Dakak Park and Beach Resort is the closest place to paradise one could ever experience, with its beauty and serenity. Dakak started operating on 1988, was conveniently positioned in the southern part of the Philippines and surrounded by mountains in its west. Situated at Taguilon, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte, Dakak tactfully eludes the typhoon belt, making it an ideal all-season destination for travelers. Dakak is the first five-star resort in Mindanao with "AAA" accreditation from the Department of Tourism, located along a private 750 meter white sand beach. From the original two (2) cottages, it has expanded into 64 cottages with 160 fully-furnished; 64 Bungalows; 98 Deluxe rooms; 2 Executive rooms; 16 Prime Deluxe rooms; 14 Beachfront rooms in native duplex type bungalows with capiz shell window panes; and three (3) Family Pavilions with 30 family rooms and one (1) Presidential Suite. The staff were very accommodating and helpful especially the front desk and driver that gave us a ride to the restaurant coz' it's raining, the room was not that good because of the comfort room, the food in the restaurant was very good especially the "calamares" and their shakes, the view from the restaurant was very nice but, the when it rains, the tables and chairs were got wet and limited seats left to occupy, there were many pools to choose from kiddie pool to adult pool, the aqua center staff were very accommodating and very good in sales talking, the gears were stored properly and the place were cleaned. Recommended for day tour only for the locals and for those who travelers who loves aqua sports.

I booked 4 nights & it shows free shuttle. When i wanted to go out only covered 1 way, going back you are on your own. A lot of things to offer but not island hopping. I love the foods in Bamboo Restaurant. I wouldn't recommend & wouldn't coming back. Thank You

The rooms are old. The cable needed to be loaded. The food sucks. The price was steep. The tour was not well planned. Nothing else to do here. Hongkong would've been a much better alternative. What else can I say? Wont go back for sure.

We stayed in the Villa Angelina Luxury Suites section of the resort and were very satisfied. We were collected from the airport in a very comfortable, spacious and air conditioned vehicle with posh bottled water on standby. Jemuel was the Head Concierge and the person who took care of us throughout our stay. We had access to him 24/7 via text or phone call which was fantastic and he never once let us down. The food on sight was very good; particularly the Japanese and Korean Restaurant (the name has escaped me but it’s a short walk from the main reception). We were not interested in the exclusive entry to Fantasy Land (mini theme park) but it was nice to have the option. We just wanted to relax and unwind. The hotel room was superb. Dakak has a lot to offer in terms of cottages , villas and the beach. However, you are a captured market and must eat their food unless you have a vehicle to go to the town. Since the location is far from the city, you will eat in their restos. The buffet (regular days ) is mediocre.. food lacking in taste and variety. Breakfast sausage and meats absolutely tasteless. Plus points would be their staff, and the ambiance.

If you went to dipolog city and nothing to do anymore then you must visit dakak resort it’s 30minutes (mini bus) away from going to dapitan city and from dapitan city another 30minutes (tricycle or habal habal). The day tour entrance fee will cost you php1000 but 80% of your 1000 are consumables to food so need to worry if you are hungry you may dine at their restaurant which offers delicious filipino food. The place was very solemn and peaceful. They also have 3 swimming pools just in case you don’t want to swim at the beach.

Big Resort that have alot of pool options and water activity. Some facilities dated. Rooms are dated with limited cableTV, Huge Bath area. Stay included Small Theme Park trip and tickets. Food fresh with alot of options. Since its a big resort with restos and activities in multiple areas --get ready to take a hike, though carts available--just need to call them but you might still need to walk up/down to get to the paved road. Worth the trip down south but can get crowded during longweekend/holyweek.

Came early before 2pm and front desk gave an early check in which is really helpful. Staff attentiveness is 👍. Food is okay. A must visit if you love adventures, tried their horseback riding and zipline,its Amazing😍😍😍!!!Would definitely come back for more sports activities.Thanks Dakak!

This makes my 7th stay here from on the beach to on the hill in the family pavilion .Plan this trip for some time for family . No buffet on Saturday night or entertainment other than a song at each table . Family didn't get lechon as we had planned thanks to that and when we ordered they didn't have hamburger ,not that that was a deal breaker . Breakfast wasn't any better when I was told to upgrade it to a buffet when I had paid for a buffet breakfast to begin with . We had stayed in the new Boracay and if they closed it down then someone needs to check the beach in Dakak sewage going right out in the water . This was once a good place but has went down hill fast .Very unhappy with the way things were done this time . My family deserves better .When you travel over 12000 miles…

Dakak was way out of civilization, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. If you want this kind of vacation this is the place for you. There is no way you can get out of the resort on your own. You have to rent their van or a private one to tour outside of the resort. They have free shuttles to get you around the huge resort complex. The beach area was spectacular. They do have a number of activities that can occupy you while you are there. Food is fair. Breakfast buffet is offered with your reservation but only if the guest go over 80 otherwise you choose from the menu.We did get one buffet breakfast during our stay( I guess the guest exceeded 80) and it was excellent. They do daily mosquito spraying so dont be surprised with the evening knock. It is a very relaxing…
