Detailed Reviews
Our stay at this accommodation was perfect for our group of three families. With its affordability and proximity to Gloria's Fantasy Land, it provided a convenient and safe base for our adventures. The secure parking was a huge plus, ensuring peace of mind throughout our stay. We couldn't have asked for a better place to create lasting memories with our loved ones. Highly recommended for families seeking comfort and convenience at a reasonable price.

We moved from Bajamunde pension to Villa pilar. Though the room was smaller it is better located and the same price as bajamunde (700php). The air conditioning was good and there is excellent food service. The compound is large and mainly grassed with a lovely garden with lots of exotic plants (we picked our own mangos from the garden). There are generally guys waiting outside to transport you to the town or to dakak for a small fee, only 15php for a bike into town and the market and local shops only 3 minutes away or a 15 minute walk. The beach is on the other side of the road from the villa and you can watch the local fishermen and women bring in their catch every day. With Glorias fantasyland and so many places to eat and drink and video-k of course it is a lovely place to stay and sample the local delights.

My friend booked us here when we went to Dapitan for her wedding. It's close where she lives, with many dining options around. Tricycles can be found waiting just outside the establishment to take you anywhere in the city. Also, Gloria's Fantasy Land is only ~100 meters away; there's an ATM and other food choices inside the leisure park.
The pension house is clean and maintained enough. Our room has A/C, 2 single beds, a mirror, a big enough closet for clothes and luggage, a big window, and tiles for floor. The table for dining is located just outside the room, in a somewhat veranda/terrace/hallway. It was good that we were lodged at the end of the hall hence we didn't have people walking back and forth to their rooms. En suite toilert/bath is small, shower does not work. They do have some toiletries (soap, toothpaste, shampoo) and fresh towels. Housekeeping is daily. Although there was no phone in the room, they do deliver your food to your dining table after ordering at the front desk. They have big enough parking area and lots of plants inside their walls. Outside the inn, across the road (Sunset Boulevard), is the beach where you can catch the sunset (hence the name of the road).
We weren't able to sleep until late in the evening on our second night as there was this family reunion (we guessed) and they were singing so loud using the karaoke. The resort had a brief power failure, fortunately (ironically) for us since we were so tired that day, so they stopped. Breakfast is filling but choices are limited.
Villa Pilar is a good enough lodging place, and good value for money.

We were driving down the Boulevard of Dapitan City and were choosing among the series of B&Bs. We chose Villa Pillar for two things:
1. I felt secured spending the night in the compound, clear defined boundaries of public and the inn.
2. Closest to Glorias where you'd most likely have your dinner.
I was satisfied with Room 5B. Airconditioning was cool and quiet, TV was small, but with good reception, It had two beds (double and single) which was good enough. Spent only Php850 ($19 USD) but is exclusive of breakfast. Breakfast ala-carte was roughly at P80 per serving. Bathroom was a bit small especially the bowl that's situated on the side of the wash-sink. Water pressure was good too.
Other than that, I'm glad we stayed here. Dapitan folks are friendly and so is the crew who handled Villa Pillar.

The Inn was affordable and fully air conditioned. The price is for only 500 php good for 2 pax and it was great. Their receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. They also have a great serving of food. I did not even bothered myself to go out to look for a food. They have it for only 80 pesos per set. Also the inn is closed to Fantasyland and Dakak

This place needs improvement!! They need to improve the conditions of their rooms, especially the bath room. The paints are peeling. The amenities need repair. They have a hard time catering to a sudden influx of guests. The only good thing about this place is they have a spacious parking area.

I am here for work. We are 3 girls and we got a room for only 850pesos. Pretty cheap for, a let me term it... provincially-commercialized area. Very accessible to restaurants that offer home-made cooking and grilled dishes, to the Glorietta Mall that offers surprisingly very cheap items i swear, and the beach.
This is also where Jose Rizal, our national hero, was exiled. It will be my 3rd time to visit his museum.
I understand why he fell in love with this city. Just come visit, you will too.

Great place to stay in one of the nicest towns in Mindanao. Their biggest and best aircon rooms are 5 metres x 5 metres plus big outside balcony facing landscaped gardens. PhP 1,000 per night is really a bargain. Bathroom in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint and a bit of TLC.
