stayed here with my family we stayed at cabana 2 and 3 with our own indoor jacuzzi and the pool is nice so as their hot spring food is good and staff friendly amd nice and very attentive to all our needs and request , will definitely come back for sure
The place is very nice. We stayed in one of their Cabanas with 1 King size bed. It was raining very hard when we were there but it wasn't a problem for us since we have a jacuzzi inside our Cabana! It was not just an ordinary jacuzzi but it was hugeeeee thatb4 - 5 persons can fit in all at the same time. Water comes from hot spring so, it was therapeutic. It has bubble and jet massage which made it more relaxing. The staff are all very courteous and attentive. They only have one resto inside which is Barrio Fiesta so, it was a bit pricey. The food was good. They also offer room service. They were also very keen on following the health protocols. We really had fun. On our way home, we were already talking when are we going back to the place, that's how much we liked our stay.
I love the customer service. People are efficient, kind and accommodating. Our cabana room looks very old. Dirty faucet knobs, Broken DoorKnobs and we stayed at 205. The doors are unsafe. Double locks removed maybe pried open before and they did not bother replacing. Wifi not working. Both Globe and Smart Mobile data super slow.
We were looking forward to coming back here this year. However, due to circumstances such as the Taal Eruption and now COVID-19. We will have to schedule for another time. We went here during the 2017 birthday of my son. The place is very beautiful. If you're looking for a relaxing treat away from the stress of the city, this is one of the places to be. There are lots of pools to choose from, the rooms are well kept and the buffet is fantastic. The crews are also very nice. We will be back soon!
We stayed at Cabana 8 for Valentines day. The indoor private jacuzzi was such a treat for couples. The rate that we paid for also includes access to all swimming pools and a good breakfast. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. Wifi was surprisingly fast. We had some minor issues in our private jacuzzi but they were right off the bat to fix it as the front desk was very responsive. Just expect lots of leg exercise going to and from the Giant slides area.
Booking this place is incredibly difficult, poor communication. Went with a group of 16 across three rooms. Everyone enjoyed themselves. The water slides are far down from the rooms. A very steep walk -- excellent exercise. I stayed in a Cabana Room. Very nice. I enjoyed the in-room hot spring. The views are awesome. The food quality is not great. Tolerable. I was surprised, it wouldn't take much to improve it. We ate out, other than breakfast. The hot spring is awesome. Soaking my body in the water for a few days, and feeling great as a result forgives much. I'd stay here again.
Aside from its accessibility, Sol offers a serene refuge after a tedious merry celebration. The air, view, cabana, pools, service- so awesome❤️ Missed the cart though over the wheelchair for my mother
My father wanted to spend Christmas out of town, we were originally booked in a different resort but needed to cancel the reservation. We searched for nearby resorts and found Sol Y Viento, The reservations Agent Charise who helped assisted me in getting a reservation is very accommodating, most of the rooms are sold out so we ended up in the rooms that was meant for 10 pax, the accommodation is far from the pool and there is a lot of stairs :) I would also like to commend their bartender James, despite of having few colleagues to assist him, he still did his job well and accommodate us. Will think of coming back again and we might book their suites.
Pros: The Cabana room (7.5k Php) with the jacuzzi is great. Wifi is great. Water is great. Concierge is great, the employees are very nice. Cons: Their in-house restaurant, Barrio, has ok to subpar Filipino food. The milkshakes tasted like syrup(the strawberry flavoured one wasn't very good, the chocolate one was more okay) I actually am not sure if I finished an entire meal from their menu. Unfortunately, during our stay, the Pancake House was closed, and their old Japanese restaurant was no longer active. I thought Barrio didn't offer a lot of variation, and also what they currently have isn't something to crave. They also have a weird policy with their wines. I was about to buy a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from their room service, but I said we might open it late into the night (maybe around 1am) so they could just leave us a wine key. But the room service employee stated that they're not allowed to do it, they're supposed to open it once it gets there (but it was only about 8pm at the time). I felt like it was so weird and pushy of them to police the existence of a wine key in a room that I just didn't buy a bottle from them anymore. Tldr; amenities are great, food no, food policies no.…
Had very high hopes and expectation with this resort since it is the sister hotel of our favorite hotel in Tagaytay- Alta d Tagaytay. Here are my pros and cons during our stay: PROS: - easy to find, near the Batino access road. - Hot spring pools are very relaxing 👍👍👍 - very nice view of Laguna de Bay and sunset - friendly restaurant staff - food in Barrio Fiesta is good but some dishes are not always available - lifeguard is present in the swimming area - have guest bands every Friday and Saturday - accommodated our request to have someone buy us some inflaters outside (with a fee but its okay since its a special request) CONS: - looong check in process (the lady had to write in manual receipt the breakdown of all charges with corresponding tax) - price of room is not equivalent to the quality of the room. Booked the Standard room at php5,300/night with 2 single beds. NO REF, no natural light coming in (we cant open the blinds or else other guests will see us as they pass outside by the stairs), super old, stained bathroom floors, old-smelling room that triggered my rhinitis, bedsheet have holes, duvet have stains. ☹ - Window locks are defective. We already went out to swim for a few hours and when we came back i thought of checking the windows, there was no lock! Good thing nothing was lost. Housekeeping was able to fix it though. - everything has a charge. We are already checked in, the Standard room we got is good for 2 but still they charged us for the additional 2 kids for the use of the pool (day tour rate). For the price of the room and as checked-in guests, I was expecting use of pool is included already, same with other hotels we have stayed in the past regardless if the room availed is good for two or more. - rooms are far from the pool. No elevator, only outdoor stairs. Good thing there was no heavy rain during our stay or else we'd be stuck in our rooms. - Pancake House is closed so we had to rely on their restaurant for our food during our whole stay. - we didnt get to use their water park/pool with slides during our stay since there was a private event. It wouldve been nice if we were informed about this prior to booking. We were not able to maximize our stay and the php5600 we paid for. - breakfast food was bland ☹ …
