Dakak Park and Beach Resort is the closest place to paradise one could ever experience, with its beauty and serenity. Dakak started operating on 1988, was conveniently positioned in the southern part of the Philippines and surrounded by mountains in its west. Situated at Taguilon, Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte, Dakak tactfully eludes the typhoon belt, making it an ideal all-season destination for travelers. Dakak is the first five-star resort in Mindanao with "AAA" accreditation from the Department of Tourism, located along a private 750 meter white sand beach. From the original two (2) cottages, it has expanded into 64 cottages with 160 fully-furnished; 64 Bungalows; 98 Deluxe rooms; 2 Executive rooms; 16 Prime Deluxe rooms; 14 Beachfront rooms in native duplex type bungalows with capiz shell window panes; and three (3) Family Pavilions with 30 family rooms and one (1) Presidential Suite. Through the years, Dakak received various recognition locally and internationally among which are the Kalakbay Award for Resort on 1989 from the Philippine Department of Tourism; 16th International Award for Tourist, Hotel and Catering Industry on 1991 from the Trade Leaders Club and Editorial Office Madrid, Spain; a certificate of excellence by the Prestigious Resorts of the World on 1992; and has participated in the Dream Incentive Contest theme for the Philippines that has won the "Best Showcase 1997" in the Incentive Travel and Conventions, Meetings Asia (IT&CMA) last December 1997. Dakak Park and Beach Resort continuously strive to carry out its mission - "an abundance of recreational activities and entertainment, warm Filipino hospitality, and environment friendly ambiance."

Dakak is relaxing place to stay for weekends, however I would like to emphasise the wrong advertisement they have on Expedia. I booked a room prime deluxe for 3 because according to the description it is WHEEL CHAIR ACCESSIBLE, my father is disabled and he is on wheelchair.. So when we arrived for check in, they brought us to the room with 13 big steps. So how is it possible to call wheelchair accessible? Please stop putting wrong descriptions next time.. Do you know how much hassle it would cost me especially my disabled ♿ father? Even if you would say some of the staff will assist us, 13 big steps are 13 big steps, that's not wheelchair accessible!!!

Went here for a day trip and although it was a cloudy to rainy day, spent a good amount of time dipping in its pool-like calm water and flat seabed.

Resort is big that upon entrance, shuttle had to take me to the beach and restaurants area. (Hired a motorbike which dropped me off at the entrance. Those with own cars get to go straight and park inside).

Aside from its lovely beach and pools, this resort ensures convenience to its guests with its many shower/bathrooms, restaurant options, beach chairs.

Entrance fee is at Php500, Php200 of which is consummable at select restaurants. It's a resort so everything is more expensive (beer that's usually at Php70 is priced at Php120) . With Php200, you can buy a drink and some fries.

For additional fees, there are activities available including a trip to a nearby island called Aliguay.

Like the title says, Dakak is beautiful, but not worth the price. It should be around 9k, with 12k being the max in my opinion.

Tip: DO NOT take the beach casa rooms! They are the most expensive rooms, but are worse and actually smaller than the Cliffside rooms. If you go there thinking more expensive room are better, you'll be dead wrong. Take the Cliffside rooms instead.

If you can, insist on getting a checklist of what the room should contain. My friend's Cliffside room did not have a robe, bubble bath soap, wifi, nor the remote control for the motorized curtains. Our room did not have bedside speakers and wifi.

Another thing I noticed is their shuttle drivers have little to no knowledge about the rooms. When asking for the difference between Cliffside a and b, they couldn't answer me.

Also when they gave me a router for the wifi, the delivering staff told me that the password is default and can be found behind the router. After several frustrating tries (since the password was faded and couldn't make up for the 2 letters), I finally called reception to ask for another router, only to be told the password was just villa2021.

Overall, my stay was a bit frustrating but was made better with the comfortable room and relaxing, beautiful view. 3 stars

We went there with my family 2 weeks ago. And we stayed in the family pavilion room. All I can say is that they should treat every guest the same level weather they are staying in the most expensive room or not. The breakfast service are not the same with the guest that are staying in the deluxe room to the guest that are staying in the family room. Deluxe/villa guest can enjoy a breakfast buffet at the main restaurant while we are staying in the family room that we paid for almost 35k pesos for 2 nights sent us to the other place that they just serve a bland preset meal. We had experienced the worst food ever on this resort. And the customer service is also poor. We checked in at 3pm and left for the beach and when we came back to the room at 6pm they still did not deliver the towels in the room.. We already tried to call the housekeeping 3x but still they did not deliver the towels right away. They waited until my mother went to the front desk to make a complain. And the pool is so dirty they did not even know how to maintain a big resort like that.

My family saved for months because we wanted to try and stay at their most luxurious room the Casita Cliffside (Villa Angelina) for New Year and experience room service that you cannot just find in ordinary resorts and hotels. To our dismay, 20,000 pesos
per night's worth of room is just only that. Care and service by the staff are so terrible.

The soap, toothpaste and shampoo they gave us were so tiny, it would not have been enough for 1 use for a single person. And when we asked for more, well only the ghosts have heard us. No such items were delivered.

We paid for an additional 3 people and for the bed they would sleep at. But they did not provide the amenities needed for every one of us. There were 6 of us and the room only had 2 towels, the free water they gave us only had 2 small bottles for the rest of our stay for 4 days.
That would not have been a problem if we could call their front desk easily. But no, it takes a long time to contact them, and when they do answer it was like they were mad that we called. It was still afternoon and we just had arrived. They must have had a stick up their bums or something.

Whenever we called for the room to be cleaned and for fresh towels, no one came to our room until the very day we checked out. This is not what is expected for a room with such price.

And you would think for a room like that, there would be Wifi right? There wasnt one, and when we asked if they had wifi, they said they only had a prepaid modem that was really very slow and would not have provided us had we not asked.

The only thing good about staying there was the car service they provided and the drivers courteousness to get to and from the beach, and restaurants for free.

Their food is so repetitive and nothing special for its price.

This is just my opinion, but the Casita Cliffside is not worth staying at. Go spend your hard-earned money someplace else. But if you were to stay at their other rooms, it might be okay. The beach is still nice and so are the other activities you can do.

I’ve been to this place many times to spend some quality time with my family. I love Dakak but this time I’m quite dissappointed. The food is really bad. I guess they’d rather remove the free breakfast altogether if they cannot provide a good one. Usually my family gets a room that’s good for 2 with 2 kids so the breakfast is ok. But this time we got the barkada room since we want to stay in one room with the rest of our extended family. Unfortunately, the breakfast is really bad. It would be better if they do not include free breakfast in the package. Another thing, my sis in law had the worst experience with their frontliner. She almost lost her composure, with all the changes and charges they ask from us, she didn’t argue with them but then it was already past 2pm and still they cannot provide the room for us to stay. Their reason was the room’s not yet ready. Wow! That’s customer service. The place is so crowded and noisy especially the beachfront and the restaurant....I would suggest they would control their day tour guests if the facility is fully-booked to provide some privacy and space for the checked-in guests. Better to accommodate day-tour guests only for off peak season. Water for bathing was a problem too. Supply of water in our room was scarce. No wifi signal and cellular coverage is so poor. They should have a lot of supply of water if they intend to accommodate more guests. Well, I hope next time we visit Dakak there will be some improvement on the customer service and facilities mentioned above.

My message to Dakak went unanswered… for 2 weeks now

1. Since not all amenities are available, in fairness, the room rates should have been reduced. Presumably, the room rate covers use of all amenities but since not all are open, a corresponding reduction should have been fairer to your patrons.
2. Toilet fixtures were broken/leaking
3. As a beach resort, it would have been nice if you provided beach slippers at least for the deluxe rooms
4. No face/hand towels were provided. It’s a standard for resorts of your category and for the price you charge.
5. Wifi was mostly unavailable/spotty
6. No beach towels in the pool - again, standard for resorts of your kind.
7. Buffet breakfast for deluxe rooms was converted to regular breakfast since, reportedly, only a few rooms were occupied. Not fair, right?

Having stayed at dakak resort for over 3 weeks I can sincerely say that the resort is a paradise...white Sandy beach, lush greenery around and comfortable rooms with a private terrace. The staff and service provided are second to none. The new international restaurant Sea Catch raised the standards of the food which would otherwise be limited. We then enjoyed the highlight of our stay at the exclusive Villa Angelina. This was indeed the icing on the cake. The ambience was perfect to unwind, enjoy a romantic stay and be pampered. Our room overlooked the beautiful beach and the jacuzzi on our terrace was perfect to enjoy our sundowners. Highly recommend this experience. And by the way the golf course is probably one of the best you can find.....it’s just stunning...

Checked in to a deluxe room which is very nice and quite... until the next door neighbour played ukelele and sang happy birthday in chorus at 5AM!!!

Food was great but fruits were very limited. You need to pay extra just to get a slice of mango. Was surprised to see a buffet where you are not allowed to serve your own plate.

So much rubbish left on the beach and even under the sea. They need to do serious clean up, regularly and probably look on ways to replant corals.

Dakak Park and Beach Resort is truly a hidden gem in the Philippines. The resort is located in the picturesque province of Zamboanga del Norte and offers a breathtaking view of the crystal-clear waters of Taguilon Beach.

From the moment you arrive, you will be greeted by friendly staff who will make sure that your stay is nothing short of amazing. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and offer stunning views of the ocean. The resort also has a variety of activities to keep you entertained, including beach volleyball, snorkeling, and kayaking.

The highlight of my stay was the incredible food. The resort has a number of restaurants that serve a variety of delicious dishes, from traditional Filipino cuisine to international flavors. The seafood is especially fresh and delicious, and I highly recommend trying the local specialties.

Another standout feature of the resort is the breathtaking infinity pool. This pool overlooks the ocean and is the perfect place to relax and soak up the sun. The pool area is well-maintained and there are plenty of lounge chairs available for guests.

Overall, my stay at Dakak Park and Beach Resort was nothing short of magical. The stunning scenery, top-notch amenities, and exceptional service all come together to create a truly unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a tropical getaway!
