I suppose you get what you pay for but in comparison to the other Ibis hotels, inc budget, I’ve stayed in this is below par. In the room the bed was thin & uncomfortable, the window was screwed shut, toilet was like an echo chamber so not great for sharing! The breakfast is continental style. We went down to eat at 9am and the drinks machine was on auto clean so we waited 10mins for drinks. The food started disappearing back into the kitchen, lids put back on, cooler emptied so we had to rush to grab things while we could. Saying that, the staff on reception were cheery & helpful, the whole hotel was immaculately clean. The location is good as there is a tram/bus stop outside direct to town & the airport, very easy to use.
We spent 3 nights in the hotel. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm. The location is excellent with transport directly outside. Acceas to the city centre is very easy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a great stay.
Staff very friendly. Location just outside a tram and bus line. Got it into city centre in 10 to 15 minutes. And hotel gives you free travel card for publix transport. Hotel was very clean. And most importantly for the money we paid its cheap for being in Geneva. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Excellent value, really helpful staff and caring. Hotel clean, well placed with bus and tram very close. Very satisfying breakfast. The map for transportation is a real plus appreciable. The bar open late at night is a plus for late return. Only downside, mattresses a bit hard for me.
The hotel was near the bus and tram station to go to the main tourist centers. The restaurant's service was excellent, all the food was healthy and good taste When I needed help in Spanish always found someone than speak Spanish.
I think the location is excellent with access by tram and buses to the City Center. The rooms were very well maintained and overall services were very good.. The surroundings were quiet and green. It is a good place to stay.
Unfortunately this was a "never again" experience - cold, unheated rooms in winter time. Secondly you hear every word which is spoken above, below or beside. Thus very loud for a very high price of 234,50 CHF per night during trade show! I cannot be recommended for business travels if you are looking for a sleep. Everything is made out of plastic.
Having stayed in ibis budget hotels in other parts of the world, there weren't any big surprises from the overall room layout, availability of amenities etc. What really stood out for me was the location of the hotel with easy accessibility to the tram station and buses which made getting to the city center super easy. Also, the free transportation card that the hotel gave was golden! The breakfast buffet was really good and filling. There is free wifi and bunk beds (which kids might find quite amusing!) Overall a decent stay!
I would give it a go for its location, very conveniently located on a tramline straight to the city center of Genève, as well for the price we have paid for 80 CHF/night including breakfast that was basic but alright. The ibis Budget chain in Switzerland is except Lausanne relatively alright, and that’s what I thought about staying here as well. I like the fact that they give a free transportation card that was very convient to go around the old town of Geneve. For the rest I would smash it when I am looking for a budget chain, because when the price is low its really good for expensive Geneve. In the area of Lancy there is absolutely nothing to do; but if you just looking for a place to keep your head down with a alright lobby why not.
I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. Good things are - staffs are nice, had a sound sleep, and easy to commute. Only the downsides are - bit congested washroom, extra bed on top of the bed made me feel uneasy, and can't control room temperature by myself. Besides few downsides, hotel is safe and homely.
