My family and I didn't want to get back to the city life after the holidays just yet, and stumbled upon their resort after searching for a couple of days for an affordable place that were private for an overnight stay. We were so lucky we found this beautiful hidden resort away from the crowds. As you may know, the pandemic and the restrictions are no joke; and most vacations require a negative RT-PCR or swab test result before you're able to travel freely elsewhere. This place in Calamba will only require you to fill up the health declaration form upon arrival with temperature check, and pass it to their LGU. They have this pandemic rule where they are exclusive on weekends and non-exclusive on weekdays (maximum 5 bookings a day). We booked 2 rooms already for a family group of 4. And guess what? WE HAD THE ENTIRE RESORT TO OURSELVES. WE WERE SO LUCKY!! 1. Location - Quite hidden from the main road, but it's easy to locate through google maps. The outside of this resort is attractive, and you won't have to worry about missing it. 2. Room - Very clean and hygienic! It was well maintained despite the tourism industry being crippled for a year. They will require you to bring your own towels, toiletries, and blankets for hygiene purposes to protect you and their staff from contamination or whatsoever. 3. Pool - Hot, fresh and family friendly. There's a shallow side where kids can play, and a deep end where the adults can swim. It's huge enough to do a couple of lapses or play around, and the continuous water flow from the hotspring makes it all so much better. I just felt a bit shy, maybe we were wasting the mountain's water or increasing the water bill. I suggest you bring your own speakers so you could enjoy swimming with music too cause we surely enjoyed ours. 4. Food - due to the pandemic, their restaurant's closed, but you can bring your own food. You can heat it in the microwave or toaster, store it in the fridge, there's a water kettle and water dispenser for your own use in the common area. We ordered McDonald's delivery through their app and it arrived in 30mins. There's also Andok's nearby. You can cook, there's a grill there but we didn't use it. 5. Karaoke - oh my! I loved our karaoke experience. The sound system's great and the choices are vast. It's inside a room as well, so we don't necessarily make a lot of noise in the middle of the night to bother the neighbors or something. 6. Privacy - this was such a beautiful place to social distance from everybody. The staff will be there when you need them but they won't interrupt your experience within the resort. They will leave you alone for the rest of the day, and they are a knock away for their assistance. 7. Bathroom - our room had a huge bathtub. I wish I was able to use it properly. I couldn't find a bathbomb anywhere but it would have been lovely since the water in the room was also from the hotspring. There are hangers and a closet inside if you need to store your clothes more efficiently in your stay. 8. Owner/Staff - I love the owner! I love the staff! Very accommodating! Very welcoming! I am not exaggerating. They were so professional and friendly at the same time. I haven't experienced that in a while. The owner will update you if she stepped out, so you could ask the staff for assistance instead if you have any questions. 9. WIFI - the connection was pretty good! I was able to watch videos and streaming before bed. You could also do videocalls by the pool. 10. Others - they will provide you a 150 peso GC for your stay, where you can redeem toiletries or snacks in the lobby. I used mine to buy chocolates. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for your getaway needs. I'll come back to this place when I could. Someday. Again. Perhaps. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for the experience. ❤…
Pros - There are 2 hotspring pools and 1 of them is operating 24hr! Imagine soaking/swimming in the hotspring pool under the stars! Yes!! That's what I did!! / Breakfast is has a good selection - you can select a set from the menu / Room is clean and big and has a Jacuzzi tub in the bath / There's a grocery store just outside the resort you can get your cheap beer fix! :) Cons - Not easy to find being my first time to Philippines / Quite far from town / restaurants by jeep (about an hour!) / There's only 1 local restaurant outside the Resort along the main road otherwise you will have to eat in the resort (at higher price list of course) - But only stayed for a night so it's fine.
The reviews ive read on this resort made me decide to have our Team Bldg Activity. The staff are all very accomodating. Food is good, serving size is ample for our group.the pool is well maintained. Their front desk clerk is very nice (Patricia) and accomodating. I highly recommend this place for small group activities.
We visited for an overnight stay one weekend and despite enjoying our time there it has to be said the resort is in need of some work to the rooms despite the great 2 outdoor pools which were 1st class. The food we had was good and enjoyed by all at dinner and breakfast...the lady on duty doing an excellent job... Our executive rooms were without a window and decorated in a dark colour which didn't enhance the room at all.. The hot pools were really good and despite the rain we enjoyed ourselves.. Downside the phone outside our room rang several times during the night.....not good.. The bed sheet was ripped and the receptionist simply said well you have a Jacuzzi in your room.?? So what.. This was the best hotel in the area in 1999.... many years ago now...!!!!!!!
Located just a few kilometers away from SM Calamba, Rockpoint Hotspring Resort is very accessible. My family and I had a reservation to their budget room for 4 and we were not disappointed Their budget room though small is very clean. The beds are so soft and the restroom is very spacious. We also had a really nice time in their hotspring. My kids, aged 4 and 2, enjoyed it very much. Also, the staff are very courteous - always ready to greet and smile at the guests. The food in their restaurant ( Lava Grill ) are all delicious - their kare-kare, lumpiang shanghai, pancit bihon and canton, sinampalukang manok, bistek tagalog, and mechado are all a must-try! They also serve delicious breakfast! The food are all freshly cooked. Just a suggestion though to the waiter / crew to kindly advise the guests beforehand the time that it will take for their ordered food to cook as we experienced waiting for an hour for food to be served. We could just have come back at a later time when food is ready. Overall, the experience is great and we will definitely come back!! It was indeed a wonderful stay.…
