the dining area. My only comment is the bathroom: there were no dividers between the toilet and the shower. The toilet seat does not even have a cover. My mom accidentally dropped her clean clothes in the toilet while preparing to shower so...

We chose this resort because my friend said it was newly renovated, some areas are still in construction. The landscape of the resort is just lovely, picture perfect and homey. The owner loves antiques! The cottages have old Singer sewing machines as tables and our room's furnitures were all made of wood and they're simply classy.

We frequent the hammocks near the kiddie pool where they light a bonfire on chilly nights. Our kids loved the small kiddie slide and the adults simply loved the river, which is easily accessible from the resort and has a good view from our room. There is even a small canoe where guests can take turns riding on.

They have a frappe bar and small sari sari store inside and the prices are similar to your neighborhood store. The staff were accommodating both onsite and over the phone when I was making my reservation and had a lot of inquiries.

The place is also close to Liliw Laguna and the Underground Cementery where you can go on a side trip before heading home.

Overall, my family had a wonderful time and hopefully the next time we come back, they have made changes on the restroom :)

My family spontaneously wanted to take a break and decided to go south last 12th of June 2017. At first, we wanted to stay around Pansol. But since it's a holiday, almost all resort and hotels were fully booked. Bad idea, I know. But that's how we end up to this lovely resort! Imagine booking when we're already in Laguna but they still assisted us efficiently.

- Clean, cold natural pools
- Very accomodating staff
- Very relaxing experience

Very steep road, glad that our driver is experienced one.

We stayed at familia el grande no issues with the room except for the beddings that are like towels.

We should have brought our food since there is no place to buy however food inside is reasonably price and not that bad to eat.

Water in the creek is cold and crystal clear however the lifeguard told us there are leeches in the upper part of the creek so we we're prohibited to swim upstream.

Water is clean in the pool with no sign of chlorine.

Overall great place to stay to unwind without hitting the beach with a very reasonable price,
