This place is man-made and except for the hot spring, there is nothing special of the place. People who maybe miss the space comfort outside their homes would appreciate this place. Costly compared to any other places around the area which has natural beauty. Check-in check-out for the overnight stayers has also to be revised to give time for next day lunch!
We went here in a rainy day knowing that they have hot springs pool. We got in and immediately were greeted by the friendly and courteous staff. The person in charge of cleaning the tables told us that we can occupy more than one table because it was off peak season. He was very kind and generous. Other resorts wouldnt tell you that even if there are no other customers. We had the whole covered cottage for ourselves. The biggest pool was not hot but it was warm enough for us to swim even if it was raining. There were toilets near the pool but the male toilet doesnt have a lock. The heated pool was smaller but big enough for several people. There were other groups but the place offers a little privacy because of the trees. The place is not strict on bringing in food thats why we enjoyed the whole time. This is highly recommended. …
The place is clean and big With a lot of facilities except for the poor wifi connection. I first got into the place by attending a seminar. I tried booking for a familt outing but never got a chance because the room I want is always reserved thus still looking for the right time to experience Dona Jovita on a more personal experience
this place is good for family outings or gala with friends.. clean surroundings, friendly staff, a lot of trees/ shade and a wide pool for toddlers.. i enjoyed my stay.. hopefully they will have a pool wherein the water is not that hot so guests can enjoy staying in the water even if the weather is hot or humid.. thanks!
You need not sunblock since theres many big trees enough shade from direct sun even at 12 noon, simple place, good landscape and layout, nice view, nice food, chill ambiance, enjoy the baby pool, will come again.
I came here because of good reviews and was never disappointed. The place is so relaxing. The staff are very accommodating. At first, we're planning to spend our vacation there with videoke but decided not to do so, I guess it will not fit the ambience of the place :P We just enjoyed the place in silence. Great nature experience all in all. I'm planning to come back. Thanks for great experience.
we enjoyed our overnight stay here. the nature vibe, friendly staff and their clean amenities. super relaxing, not that so crowded for a perfect place. you can also bring your own foods, drinks, may corkage pero maliit lang din.
3.7 out of 5 It’s like a resort on a small mountain. The place is mostly inclined so a bit warning for those with rheumatism. Nevertheless, they have wheel chairs readily available for senior citizens. Place is huge with lots of trees and plants. Majority of the place is shaded from the sun. There’s a Grotto at the back where you can do a mini-hike. You can also do sports at their field. There are a lot of kubos and tables. I think there are about 8 pools (most are warm). 2 are kiddie pools. My issue is that the water in the pools are not very clean. There are 2 pools with a foul smell (the one with the slides and the one with the waterfalls). They changed the water for the kiddie pool, though during our overnight stay. Picture in the website (the one with the large pool) is only for the Mediteranean Escape (hotel booking only). Thus, if you availed of the garden room only or daily rate, you cannot swim there. Bit misleading, to be honest. Food is okay. The free breakfast is tooo small! Hard to get water so bring your own! The service was GREAT. I think this is what increased the rating of this resort. We brought along our 95year old lola and she was well taken cared of. Special mention to Kuya Jaime (for carrying my lola to the kiddie pool so that she can swim), and Kuya Elmer and Randy. Please just clean your pools more by changing the water (not just by vacuuming). …
Been here twice now, my first visit was Nov 2016, and my experience is par excellence with food and services extended to me and my family by staff. Decided to go back this year after several search and checked reviews if other resorts. I could highly recommend this place again for its affordable, place is safe and secure, food wise it's delicious and all staff are so amazing in their jobs, and everyone finds its way on extending assistance to customers. I soaked myself and stayed in the pool till wee hours and the lifeguard and guard patiently watched for my safety. They extended services to other customers as I quietly watched and observed them. Their Aurora room is big enough for us 5 pax for I got visitor. Definitely would come back.
We live near Laguna and we have our yearly summer hot spring vacation and we always go to Dona Jovita's. The kiddie pool was perfect for my 2 kids. Perfect for toddlers. They were toddlers when we first visited, they are now 10 and 11 years old. There were many pools around the resort with different water temperatures but my husband and I like to stay at the warmest pool, the one near the resort entrance. You'd love to just stay there and relax. I think its super warm because the water being pumped to it is directly from Mt. Makiling's underground springs. Just don't let children stay in that pool for too long, they might get rashes like what happened to my youngest. We always stay at one of their villas, good for 4 people, but we're 7 including the kids, we just ask for 2 extra mattresses. The room had shower with the water from he hotsprings too so its also warm. Aircon's good and steady. There are picnic tables, kubo/nipa huts if you're not staying overnight. You can also pitch your own tent for a fee if you're in a budget but like to stay for more than a day. There are still public bathrooms and comfortrooms around so you don't need to worry about number 1 and 2. If you stay overnight, I recommend waking up early and checkout the back of the resort. You'll see a grotto which looks marvelous early morning. Take a hike at the grotto, since the resort is at the foot of Mt. Makiling, you'll get a good view of Makiling, smell fresh cool morning air, and hear birds chirping. Totally serene and natural! We haven't tried eating at the resort's resto since you can bring and cook your own food. Overall, this place is great and affordable. The neat rooms, clean enviroment and pools and the accomodating staff will also make you come back for another wonderful vacay! …
