The hotel is good along sunset boulevard. The rooms are ok: clean and comfortable. The price is at PHP700/night which is a bit high for backpackers but not so expensive. There is also a lot of restaurants and amusement outside.. Gloria de Dapitan is just a walking distance.. Would recommend this pension house for those who would stay in Dapitan if you're in a budget but would like to have a spacious and clean room.
If not for the low water pressure (I couldn't use the shower so I had to use the pail and water dipper--not good if you're in a hurry) and the musty smell of the room, obviously it hasn't been aired out (which I understand because of the lack of guests), it would have been perfect. The receiving area was beautifully designed and spacious to lounge around and connect to the free wifi. The front desk was accommodating and helpful in directing me to an eatery a few distance away on foot. I loved walking in the Sunset Boulevard area even if it was a hot day, there were plenty of trees to make the area cool and breezy. Gloria de Dapitan was a few minutes away. For P600 for a standard accommodation, it was a good value for my money.
My family and I stayed here for two nights. It was very cheap for 1,000 pesos a night for a family room. The location was good, the beach is just accross the road. The staff were informative and friendly. If we'll go back to dapitan, we'll definitely stay here again.
I stayed here for 4 nights. It was very good value for money 700php a night for a large room with one double bed and one single with aircon. staff were very friendly and helpful. They directed me to Erlindas a restaurant 200metres down the road which served lovely food.
The room I stayed in had 2 double beds which I shared with an officemate. The bed was ok, the aircon was cool, but the pillows are lumpy and smell a bit moldy. The blankets are very thin. The bathroom left much to be desired - the water pressure is very low, so imagine how many times you have to flush the toilet and obviously, the shower can't be used properly, but you have to if you want to bathe with hot water - otherwise, you will have to use the pail and the "tabo". We were there for a workshop, and I felt that the breakfast menu fell very short, quantity and quality- we were served bread, eggs and spanish sardines, and not even the local ones Dipolog is famous for but those commercially sold ones in cans. The service was generally slow as well. Better just eat out (there are numerous eateries along the boulevard). The front of the pension house is very nice, let's just hope that the service and amenities catch up.…
