Detailed Reviews
This particular property is located at a distance from the Luzern main city area and the Luzern Station. It takes 10 - 15 minutes drive to reach the hotel from Luzern Station and located in an area where you have nothing much. But no complains for that considering the price you pay, the rooms available and the helpful staff. The nearest train station (Mattenhof) takes you about 7 - 10 minutes walk from the hotel and a short ride takes you to Luzern Station. There is a bus stop in about couple of minutes walk from the hotel from where you can reach the cable car Station for the trip to Mt. Pilatus in about 10 minutes.
The hotel is just like any other Accor Hotel Ibis property. The check in is smooth and rooms are comfortable with almost everything you can expect from an Accor Ibis category hotel. Some of the rooms do have the wonderful view of the hills while ours were facing the road. The USP of this hotel is their staff, always ready to help with a smile. The wifi was complementary and the speed was decent. An electric kettle is available at a deposit from the reception.
There are number of restaurants just adjacent to the hotel and a McDonald in 5 minutes walk. Breakfast served is decent enough and with sufficient offerings for everyone. At the price offered I would recommend this property.
The only downsize is the location. If you opt for the hotel you are actually at a distance from the many Luzern city area which includes the Chappel Bridge, Luzern Lake from where you get multiple scenic rides, the Lion Monument and the Luzern Station. To reach the City area you have to either take a train from Mattenhof station or a bus or costly taxi ride. Once you reach the Luzern Station, you can cover everything by walk. There is a tourist office in Luzern Station from where you can book the usual tours.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, clean and the shower room a decent size too. Grateful to have hand towels as well as bath towels (some Ibis of this grade provide only bath towels). Most welcome was the small fridge and the kettle. So lovely to be able to make a hot drink whenever we wanted. Plus of course the superb view of the mountains.
We had a warm welcome at reception. Svetlana was able to explain was was available locally, gave us a map and the Luzern visitor cards which gave free use of trains and buses within Luzern (zone 10).
We used Kriens Mattenhof station to the centre of Luzern, but the 14 bus is another option. The trains are frequent and the journey only takes 4 minutes. The area around the Mattenhof station is under redevelopment, so it was good to be sufficiently distant for noise from building works not to be an issue (a short walk). There are shops, cafes and restaurants in this area. We liked Jack's Cevap house for casual dining. The Migros supermarket is great for picking up milk and other provisions, but note they don't sell alcohol (there is an Aldi store in the area).
The hotel is on the edge of a commercial zone and an established residential one; we looked over family homes. We found it to be quiet and were pleased we'd chosen this for our three-night stay.

The hotel is located away from the centre next to a residential area. There is paid parking in an underground car park which gives you access to the hotel reception area - just remember to get your ticket when you check out. The rooms were comfortable with plenty of space and we had a lovely view of the mountains. The amenities are all here and the breakfast was nice. The staff were welcoming and friendly. However, it does appear expensive compared to other Ibis hotels which is why I have given it just 3 stars overall.

Made a last minute reservation while traveling through Switzerland because it was right off of the highway and seemed easy to reach. Booked a three person room for two adults and a small child. When we arrived, we asked about parking and they said, it's underground and explained how to get there. There was no mention that it cost anything or furthermore that they charged by the hour! We only found this out in the morning upon check out - and the parking in an empty basement garage (shared with the media mart) turned out to be 13 €. The morning guy explained "everyone charges for parking now." Uh no dude, not at office parks located off the autobahn. And not when you don't tell people ahead of time.
As for the room. The hotel is in an office park, so I wasn't expecting a view or anything special. What I was expecting (in 2021) were electrical outlets - maybe even a USB port or two - basically enough that I could charge two cell phones and a power pack and enough towels that three people could shower and wash their hands. What I found was not that. We had two towels, no hand towels, no bath mat (and unreliably hot water) and ONE electrical plug that was no where near the bed. Look, it's an Ibis, right? But it wasn't the lowest level Ibis, is it too much to expect the ability to charge a cell phone? I guess so. Good side: it appeared clean.

Close to the highway entrance/exit and even closer to public transportation connections, which is free for the days of stay.
The hotel shows its age, it is not exactly new and it shows. The rooms and common areas are austere and the bathrooms are tiny. The rooms, in addition, are not prepared for heat and, at night, they are an oven (with a fan that offers little help).
The parking, paid at a reasonable price for Switzerland, is not convenient as you have to park quite far from the door and because of the obstacles installed (has no one thought that people arrive and leave carrying suitcases? so that they do not park in the employee area.
The breakfast was good for a Central European country but mediocre for a French hotel.

The hotel is located in a commercial center, slightly away from the main road. There is a large underground parking with direct access to the reception, not to the rooms.
The room was modern, clean and of a decent size for and overnight stay. The bathroom is separated, which is always appreciated for privacy. The bed was comfortable.
The access to Lucerne center is easy and free with the included travel card for the stay. You just need a 10min walk to the local train station, 2 stops away from the center.
Only let down was the breakfast buffet, which we found less appealing than the previous ibis - budget - in Zurich airport. Overall it is good, though a little less abondant and variety than expected.
It feels more like a business hotel, and it was not too far to the Pilatus cable car station.

I picked this hotel after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and its proximity to the train station Kriens Mattenhof which is at 10 minutes walking distance. It is just a stop away from Luzern. The hotel was neat, safe for a solo female traveller. Good wi-fi connection. They will charge something called the city tax when you check in. They gave me a local travel card which was valid on local transport. I visited Mount Pilatus from here which is not very far off. Just take a bus, not the train if you wish to visit Mount Pilatus while at Kriens. I made this mistake and wasted an hour waiting for the next bus. The hotel breakfast spread is good, not too much variety, but filling. The staff was generally friendly and helpful. I wrote to them before traveling there to know the best way to get there and I received prompt response on email. The room has a portable fan which was really helpful during summer time. There are a good number of budget food options around like McDonalds, Subway, Migros supermarket, etc. Overall, good experience. Will definitely recommend it.

The room was clean and tidy.
No AC just a fan so if you travel in the summer time, AVOID AT ALL COST!
The breakfast is 19 CFR which is very expensive considering it was unreasonably poor with no or very little choice of breads and cheese/ham. The waffles and pancakes were dry and cold. The coffee was actually not very bad. The juice stale and bitter.

+1
Ended up here unexpectedly due to a breakdown with the camper bus at the Lucerne roundabout, we were 2.5 km from our final destination. I understand why you don't see any Dutch people here, we had the cheapest room at 200 euros without breakfast. Free train travel through the hotel, they were certainly friendly 🤗 luckily we had a nice, rich experience.

We had already had the opportunity to stop at this address on the way to Italy. Recently second visit to this hotel located away from the city center of Luzern but very close to the motorways. Nice view from the hotel room but the immediate environment is made up of office buildings, collective housing and a few shops. Parking (from the Media Market) under the hotel charged €13 per night and payable at the hotel. Direct access to the hotel from the car park. Check in provided by Gazi, smiling and professional, but no one at the hotel knows how to speak French. We enjoyed a beautiful, large room with large windows (n° 315). A fridge in the room but too bad the hotel does not communicate its presence. Comfortable bedding. Fast and decent WIFI. Safe but complicated to use. Exterior blackout curtains. Flat screen TV with several French channels (TF1, France 2...). A jug of Brita water in the room. Fan in room since the hotel does not have air conditioning. We had dinner at the steakhouse near the hotel (Kounimatt). A practical and comfortable address.
