If the hotel owner and staff worked hard it might become a piece of crap place to stay, as it is now it looks abandoned with trash thrown around, dirty disgusting pool and death traps they call bridges which crack and fall apart while you walk over them. And to make matters worse they request you sign a waiver if you get hurt or die using their facilities they are nit to blame! No amenities at all, not even water. I did not try what they call a restaurant (Blue Mikey) as I don't want to die today... disgusting and filthy is really too nice words to use. Beach is a polluted joke of a beach and one you can't walk on or swim in. So much standing polluted water the mosquitoes are out in force! How Trip Adviser and Expedia recommend this as Top Ten is a crime! And they need to review again. I will contact my credit card company to request refund!

AVOID THIS RESORT AT ALL COST: 1. For their rate, they don't even provide tissue paper which is BARE MINIMUM. They'll just provide you with super small soap. The comfort room which is located at the ground floor is too uncomfortable to use because you will be very visible from the second floor because of the bamboo flooring. 2. THE RESORT IS NOT SUITABLE FOR KIDS/SENIOR CITIZENS/INJURED AND PREGNANT WOMEN The pathways (some parts are made of bamboo as well) are too dangerous and shabby to walk on because they were too old already. SHARP stones are also all around. The stairs of the huts are also too dangerous and starining for people with knee problems. 3. DIRTY SEASHORE For a resort who claim that they are eco oriented, they're doing a very lousy job at taking care of their shoreline. Garbage are everywhere even on the water! We spend 3 days there and not even once did we see them clean their sorrounding. The shore is also full of dead weeds you'll not want to swim in it. 4. UNACCOMMODATING PERSONNELS THIS. Once you checked in, you'll have to fend for yourself. No one will check up on you even. When we asked for our final bill, they told us they'll bring it to our hut bit they never did, we have to go to the information again and follow up. They were not also that courteous so if you have something to ask about the items on your tab, you'll get a hostile attitude. 5. EVERYTHIMG STARTS AT 8AM! If you're hungry at 6am or when you plan to have an early breakfast because you have medicines to take, better order outside or buy food in advance before you go back to your cabins otherwise, you'll die of hunger because the people there doesn't come at work before 8AM. All checking out guests are entitled to a FREE RIDE to bus stations or in the centro. But since we cannot wait to get out of there we decided to check out at 7am. The previous night we settled our bill and asked the staff about the ride. I even asked the staff to give me the phone number of the owner so I could talk to him because my friend happened to have a knee injury she shouldn't be walking that far. They never gave me the number, they simply ignored my request. WE WERE TOLD THAT THEY CANNOT PROVIDE IT FOR US BECAUSE THE DRIVER AND EVERYONE COMES AT WORK AROUND 8AM. THEY LET US WALK ALL THE WAY TO THE HIGHWAY WHICH IS VERY FAR! 6. The cover of beanbags are DIRTY. EVEN THE PILLOWS AND BLANKETS ARE SMELLY. 7. Every hut doesn't have a room with a secured lock for the safety of your belongings . Considering that personnels leave the resort at night and comes back at 8AM the following day, everyone could sneak in without anyone knowing. On the third floor of our hut where the sleeping room supposed to be at, they simply put a blacket as a curtain on the door, nothing more. 8. ANIMAL POOP EVERYWHERE. We even walked on a pathway going down to the beach with a lot of rotten fruits fallen from the tree and they don't clean it. 8. The price of a small mug of coffee will cost you P120. Coffee or any drink is not included in your free breakfast. 9. That being said, don't expect a delicious breakfast. They are crappy. 10. SWIMMING POOLS ARE FILTHY. 11. THE BAR/RESTAURANT IN THE ENTRACE IS TOO DIM AND SMELLS LIKE DAMP WEED. Not good for people with allergies. 12. THEY DON'T ALSO PROVIDE COMPLEMENTARY WATER They only give service water to guests. I tried their water and I had an upset stomach so I have to asked them to huy bottled water for me, with an extra cost of course. 13. UNSANITARY. They don't clean the dishes right away. Me and my friend are the only guests they had for 3 days so we know that the staff are not that busy. The dishes we left in the morning after breakfast are still in the same exact spot when we came back in the efternoon. 14. ALL THE PHOTOS THAT YOU'LL SEE ON THE INTERNET ARE ALL HOAX. THOSE ARE TAKEN WHEN THE RESORT IS STILL NEW. THE RESORT HAS PAST IT'S PRIME SINCE THEN.

Place is being renovated. Unfortunately, the room we had [Ella Fitzgerald] is a bit worn down. Only a small soap is included in their offered toiletries which I think is a bit unreasonable for the room price. I understand the theme they are trying to pull, like ocean/nature-life, since most of their structures were made of wood and bamboo, but when you have a gaping peeping space on your main door where the lock is, doesn’t feel that safe or feels like the privacy is compromised. Their beach area is full of dead seagrass, which makes it awkward to walk on the beach or go into the water. But their staff compensated. They are very friendly and accommodating and the food is great! Right for the price. The best for me in this place is they are pet-friendly.

I was visiting friends in the Philippines and we visited north Philippines and went to Bolinao for sightseeing and stay in this resort. The forest landscape remind me of Ubud in Bali but located on the beach like Seminyak so best of two worlds. We really enjoy the Kubo near the ocean which is same word for small house in Indonesia. The food was very delicious.

My kids enjoyed the kiddie pool and collecting all sorts of sea creatures which of course they returned to the ocean. They bragged about their neemo fish discovery and the giant clams in front of the resort. The salt water pool worth checking out.

Totally love the place since it's so serene and relaxing. We missed their yoga sessions since their yoga teacher went back to Manila after the lockdowns. This is a perfect place for those looking for a nice quiet getaway in a beach forest kinda surrounding. Nice shallow white beach right on front for safe swimming. We availed the kayak to tour around. Definitely worth coming back. Check out their forest pool too. Open all night.

I come here quite often to work remotely since the resort internet is just as fast as my office in the city. I rent the hut by the ocean and you won't need any air conditioning in this place. Nice friendly dogs to keep me company in my Kubo at night. Room comes with a nice early breakfast.

It's been a few years since before pandemic that we returned. Glad it still has that quiet and chill vibe. We like the new pathways that makes it easier to get around. It was a nice weekend staycation. Make sure you stay a few nights. We also visited Bolinao falls 1 which the manager said is now owned by Birdland.

False advertising. We stayed last weekend and we are still talking about it now, talk about leaving a mark... not in a good way. We had a couple of issues with this resort and I'll enumerate: 1. We were told we are going to stay at the 5 stories Bolifugao Premier. When we arrived, we wore told that the room was taken down since it collapsed. Had they mentioned this before we never would have pushed thru with the reservation. Granted the initial booking was pre-pandemic, but we were told as late as 1 week ago that the room is still available. The staff told us that they are trying to "clean up" all the reservations, so perhaps that's the reason why they were not upfront about the room availability. 2. The air-conditioning is too weak to cover the large room (Stonesomething) they had to put it high powered electric fans and even that is not enough. Also, the TV is not working, the staff said they don't have a signal. 3. Mice, cockroaches, and mosquitoes. We left our food at the table and when we woke up there were mice droppings on it, the bed also had some mice droppings and we also found a roach egg under the pillow. One of our friends got bit by a roach also while sleeping and we had to hunt down the roach as big as my thumb. 4. The pools are a bit filthy. Grime and "lumot" can be found in the main pool, it's too slippery also and just plain walking can be a challenge when ur inside the pool. 5. The staff told us that the Cafe Bar was open 24hrs, but around 5am there's no one manning the bar and no personnel can be found. I personally had to go through the kitchen and refill our jug of water. *If I wanted to steal something, I could have since THERES NO ONE AROUND. 6. I don't see myself bringing small kids here since the rocks are very sharp and they are all over the place. The pathways are also very unstable and any small kids or ever senior citizens would have a hard time navigating around the resort. 7. They advertise different "bamboo" oriented vehicles to ride but all of those are either broken or full of rust already, nothing is functional (carriage, jeepney, tricycle). 8. They offered us one of the large rooms, and they gave us the "extended weekends rate" we did NOT stay during the extended weekends, we came from work on a Friday and went to work on Monday. This is a classic example of the "let's chalk this to experience" type of situation. We would have left and not stayed, but they told us that the deposit could not be refunded already, thus we were forced to stay 1 night.

False advertising at its finest! Do not waste your money on this dump. The place is dirty, the most basic of facilities aren’t working, eg flush, aircon, TV, and the food is nowhere close to healthy! I paid for land and water activities that the resort could not even give - and to this day, I am waiting for Michael Parayno to respond to my emails for a refund!
