Facilities include a restaurant, bar, fresh water pool and complimentary WiFi connection. The wide and breezy wrap-around verandas on both ground and first floors have clusters of comfortable chairs making an ideal location to relax, read or just soak up the tranquility of the surrounding tropical gardens. Our colourful landscaped gardens with seasonal flowering trees also include mangoes, bananas, plaintains, fig bananas, limes, avacado and grapefruit. These attract a variety of wildlife including the Barbados green monkey. Arrangements have been made for our guests to use the Spa and Beauty Treatment facility "Indulgence" operated by Royal Westmoreland which is just a four minute walk away. On Mullins beach there are chaises and umbrellas for rent and a variety of water sports. Mullins Beach Bar & Restaurant is an ideal spot for lunch, dinner or maybe a sunset cocktail.

I cannot praise the owners of Bayfield House, Trevor and Pam, highly enough, from the moment we arrived when we were warmly welcomed and offered a delicious and revitalising Rum Punch after our long flights from Edinburgh. Their hospitality, along with Maria their daughter, was first class. Our room was light and airy, the bed very comfortable and everywhere was spotless. Having a fridge in the room was a great boon. We were only a short walk away from Mullins beach and the quieter Gibbes Beach and some wonderful restaurants and bars. Maria especially gave us some fantastic insider knowledge and tips. Do take her advice, you won’t go wrong. Can’t wait to go back.

It was lovely to get back to Barbados after the last year everyone has had. This is our 11th annual holiday staying at Bayfield House, our first was a year after it had opened as a guest house. Over the years we have become good friends with Trevor, Pam, Maria and family and thoroughly enjoy their hospitality and company. Needless to say, we love the place! We were the last visitors to Bayfield House when Covid struck in 2020 and were keen to return as soon as possible. After two cancelled attempts due to UK government Covid lockdowns, we managed to get there as soon as Barbados was put on the UK green travel country list at the end of June 2021. We had three tranquil weeks to unwind, relax and do some scuba diving.

Bayfield House is not only our perfect place to stay in Barbados, it is the perfect location for a safe vacation during these challenging times of Covid. Each of the nine rooms opens onto the light and breezy open air balcony or walkway. There is plenty of space around the pool for the small number of guests that can stay at any one time. There is plenty of space for social distancing.

Bayfield House is set in a quiet area but is within easy walking distance of a number of restaurants and two beaches: Mullins is a serviced beach with loungers and shades to rent, food and drink restaurants and vendors, plus water sports. Gibbes beach is very tranquil with no amenities.

Trevor and Pam are very good hosts and will assist with car rental, restaurant bookings, etc.

There are a few hurdles to overcome to travel to Barbados, due the UK and Barbados Covid travel protocols, but in the end we found them quite easy.

For travel, we recommend taking paper copies of documents such as vaccination certificates and PCR test results as airport officials found these easier to read than on the smartphone.

We had a lovely three week holiday and felt much safer from Covid in Barbados than the UK. We have already booked our next stay at Bayfield House!

My wife and I stayed at Bayfield House for 10 days in September this year. The house is perfectly located 5mins stroll from the pristine beach of Mullins with a bus stop at the end of the road that will take you the length of the West coast if you want.

The room is well equipped with a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk delivered daily if required and the bed is by far the most comfortable I have slept on outside of my own at home.

With a welcome rum punch whipped up by Trevor and a delicious three course meal cooked for us our first night, waiting out our PCR test results was a dream.

Our daily breakfast was phenomenal, hearty English, fruit and fresh brewed tea and coffee, quite possibly the best set up for the day.

The gardens are immaculate and a bounty of wildlife. From doves, lizards, humming birds and a morning and evening monkey parade it is a vibrant and beautiful place to while away the day when not the exploring the island.

A short walk down the coast from Mullins beach we saw a turtle hatchling and had the entire of Gibbes beach to ourselves. Truly, Bayfield and this little slice of paradise is Barbados’s best kept secret, and Trevor and his wife the most gracious of guardians!

This is a fantastic bed and breakfast house. We have been staying here for a number of years and things just keep getting better

Barbados has got the balance right with its Covid restrictions . You feel safe and you can get on with your holiday at the same time

Bayfield House is registered to be able to quarantine when you first arrive , pending your swab result . Our negative results were through in a number of hours!

You receive a true Barbados welcome on arriving at Bayfield House- Trevor’s excellent Rum Punch. What a start to your stay!

They are a mind of information to help you plan your days, whether it is your first stay or if you are regulars like ourselves.

Bayfield House is a five minute walk from Mullins beach and a couple of minutes more to Gibbs beach. There are many restaurants and bars within this area, with the current go to restaurant here to

We are all nervous of holiday life post vaccinations but we feel safer here than back in the UK.

If you just want time in the pool there is plenty space and time to swim or relax

Rooms all have air conditioning

You must go to Bayfield House and experience a home from home experience on one of the most naturally holiday destinations I have visited

Can not recommend Bayfield House in Barbados enough. Everything about it is perfect. From Pam, Trevor and Maria who go out of their way to make your stay as wonderful as possible to being in the most beautiful location on the planet. As soon as you arrive you are greeted with Trevor's gorgeous rum punches, then go for a dip in the immaculate pool before walking a few steps down the road to see Mullins beach and it's beautiful sunsets. The accommodation is in walking distance of some wonderful restaurants all to suit different prices. This is our third time of visiting and can't wait to return. It really is paradise, you will not regret staying here.
Thank you for everything Pam, Trevor and Maria x

I cannot recommend Bayfield House enough. It’s a very special place. The lovely large rooms with the cool balconies running around the building. Freshly cooked breakfast overlooking the garden. Warm swimming pool. Quiet location but handy for everything. 2 great beaches with within walking distance. Mullins beach has rental beds/umbrellas, shop, restaurant and water activities. Gibbs beach is just a lovely quiet beach. The hosts Trevor, Pam and Maria make you stay at Bayfield special as attention to detail is the norm. Arrive as guests leave as friends.
Entry into Barbados via airport is now a breeze and so quick.
Thanks Trevor, Pam and Maria for an exceptional holiday.

This is the first time I have stayed at Bayfield House and I would certainly go back, it is a true haven of peace and tranquility for those travellers wanting to avoid a crowded hotel.
Trevor and his wife Pam the resident owners are perfect hosts and Trevor's breakfasts and omelettes are delicious. The pool area and gardens are lovely and very relaxing.
All the rooms are spacious with large comfortable beds dressed with crisp white Egyptian cotton - heaven !
Mullins Beach and the local buses are a 5 min stroll down the road, so no need for a car unless you want to explore the island, in which case Trevor will arrange a local firm and share his vast knowledge of where to go and visit.
All in all a true gem giving superb value for money, but don't expect wet T shirt competitions !

We have just had a wonderful stay at Bayfield House, Trevor and Pam could not have been kinder or more attentive. Breakfast was delicious and the room clean, quiet and comfortable with a great bed and extra thick white bath towels. The location is extremely convenient for everything you would want to do, it is easy to see why so many holiday makers return again and again. Highly recommended.

We've been fairly regular visitors to Bayfield House but for one reason or another time has crept by and it's been five years since we were last there. Now you might think that standards could slip as Pam and Trevor rested on their laurels, but not a bit of it. The place is absolutely pristine, the food as good as ever, the rum punches beyond compare and Trevor and Pam give the warmest of welcomes.

We weren't sure how things would be in these challenging times, but with Trevor's support and advice, it was all very simple. Our transfer from the airport was speedy and we didn't have long to wait to receive the all clear from the airport Covid test. Trevor helped us on the return leg with getting a private Covid test (more expensive, but saved the trip to Bridgetown and possible queue). All very simple in the end.

If you can manage to book a room at Bayfield House, you are in for a treat - the perfect antidote to the last 16 months or so.

We had the most amazing stay at Bayfield house, we only wish it could have been for longer! Pam and Trevor are fantastic hosts and we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes. They are so knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions, as well as help with the dreaded return journey home. The rooms are stunning, light, airy and spotlessly clean. They all go out onto a wrap around terrace which is the perfect spot for some morning reading. The pool area and garden is beautiful, a lovely place to enjoy some delicious rum punch (best we found on the island, and we did some serious research!). The location is fantastic, a mere five minute walk from Mullins beach and 10 minutes from Gibbs. I would highly recommend Bayfield house and will be back as soon as we can! Thank you so much Pam and Trevor.
