#1 of 2 hotels in Dapitan City
Dakak Park and Beach Resort is the closest place to paradise one could ever experience, with its beauty and serenity. Dakak started operating on 1988, was conveniently positioned in the southern part of the Philippines and surrounded by mountains in its west. Situated at Taguilon, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte, Dakak tactfully eludes the typhoon belt, making it an ideal all-season destination for travelers. Dakak is the first five-star resort in Mindanao with "AAA" accreditation from the Department of Tourism, located along a private 750 meter white sand beach. From the original two (2) cottages, it has expanded into 64 cottages with 160 fully-furnished; 64 Bungalows; 98 Deluxe rooms; 2 Executive rooms; 16 Prime Deluxe rooms; 14 Beachfront rooms in native duplex type bungalows with capiz shell window panes; and three (3) Family Pavilions with 30 family rooms and one (1) Presidential Suite. Through the years, Dakak received various recognition locally and internationally among which are the Kalakbay Award for Resort on 1989 from the Philippine Department of Tourism; 16th International Award for Tourist, Hotel and Catering Industry on 1991 from the Trade Leaders Club and Editorial Office Madrid, Spain; a certificate of excellence by the Prestigious Resorts of the World on 1992; and has participated in the Dream Incentive Contest theme for the Philippines that has won the "Best Showcase 1997" in the Incentive Travel and Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT&CMA) last December 1997. Dakak Park and Beach Resort continuously strive to carry out its mission - "an abundance of recreational activities and entertainment, warm Filipino hospitality, and environment friendly ambiance."

My first time to visit the world famous Dakak Nature Park and Beach Resort... Date: April 23-25, 2008 Occasion: PFCCO's 48th Annual General Assembly and Educational Forum Via: Philippine Airlines (Manila to Dipolog) then Shuttle Service from Dipolog to Dakak. Dakak is very ideal for those who doesn't want the commercialized and overly crowded Bora scene... They have their inhouse bars though, but don't expect too much of a party scene here... Dakak is for peace and quiet and relaxation... Things you can buy at Dakak, Dapitan, or Dipolog: high quality yet low priced bottled sardines in oil or brine, some native nito baskets, nito wallets, etc... Souvenir shirt here is expensive though. Some hints to first time Dakak travellers: LUNCH UPON ARRIVAL: If you took the morning

Dakak Resort is an ideal place to relax as well as have fun. With its beautiful location, vast beautifully landscaped property, 3 pools, secluded beach, comfortable rooms and polite staff this is the place to be. I had been to several resorts like turks & caicos, mexico, and other caribbean resorts but Dakak is exceptionally beautiful. No other resort has a large property as Dakak that aside from laying in the beach, watersports, that you can also just enjoy jogging , hiking or walking as well as bird watching in the property. This is the place for people who wants to avoid rows and rows of hotels, Dakak is like a you're in a private island. The above comment is right no other means of transport except the hotel van or your own private transport but who needs to get out of

i went to Dakak park beach resort w/ my wife and a nephew last may 11 to 13. sadly the tranquility of the resort was disturbed by the typhoon. however, our travel there was all good experience right from the start till we left. arriving at the airport, we were picked up by accommodating staffs of the resort and after a long but exciting travel over the mountains and seaside of Dapitan city and dakak, we were checked-in into our native style bungalow on the hillside not far from the restaurant and swimming pools. the rooms are cosy only that tvs are old and sattellite is not good too. foods in the restaurant are exotically prepared, expensive but its okey with pounds to peso good rate hehe. i spent the next morning playing w/ the waves and jogging at its white powdery sand to

Last May 2008, my friends and I went to Dapitan City for a 2-day outing (despite the heavy rain & gusty wind). But still, we had GREAT FUN & ADVENTURE. On our first day went to Rizal Shrine and Glorietta at Dapitan. We spent the night at Dapitan City at a small but nice resort. During our 2nd day, we went to Dakak Park Beach Resort for sightseeing and picture taking since most of us haven't been to Dakak. We were all very excited to see the place and had a very "bumpy" ride since the road to Dakak is currently under construction (but that was part of the adventure). We arrive at Dakak after a 30-min bumpy ride & paid for the P200 entrance fee. We immediately toured around the place and had our picture taking. During lunchtime, 3 of my friends tried to look for a LADIES

I was there few months ago. The landscapes we’re amazing, I loved it. The beach/water is very good and they have beautiful cottages. Secluded place but beautiful. Staff we’re not that accommodating. Food is ok.. If you want a peaceful vacation - I think Dakak suits you.
