Detailed Reviews
It is difficult to resume in short words the wonderful experience we had at Lyngen Lodge, a fine small luxury adventure lodge within a breathtaking Fiord location! The staff were at all times very friendly, discrete and well skilled in their fields of service. The chef and his team prepared some of the best gourmet meals we have had in a long time. Simply delicious. They were well balanced and creatively prepared with much dedication and profesional love, you can feel and taste it. The owners, Graham, Veronica and their lovely and smart son Finnly were exceptionally nice and interesting persons, and warm hosts. They made you feel as been part of their family. The tours were well organized and we could hike and navigate with their Yacht to see some beautiful places, mountains, waterfalls, and villages. The rooms and bathrooms were small, clean but comfortable. The spacious dinning an living room areas where designed with great taste in a fine and causy Nordic style. Since we shared the same large dinning table with other gusts we meet some very interesting people of all parts of the world that lead to some friendly and very interesting talks and experiences sharing. The Lodge and gardens are very well maintained and the views from the the Lodge are just magnificent and internal peace inspiring, it definitely shows the best of the incredible natural beauty of Norway! We are planning to go next year again with all our family to see the Northern lights ( Aurora Borealis) since apparently this is one of the best places in the world to see them, and do some dog slatting as well. Thank you Lyngen Lodge for this wonderful experience, and a especial big hug to Finnly ! We highly recommend this Lodge!

Lyngen Lodge is an experience, you get immersed into the Arctic and what it has to offer. You are encouraged to listen to the sound of silence, feel the immensity of nature and, we were lucky, experience aurora borealis making you feel small yet at peace and one with the world. Graham and Veronika and their team go out of their way to make your stay more than worthwhile. Veronika runs the lodge with an eye for detail that makes you feel at home - open fire, different tea lights, napkins and candles each evening, beautiful food and smiling staff that are always happy to provide you with anything you need. Graham and his team take you out on different adventures, depending on the weather conditions, for us this was dogsledding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snow mobile driving, ice fishing, and in between lunch outside around a camp fire on top of the mountain, or in a cosy hut explaining the flora and fauna of the region. Coming back to the lodge you exchange your adventures with the other guests in the comfortable sitting room and during dinner at the long table. We loved our stay and will return.

I am out of superlatives to describe my wonderful recent experience at Lyngen Lodge.
From the courteous driver who transported me from my hotel in Tromso to the final wave goodbye from Graham and Veronika, the most charming hosts I have ever had the pleasure to meet, this entire holiday rates as one of the best ever.
The Lodge is a lesson in how every 5 star hotel should be run and were it possible to clone Graham and Veronika, every five star hotel could have this magic.
The rooms are absolute charm, the food imaginative and delicious, the activities are totally inclusive with every age group admirably catered for by highly experienced and knowledgeable personnel.
Naturally most people are excited to see the Northern Lights and we had two occasions to see this amazing kaleidoscope in the sky. All available information as to the very best place to see the lights leads to the Lyngen Fjiord.
We didn’t even have to move from the terrace! The staff in the lodge keep their eyes open and we all keep cameras ready at the dinner table to go out when the call comes! How fabulous is that! Graham is a talented photographer himself and will always help you get the very best photos.
As I said earlier I have run out of superlatives so suffice to say please don’t ever change as perfection is as good as it’s possible to get.

We did have fun! And many thanks for sharing your experience her on this platform. We are flattered by your comments and happy that you felt comfortable and well taken care of during your stay with us. Our only hope is that you will return for another experience, perhaps during the late summer months into autumn to experience the Aurora again and the turning of the autumn colours. Many thanks again and best wishes from all the team at Lyngen Lodge!

The Lyngen Lodge offers total package of activities in northern Norway. The activiteis are great, and the surrounding where you do them are just spectaculair. Not the tourist area, where another bus of tourists pops up.....only the small group (8 in our case) of the Lyngen Lodge.
The Lodge itself offers all the comfort you want, seperate area's make sure you can relax in the way you want. 2 Sauna's and a jacuzzi make sure you can relax after a nice day in the cold.
The activities where adjusted so our kids (9 and 7) could join, they just had an amazing time.
All the food is freshly made, and every diner was a celebration.
Our main goal was to see the northern-light! First night we got a small teaser, the second night was already better. But on our last night in the lodge we got the full show! Strong northern-light, moving al over the skies......
Elisabeth, Graham, Veronika and their staff understand what people want in a luxery lodge. We felt safe and at home.....a special holiday to remember.

Top star experience from the minute we arrived to the end. I felt as part of the family, and you went out of your way to accommodate us. The charming and luxurious cottage, the tasty and delicious food, the location, stunning views, boat trip and the skiing - all so great! And your hospitality, comforting us on the tours and your way of treating us made me feel so special and welcomed. On returning home we were planning when we could go back. I will strongly recommend you to everyone that considers a wide range of activities with perfect conditions in every way.
Thank you so much for giving me the time of my life!

This lovely remote lodge situated in the Lyngen Alps, in Northern Norway, was extraordinary. The setting was absolutely gorgeous, the food beautiful and delicious, and the staff and owners so friendly and helpful. The only downside were the very small, but very cute bedrooms. It was a wonderful place to experience the Northern Lights. One minute you’re eating a sumptuous meal and the next you’re rushing outside to view the lights. Again, it was an extraordinary place and experience. If you get the chance, go, go, go.

I stayed at the Lodge over New Year 2021, spending my last day of 2021 and first day of 2022 there. I cannot recommend enough and look forward to going back in the summer for a completely different perspective.
The lodge is based around communal living, with cosy rooms but large and luxe communal areas. You eat with other guests around the same table, which was great! The food was amazing (we had four! meals a day!)
Every member of staff, including the owners, were so hospitable and made every effort to make all feel comfortable and welcome.
The activities were great: snow mobiling, husky dog sledding, snow shoeing etc. The northern lights on the last day though were spectacular.

We had an exquisite week at the lodge. Every detail is somebody's focus, and everything that matters has been thoughtfully curated. Each member of the team is a master of their craft, and they go far beyond expectations to make the experience special. This is among the most beautiful places on earth, and the lodge adventures allow one to be fully immersed in the surrounding beauty. We alpine ski toured, dogsledded, ice-fished, cold-plunged and gazed at the northern lights. Any one of these things would have made a single trip great, but we enjoyed them all. Many thanks to the Lyngen Team. We'll be back before too long.

Everything was amazing. I didn’t want to leave and I will certainly come back.
The owner and staff are SO SO friendly and helpful. The lodge is beautiful, beds are comfortable and the sauna in trees was dreamy. The food and wine selection was very high quality. They take such care and attention for the guests on the organised tours making sure we get the best experience. We saw lots of whales and orcas and we were even blessed with some northern lights when the clouds cleared.

On the way back from Nordkapp to Kuopio (Finland), we spent one night at this beautiful place. Everything was simply amazing. Luckily (for us) we was the only tourists there, so we had the whole property only for us, but still with perfect services offered by the owner.
We enjoyed the outdoor jacuzzi, then we had a very comfortable sleep. Next morning an amazing breakfast followed again by the hot jacuzzi.
Lyngen Lodge is simply stunning. Highly recommended !!!

Hello, the airport is called Sorkjøsen SOJ code. It operates two flights a day out of Tromsø. If you wish to visit during the winter we recommend flying to Tromsø and taking a transfer arranged by the lodge. During winter the winter months December to February the flights can experience cancellations due to adverse weather. Many thanks
Yes, they have a laundry service
We booked through an agent but I don't think they would ignore you, I have emailed them before and it has been a couple of days before I get a reply.
You could always phone them, have a look at there website.
If you do go to the lodge you won't be disappointed
