This was our 5th visit. And our last
My wife and I tsyaed 12th and 13th of Dec . As usual the high price but I expect that as the grounds are in amazing shape and the staff is very good.

The problem I had this time is the construction workers at the function hall, which is located near the office.
As soon as we checked it they made a spectacle of glaring at my wife, even to come down from 2nd floor and poit at make rude comments. Cat calls. We had to walk past the construction area about 6 times during our visit and each and every time this happened. It was disgusting. On occasion my wife didt even want to go to the car and explore because we would have to walk past this area and she felt degraded as if these men have never seen a woman before. I mentioned it to the staff at front desk on one occasion...even turned around as they made rude comments and went direct to the office. The staff didnt make a word about it, just a nod and "hmm".

In my opinion when you spend 7k per night on a room in a very posh place you should expect the contractors there to be invisible to guest.

We will not be back, the resort itself is fine but to employ such disrespectful contractors with no courtesy to guest is pathetic.

You wont be getting anymore business from us and we will be making sure none of the foreigners i meet go there with thier famalies either.

Hi AgooBrian, thank you for bringing this to our attention. In behalf of upper management, we sincerely apologize for this isolated incident. We do not tolerate this kind of behavior in any way or form. Although they are contractors not connected to our organization, rest assured they will face appropriate disciplinary action after a thorough internal investigation. We hope this unfortunate mishap doesn’t discourage you from continually appreciating and supporting the natural beauty of Bolinao.

If you like being harassed while your having a vacation and being asked of your room number all the time, then this is the place for you.

To sum up the attitude of their staff and the whole vibe of this resort: THEIR MAIN CONCERN IS TO CHECK WHO AMONG THEIR GUESTS ARE BREAKING ANY OF THEIR POLICIES RATHER THAN WORRYING IF THER GUESTS ARE ACTUALLY HAVING A GREAT TIME AND ENJOYING THEIR STAY.

Believe me. NOT.WORTH.IT!

It took us about 7 hrs to reach Puerto del Sol Beach Resort, quite far but worth it! I've been to Pangasinan several times but I found peace and serenity only at Puerto del Sol. Being close to nature and several scenic spots such as the Wonderful cave, Patar Light House, Patar White Beach and my favorite Sea Cave as they call it. The resort has several rooms & different types of accommodation. We stayed in a mansion villa w/c can accommodate 4 persons. It has a complete room amenities and a nice verandah overlooking the beach and the hotel's swimming pool. The only complain I have is the poor internet connection inside the room, even our SUN pocket wifi doesn't work. I like the bathroom, it's spacious even w/o a bathtub. Noticeable in the resort is their adult & kiddie pool. Food is good too, at La Playa. Try their Bangus cordon bleu! Set up a romantic dinner for 2 at the beach. I highly recommend Puerto del Sol Beach Resort to rest, relax away from the busy city. By the way, the staff are friendly too!

On the website, they don't say that we are not allowed to bring outside food, our food got spoiled(what a waste of money). They don't allowed you to wear shorts and shirts to used the swimming pool. There's nine of us came to this place, they charged me for nine people to used the beach, plus $100.00 a night to stay overnight. It's one of the reason that never to comeback ever again to this place!!!!!! We stayed overnight planning to go to land tour, no service available. In our room the lock to the door is broken, they fix it using scoth tape, coffee machine is broken, faucet was nasty, it looks like nobody cleaned it forever. Service in the restaurant was horrible, you have to flag down server to get something, they don't come back and check up on you. We pionted a tourist who relieving himself on a shoreline and he said; it's ok because he was checking out. It's ridiculous answer coming from resort staff. The Wi-fi is ridicilous, very very poor, slow............they charge me $12.00 to used it for 6 hours and it's not even working in our room. You have to be inside the restaurant for the wi-fi to work and still very slow and inconvinient for the guest. We came all the way here from United States to enjoy the resorts, but what we have are all disappointments as soon as we get there. We spent a lot of money to see this resort and now I know it's not worth it! We will tell everyone, we know in the U.S.not to ever come here, it's a waste of money and time, disappointments, frustrations and headaches. We don't recommend this resorts to anyone!!!!! Don't come to Puerto Del Sol it's the "WORST RESORTS EVER"!!!!!!!!!!!!

stayed at the resort's mansion villa from oct.30-31,2011 with parents n 2 friends.at first was hesitant to push through with the booking because of some bad reviews. But surprisingly, from the moment we checked in up to check out, everything went on smoothly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Every request was immediately attended to.The whole place is nice and landscaped beautifully. Only complaint is the dinner served on the first night. Limited choices and quite pricey. Breakfast buffet is good, though also limited food choices. If your going to bolinao, make sure you go visit the enchanted cave, and the rock formation, which is an awesome sight especially in the late afternoon. You can see the waves crashing through the huge rocks . The scene is just so serene and peaceful, with the sunset background, very nice for photo-ops. I hugely recomment the resort and the whole bolinao town. Will definitely be back if have the chance.

I agree with one of the earlier reviews. The website is misleading. We decided to push thru with our trip even though there was a super typhoon up north and after 6hrs of driving in strong rains, you don't even get a simple greeting upon arrival. We were not assisted with our luggages. My husband had to get wet in the rain just to get to the lobby as they don't have any umbrellas anymore. Room ok but there was a stuffy smell. Bathroom was small, sink drain clogged, and floors puddled. Wifi may only be used for an hour. Other amenities except for the pool had hourly fees. Food is generally good but overcharged at an ave spend of 500 per person. Breakfast buffet at 350 not worth it. You don't even have a choice to order a la carte. Band at dinner time sucked. Also, my request for an additional mat never came. Saving grace was the great massage that was also pricey at 620. Final verdict: not a very pleasant experience.

The place has improved quite a lot since we were there last year. Service is at par with the five star hotels in Manila. Personnel are very friendly and courteous now and they greet all guests with a smile whenever and wherever you meet them. Food at the restaurant, too, has improved quite a lot. They are tastier and they have bigger servings now.
The place is very beautiful with many varieties of lovely local flowers which were in full bloom when we were there. I commend the security for hotel guests --- you never have to worry about your safety inside the hotel premises and out in the beach area.
I'm definitely going back there again and again!!!

i have traveled around the world and this place is the most expensive and not worth visiting. The manager keeps yelling at the front desk and would not speak to me face to face. The resort was dead when we check in, I paid for one week for 2 rooms and ended our stay after 3 days. The manager/owner needs to attend customer service class 101, she has no manners what so ever. There are plenty of place around to stay, avoid this place.

We did not have any guest who booked for 1 week straight in the month of May. It is also more than likely that this is just one of your multiple fabricated reviews against Puerto Del Sol. We will report this fraudulent review to Trip Advisor and seek legal action.

Puerto del Sol was first in our options for resorts to book for just an overnight stay because we were with our American and Canadian clients and we wanted to take them some place nice. In pictures, the resort looks impressive, with its manicured gardens and landscaped pools, but oh my god, the staff could use a PR make over! 1)when our van pulled up at their gate, the guard 'greeted' us with a curt, unsmiling "do you have a reservation?" like we were crashing on some exclusive party or something. 2)We just came from a 5-hour drive from Clark, and we were tired and wanted to see the room we had called in for the day before and upon getting to the front desk/ check-in area, the two women behind the counter were also very curt and unaccommodating, and instead of being welcomed as guests, we felt like we were this big nuisance to their otherwise fully-booked weekend. The one room they had available was this cramped dormitory room with double deck beds that didn't have space for you to put your things in. 3) We asked for water while waiting for word about the room, and one of the girls behind the front desk radioed someone, but no water ever came. Bottomline, TERRIBLE first impression. You can't pay me to stay in that place with their uncaring and arrogant front desk people. We left and stayed at Punta Riviera instead, where the staff was a lot nicer.

We stayed there to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Despite a 50% summer discount it was still very expensive. all surrounding hotels are far cheaper. so therefore we expected a nice hotel. Once we entered we liked the garden and once we got to the room we thought to ourselves that with this price they must have great service or awesome food.
Well we were wrong...

the service simply sucked. Upon Check in the clerk at the desks were too shy to talk to us because we are foreign and they did not want to speak english. Then once finally got their head arround to talk to us the were not paying attention to questions and simply being rude. We noticed then that our room was dirty, there was black hair on the bedsheets, in the Shower area was hair that resembled pubic hair.

The TV has only 4 Channels! Aircon was dirty and loud! In the Bathroom it smelled as if somebody had taken a dump on the floor (something in their piping must have been wrong). The Pools are not maintained well. I have my own pool, and i noticed they are just adding tons of chlorine to the water, my childrens eyes were red as if they had eye infections. The water was really cloudy and nasty. In the infinity pool algea was growing on the tiles...

And once you get to the restaurant you will be in for a big suprise.
First of all the food is grossly overpriced for what you get. All of our food was served lukewarm to cold. Also it just tasted bland. It was as if the chef never actually tasted his own food. First i thought it's because i used to be a pro chef in a hotel myself, so i have some expectations but then i got really upset when certain dishes that were described in the menu did not arrive as promised. For example: i ordered lumpia with a HOMEMADE DIP. I never received a dip, once i went to the staff to ask for the dip, they first ignored me, and once i bumped into the restaurant manager he sent one of his boys with ketchup to me trying to convince me this was the homemade dip.
I do not wann ago into all the details of all my other experiences with the kitchen but they simply are amateur. for that price the should do way more.

I told the supervisor that i am upset. No reaction- well 2 hours later at arround 9:00 pm a guy knocks on our door serving us a fruit platter because they noticed we are not satisfied with the service. so that was nice. but still not enough to make everything right.
Also they claim to bring you complimentary water to the room at 7:00 and 7:00 pm... no one ever brought us any water, nor replacement shampoos etc. also our phone did not work, so we could not call anybody..

i really DO NOT Recommend this hotel!!!
