Dakak Park and Beach Resort is the closest place to paradise one could ever experience, with its beauty and serenity. Dakak started operating on 1988, was conveniently positioned in the southern part of the Philippines and surrounded by mountains in its west. Situated at Taguilon, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte, Dakak tactfully eludes the typhoon belt, making it an ideal all-season destination for travelers. Dakak is the first five-star resort in Mindanao with "AAA" accreditation from the Department of Tourism, located along a private 750 meter white sand beach. From the original two (2) cottages, it has expanded into 64 cottages with 160 fully-furnished; 64 Bungalows; 98 Deluxe rooms; 2 Executive rooms; 16 Prime Deluxe rooms; 14 Beachfront rooms in native duplex type bungalows with capiz shell window panes; and three (3) Family Pavilions with 30 family rooms and one (1) Presidential Suite. Through the years, Dakak received various recognition locally and internationally among which are the Kalakbay Award for Resort on 1989 from the Philippine Department of Tourism; 16th International Award for Tourist, Hotel and Catering Industry on 1991 from the Trade Leaders Club and Editorial Office Madrid, Spain; a certificate of excellence by the Prestigious Resorts of the World on 1992; and has participated in the Dream Incentive Contest theme for the Philippines that has won the "Best Showcase 1997" in the Incentive Travel and Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT&CMA) last December 1997. Dakak Park and Beach Resort continuously strive to carry out its mission - "an abundance of recreational activities and entertainment, warm Filipino hospitality, and environment friendly ambiance."
Let me explain why my two star is actually pretty generous. At one time in its former glory, this result appears nicely laid out and in a nice location. With that said DEFERRED MAINTENANCE problems EVERYWHERE. Lazy and creepy employees interested primarily in hiding in a dark corner using their phones, smoking, and COMPLETELY annoyed to even see a customer. Check in SHOULD be a time to make a great first impression? No. Tied, drunk or just lazy…. Scratching their bottom while walking over for the hassle of a check in. No smile. No welcome drink. Just a look of faux civility. Housekeeping is lazy, cob-webs in the bungalow, dirty, stained towels and haphazard. Forget daily maid service. If you ask for it, they simply bring a towel and toilet paper then simply…

Went here for a day trip and although it was a cloudy to rainy day, spent a good amount of time dipping in its pool-like calm water and flat seabed. Resort is big that upon entrance, shuttle had to take me to the beach and restaurants area. (Hired a motorbike which dropped me off at the entrance. Those with own cars get to go straight and park inside). Aside from its lovely beach and pools, this resort ensures convenience to its guests with its many shower/bathrooms, restaurant options, beach chairs. Entrance fee is at Php500, Php200 of which is consummable at select restaurants. It's a resort so everything is more expensive (beer that's usually at Php70 is priced at Php120) . With Php200, you can buy a drink and some fries. For additional fees, there are activities…

I would like to commend Dakak Park and Beach resort because we had an awesome stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We stayed at the Pavilion room where we have 3 senior citizens tagging along with us, They enjoyed their stay too. I am a mother of 2 and we came from Cagayan De Oro. I was indeed relaxed and just what i needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded city. They were also very responsive when I was making reservations, clarifications online. Appreciate it so much! 5 stars to Dakak Park and Beach Resort.. Hope to be back soon!

A Hidden Gem of the south. Every time I went for vacation I would never miss going to Dakak with my Family. My Nephew and Nieces enjoyed Horseback riding, Jet Skiing, and the zipline was amazing. The staff were very accommodating. Food was great! I would highly recommend this place to everyone and love to come back here again soon.

It was our first time to visit villa angelina. The suites was totally nice.. luxury cya talaga.. big rooms, nice sofa, and the bed was so soft and comfy.. no complains there. so we went to check on the jacuzzi, and bam!!! super dumi.. lots of black ants ... the water was very dirty.. full of leaves and brownish color..The Hot water was not working hahahaha kaloka.. The bathroom faucet was also leaking with waters. It would drip on the floor everytime we wash our hands.. gossshh very disappointing. Do they even check on their facilities??? and to think they want us to deposit an incident fee worth 3500. The staff is not that friendly.. parang galit yata. more smile pleassseeeee. Upon checking out, of course we have to wait for the van to pick us up since no cars are…

My family saved for months because we wanted to try and stay at their most luxurious room the Casita Cliffside (Villa Angelina) for New Year and experience room service that you cannot just find in ordinary resorts and hotels. To our dismay, 20,000 pesos per night's worth of room is just only that. Care and service by the staff are so terrible. The soap, toothpaste and shampoo they gave us were so tiny, it would not have been enough for 1 use for a single person. And when we asked for more, well only the ghosts have heard us. No such items were delivered. We paid for an additional 3 people and for the bed they would sleep at. But they did not provide the amenities needed for every one of us. There were 6 of us and the room only had 2 towels, the free water they gave us only…

It's been eight full years since I last stayed at reviewed Dakak Park & Beach Resort, and truth be told, with the COVID-19 pandemic being what it is, I never actually thought I'd get to go back there, at least not this soon, but I am glad I got to go, this time with my wife. At the outset I'd like to report, quite enthusiastically, that the room we stayed in was a huge improvement from the one I had stayed in eight years ago. It was basically the same room but comprehensively refurbished. Gone was the picture tube television and the non-functional intercom, replace with all modern amenities. I was very grateful for this. I was also happy to see the beach again, which was really very welcoming for the most part, though the one aspect that my wife and I noticed was the culvert…

I had friends visiting Dipolog and Dakak where Villa Angelina is at is one of the nearby must-see attractions. I communicated via email with their Front Desk/Reservations for the purpose of sending the downpayment, asking for entry requirements since my friends were from manila and other things. Glydel, the Front Desk/Reservations Officer who I coordinated with for our reservations and requirements stretched my patience to the limits.Their contact numbers are all mobile phones and it would take so many rings before she would pick up, most of the time she would not answer at all. I probably called the two numbers they gave me more than 20 times the day before my guests were due to arrive since they assured they would process the letter of acceptance from the city. In the end,…

We arrived at 2pm, which is the check-in time but they provided us our rooms at 4pm. We have 6 rooms booked. 2 of the rooms were available at 5pm. They said they were still cleaning them. The resort was fully booked but no festive feeling for guests. The food was ordinary, no shows, no buffet. Nada. And we were asked to check out on time. NOT FAIR.
