My wife and her family, 6 in all, stayed for 2 nights it cost $au400 per night and that was on a 50% off deal
Not allowed to stay in 1 x room like the Filipinos had to be separate rooms
Then got hit with $400 for food and breakfast was free
Not happy really puts a dark cloud over your stay
Don't go.

- booking disconnected between their Manila office and the resort office.
- as a result the room was not ready when I got there and had to wait for more than half an hour
- not running a real spa despite the high price
- no WiFi in room, and WiFi cannot connect to internet in the public hot spots, allegedly due to too many guests (will you not upgrade?)
- with so many operational problems front staff is always distracted and tense.

I booked this hotel for 3 days, but never arrived. I am sure the rooms are nice and all but there is something else you need to be careful with.
When we arrived in the Philippines my wife must have eaten something bad because she got a bad case of gastroenteritis and we could not travel anymore.
I called Agoda (who I used for reservations) and explained the situation that I could not travel (hotel is at least 3 hour drive from Clarke airport).
This where it gets nasty and I advise all not to use Agoda for any hotel booking.
They assured me over phone that if I would be able to provide a doctor letter with the name of my wife, date, diagnosis and signature from the doctor, I would be able to get a refund.
This is exactly what I did only to find out on my return home (!!) this is not the case. Additional questions, stamps are now required, hospital visits evidence, which I cannot provide anymore and they never asked for in the first place.
Till this date I have not received a refund and please still fighting with them over this.
My advice is to use booking.com or a different provider that does accommodate for these situations.
It's very strange that these medical based circumstances are not dealt with. From now on I will never use Agoda again and advise you to do the same.
Booking.com does not charge you, and will only charge you after your stay, which would have helped in my case.

Enjoy your holiday!

I don't recommend this resort, the manager mishandled us. The manager also abuses her staff to the full view of the guests. Restrooms are not well maintained, the accommodation and food are very expensive. The resort take advantage of unsuspecting guests! They don't even issue official receipts. The Department of Tourism, the BIR and other government regulatory agencies must do something on this resort! Terrible! Enough!!!

My Fiancée, Rene Rose Racal is a provincial girl who hails from the Mayantoc farming community, Tarlac Province, Philippines. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Tourism, she was employed as a Stewardess by the Victory Liner Bus Transportation Company and became quite familiar with the various tourist guest properties throughout the Luzon Region of the Philippines. Her desire from childhood was to be married in a garden or beach setting and after careful evaluation; we both selected Puerto Del Sol Beach Resort and Hotel Club, located in Bolanio, Pangasinan Province, to be the venue for our wedding.

This decision proved to be an excellent choice because from the outset, we were introduced to the very professional and hospitable attitude of the Resort’s Corporate Sales Manager and Wedding Consultant, Ms. Cherry J. Valentin. We had received some preliminary materials regarding their Wedding Packages and finally agreed on their “Gold Package” just three weeks prior to our actual wedding date (Saturday, September 24th, 2011). The Saturday choice was to allow for many of the invited Guest who would have work/school commitments and may not have been able to attend during the week. A Victory Liner Bus was provided for many of the guests traveling from the farming community; others traveled via their own private vehicles. To my absolute amazement and pleasure, Ms Cherry, working very closely with my Fiancée Rene Rose, was able to bring it all together in just three short weeks from the date of our confirmation.

From the outset of our visit to the Puerto Del Sol Beach Resort, we experienced a very warm greeting by the Front Gate (Security) personnel and were escorted to the Reception/Office area. We were then received by their manager and escorted to our accommodation which overlooked the swimming pool. He then accompanied us on a private tour of the property.

It was quite evident that the grounds were very well manicured and immaculately maintained. Carefully selected mature flowering plants and lush vegetation, made it possible for the property to appear to be in full bloom, even during the rainy season. Just about every corner of the property lends itself to be an excellent back drop for a photograph. The uniquely designed buildings surrounding the pool area provides an excellent view of the pool and garden setting. Overlooking the pool was a fully equipped bar which we did not avail ourselves of because of our Christian beliefs. Just behind the Bar is a Jacuzzi and Body Massage area.

In front of the pool is a very large open grassed area with a gazebo on one side and a chapel like area on the other. This was the intended location for our wedding ceremony and reception. There is also a covered recreational area with open sides that housed a pool table. On the opposite side was a large conference meeting hall. Tucked in the corner behind the Reception/Office building is a children’s play area equipped with swings, slides and climbing bars. The formal dining area with a fully equipped bar has a walk-out on to a large open sided, covered gazebo-like structure that overlooks the beach area with a 180⁰ view of the Luzon Sea. Owing to the fact that our wedding was held during the rainy season, and the fact that it actually rained on our wedding day, this gazebo was the eventual location for our wedding ceremony. Our reception was held in the large conference meeting hall.

By this time it was evening and when we emerged from the garden area on to the beach front, we had stepped into another world. The timing could not have been more perfect as we witnessed one of the most beautiful sunsets ever. The beach front is lined with palm trees, other mature vegetation and flowering plants. There was a floating covered gazebo for sitting off. The beach, just like the garden area, was well cared for by the beach resort staff. The beach was well illuminated by tall lamp posts and although connected to other private and homeowner properties, the presence of the Resort’s security personnel provided the added comfort of safety and security.

Our entire stay was met with more of this kind, hospitable, care and attention by all of the beach resort staff. In spite of the weather, our wedding went off as planned. Our wedding coordinator (Ms Cherry) was outstanding with her attention to the details of our wedding ceremony and one of the highlights of our reception was the “Chefs’ Parade” hosted by the beach resort’s management and staff, and the “Lechon” presentation. This was truly an unforgettable occasion and will be treasured by my wife and I for the rest of our lives.

Owing to the fact that our wedding was the main focus of our stay there, we did not avail ourselves of the various tourist attractions in the area. It is our plan to return to the beach resort from time to time to celebrate this very memorable time we enjoyed there. This was the happiest moment of our lives and we would highly recommend Puerto Del Sol Beach Resort & Hotel Club as a venue for this very important event in any couple’s lives . . . “their wedding”.

I am an frequent traveler from manila, and usually I stay for 3 days and 2 nights to explore the place of each resort/hotel where I checked in.

Since the resort is only reachable by means of land transportation, It took me 7 hours (or 7 1/2?) to reach this piece of paradise. And to my surprise, resort staffs welcomes us (by the way, we are 7 people) with their shell necklace with smile :) imagine, we traveled a long way and i'm glad to see the resort's staffs smiling while giving us the necklace. WOW. :)

On the way to our room, the housekeeping staffs help us with our luggage. I feel so comfortable the way they treat us, it's like we are on our own house with a wonderful landscapes, stunning view of south china sea, and a well maintained grotto.

On the first day (upon arrival) we decided to relax and have a dip on their Jacuzzi. since the Jacuzzi has a limited time, I inquire the front desk about the massage offered by them. the masseuse are so professional. I highly recommend them if you want to have a complete relaxation!

On the Second day of our stay, I've asked the front desk if they have any tour that they can offer us since I have this idea that there is such a lot of tourists spots that we can enjoy at bolinao. She offered me land tour and we visited the cave, light house and the scenic rock formations (my personal favorite!). We arrived at the resort past 1PM and had our lunch. Food is in average of price, but the taste was so great! and I really love their turon for dessert, it's kinda unique.

On our third day, since we are about to check out 11am, we had our breakfast around 7:30 and decided to maximize what we've paid for. we use kayak after eating breakfast! its best to have kayak on morning. It is already 11 am, time for checking out, but we decided to have lunch on the restaurant before leaving.

Our stay at Puerto Del Sol gives us escape form stressful city life. I and my family will definitely come back this Christmas vacation. I highly recommend this resort for family outings, or even for corporate events! I was thinking, maybe we can have our company outing here. :)

God bless and more power to Puerto Del Sol!

The place was nice, bit it was ruined by the manager's sheer incompetence. The bedsheets were stained, and the power to our rooms were cut in the middle of the night . Not only did she not give us any compensation at all, she was unapologetic and very sarcastic about it.i hope the owner of the resort gets to read this. Please. Do yourselves a favor and fire this stupid excuse for a manager. Not only is she incompetent, she's arrogant, sarcastic, and a liar. You've got a great place, great amenities, and good food. Don't let this woman ruin your business.

We reserved a room for 7 pax through their Manila Office. Our account was handled by Ms. Rosalea Marasigan and we told her, through phone, that we have 1 senior citizen coming with us. She was not accommodating. It took her several days to send us a quote after talking to her on the phone. She said that a Casitas was available for us but then retracted the statement the next day since she overlooked our account and said that the Casitas was fully booked. That was okay since she said that they can offer the Mansion Suites for us (not even saying that it was located on the second floor -- more on that later). We paid the full amount. It took her several days again to email the booking confirmation after several phonecall attempts.

On check-in date, everything was going smoothly until we were accompanied to our room. We were HORRIFIED to see that it was on the second floor!!! We have an 82-yr old grandma with us and they put us into a FREAKING SECOND FLOOR!! We went back to the receptionists irritated. We demanded that we be transferred to a room on the ground floor because of my grandma. I asked them for a resolution. They could not do anything, as in anything. They were apparently not informed that we have a senior citizen with us. (another BLAH of their reservation staff, Lea Marasigan, she should have noted that). They offered a wheelchair for my grandma but then offered NO resolution as to how is she going to go up and down the stairs. We were beyond mad. We went to this trip so that my grandma can unwind and relax but the reservation staff and the receptionists ruined that. My grandma stayed mostly up in the room, only going down to eat in the restaurant. They offered my grandma a wheelchair but then she did not have time to appreciate the scenery or facilties because of the BLAH of the reservation staff.

We were transferred to the Casitas on the ground floor the next day which my grandma liked much better. But the previous day was just wasted. The service was not worth the price we paid for. Rooms are immaculately clean, though. The pool and jacuzzi, not so much.

If not for the manager of their restaurant who is as hardworking and as jolly as possible, the entire trip is a big disappointment. We appreciate the manager of the restaurant Mr. Gerry as he was so accommodating and manages to smile to every customer.

The overall experience was a nightmare. We were adamant on booking this resort because of the different reviews and this was the only resort that has available rooms. We went there last holy week and it was an unforgettable experience in a negative way. First it was so expensive and we thought that maybe it will live up to its price but NO! The SITIO AMORE was P13,345/night for 4 PERSONS although there were 4 queen sized beds (???????) so you can fit 8 persons but you have to add P1,300 PER PERSON PER NIGHT! Then the BAHAY KUBO was P7,245 for 3 persons. Yes it has 2 floors but the lower floor is open with a dining table and hammock and the CR is located there so you need to go down to use it. Once you're upstairs, you will feel how rickety it is with every step you make. They also give each of you baller id's so they will know if you paid or not. They will also check your bags because they prohibit bringing in of food and beverages so you have to order everything from their restaurant that does not serve a la carte food but buffet only (during the holy week) that is P495 per head. The breakfast is free but the buffet is only open from 7-9 am and when we arrived at 8am, some of the food containers were already empty and when we asked if there where refills on the way, they said that there's no more. The network signal is also weak. If you want to feel like you're always being watched and spoil your vacation then stay here.

Went on Pangasinan road trip and stayed in this resort for overnight. We have no reservation and the primary reason for choosing this resort is because of the 50% off discount on the rates we saw on the banners along the road. Upon walking in the security guard on duty directed us to the front desk. Since its a weekend the room that I want is not available they suggested us to stay in Kubo 19. The Kubo can only accommodate 3 people. Since we are 4 we paid extra person rate with breakfast for 1,300 pesos. The bed is King as per the them but its actually Queen only. The room is a bit old but spacious for 4 people despite the 2 extra mattress. The room is located on the second floor of the Kubo with veranda overlooking the beach. The first floor is open with tables and chairs with hammock. The bathroom is also located on the first floor which is difficult if you want to use in the middle of night since you have to go down. They only provided one key for the room as they have extra key to provide. They have one restaurant were we had our dinner. Take note if you want your dinner to be set up in room you have to tell me in advance since they have a cutoff. We tried their boodle fight the serving is good but the bagoong rice is really bad. Its not bagoong its actually dried shrimp (Hibe) in rice. It doesn't taste good and It took them 1 hour to prepare after the ordering. Breakfast starts at 7am to 9am. They have the an egg and pancake stations. The breads and ham is very ordinary. I was expecting that there will bangus but no. The local delicacies are not there. Overall I am very disappointed with the breakfast. The have 2 pools both has kiddie pools but I think the infinity pool is better than the main. There is lifeguard on duty but when I requested for beach towel it never reach me. Despite the follow up. The staff just ignore my request. They also have jacuzzi favourite of the guest and never get a chance to tried it.The beach front is very quiet. Patar beach is nice with not really white sand (mocha white) but the water is very clear. During my stay is low tide. Im not sure if this normal that I did not really get a chance to swim. Perfect for beach bumming after the long drive. They provide ballers to identify the guest. The security is very strict as they check you bags. They also have a parking area on the opposite road with security guard on duty 24/7. In the parking area they have driver quarters for 1,300 with breakfast. The room is shared for 4 with fan and bathroom. The security also close the beach gate at 10pm. I was very disappointed with the check out process. Before leaving the room I tired calling the front desk for assistants but the phone in the room has no dial tone. When I went down there was a staff cleaning the other room so I told him that we are for check out. Instead of helping us with our stuff he just went straight to room to check. Upon reaching the front desk there were 3 families checking out. It was check out time and I am very surprise that there is only one person handling everyone. I even asked the girl name Joan why she was alone. Her reply was “mag isa lang po talaga ako puwede pahintay nalanag po”. It was very rude! I spent 30 minutes waiting before they can finalized my check out and providing the OR which they refuse at first.

With the price you paid ofcouse you also wanted the best. There are a lot of improvements to be done in this resort. The management should invest for the training for customer service which is very important for a resort business. The food needs a lot of improvement. They have a relaxing ambiance but how you will go back if they failed in customer and food.
