Having read other readers reviews of hotel Sipan. We booked for 10nights half board. In our opinion it was a mistake as we found the evening dinner pretty basic and much of a muchness. On the other hand the breakfast was of a better standard. On hindsight we should have booked room and breakfast. The hotel itself was very good...

Great hotel with lovely peaceful location. The only thing missing is a balcony for that fantastic sea view! We were there for a week and loved the slow pace of the island - great place to recharge your batteries!

Having booked this hotel online, we were pleasantly surprised to find out how good it was. The staff are unfailingly helpful and friendly and able to arrange visits, sort out transfers etc. Antonia was particularly helpful via email before we left and speaks excellent English. The beds are a little hard and there is nowhere to hang wet swim stuff...

Hotel Sipan is a very solid three star hotel in an absolutely fantastic location. It sits at the head of the bay in Sipanska Luka, and plays host to some amazing sunsets. We were in a sea view classic double room - the sea view room is worth the wee bit extra, partly as they seem to come with much...

Echoing what other people have said in that the outlook from the sea view rooms is stunning but there are some problems with this hotel and this location. The rooms are small, there is nowhere to dry towels trunks etc, we had to turn the underfloor heating in the bathroom up to 6 and try to dry them overnight on...

Good 3 star small hotel. Staff work hard and are really polite and look after you well. It's a stunning location and we loved how small and uncommercial it was. We went Half board and the food was simple but yummy and always enough! The chef was always out checking the buffet to see if he needed to bring any...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The hotel is located at the north side on the island Šipan in the very South of Croatia, a district of Dubrovnik and is only 9 sea miles off the mainland. This charming 75 room hotel is situated on the waterfront in Sipanska Luka Bay typically known as a “Riva” providing guests with “picture postcard” views of the bay and the visiting luxury yachts that anchor in front of the hotel.. Known for its charm as a fishing village, the bay also provides one of the best sandy beach locations in the Elafiti Islands and with a west facing perspective provides dramatic sunsets over the Elafiti Islands.Šipan is an experience hard to find anywhere else in the Mediterranean, a place for true originality and romance, an experience of the real Croatia, unspoiled by mass-tourism and its consequences. ... more   less
