Incredible hotel. When I first booked it, I was concerned this hotel may be too far from Lucern city center. Not to worry. Convenient transportation takes care of it. Bus #14 in front of the hotel goes to the main train station. Then there is the train S4 and S5 a block from the hotel, take you to train station - platform 14.
The free breakfast is so nice. Hard boiled eggs is our favorite. Fresh fruits include apples, kiwi, and oranges.
The room is good sized. The hotel is very new. Everything just feel so nice.
The front desk staff is extremely helpful. Being Swiss, they have to speak multiple languages - English, German, French, and maybe Italian. We're English speaking and we have had no problems at all.
The location is particularly close to Mount Pilatus. We see the mountain right in our room. Bus #16 takes you there in 10 minutes.
There is a convenient store 'Migrolino' 2 minutes on foot. We didn't use much.
We will definitely recommend this hotel.

Very small, but clean, new and modern room. Breakfast was pretty sad. Cold cuts and cereal. Not even scrambled eggs.
The room had a double size bed, a lounge chair, a small table, ironing board, and an iron.
The bathroom featured the typical European open shower that gets water all over the floor. There was the refillable 2-in1 shampoo/body wash. Another of the same bottle is located above the sink as hand soap.
The hotel is in a great location. Right across the street from McDonald's, Subway, an Asian restaurant, and more. Less than the 2 minutes to the bus/train station which is only 2 stops away from downtown Lucerne. And the hotel gave us a pass for rail/bus for free! We left our car at the nice parking garage across the street.
I wouldn't stay for more than one night since it was so small, but it did the trick and the price was right.

We stayed only one night in a room with two single beds.
Our desk agent, Olga, was friendly and informative. We received a free map and free public transport tickets.
The room was small, clean and soundproof. The bathroom was functional. The two single beds were only 90 cm wide, which I found not 100% comfortable. There is not much storage for clothes, the room had a small table but no desk. Electrical outlets were Swiss type and did not take large EU plugs. The reception has adaptors. All in all nothing to complain about for a short term stay.
Breakfast was simple but sufficient. Bread, cheese, meats, youghurt and fresh fruit.
Location was fine: near a supermarket, restaurants, and the train station.<

We stayed here for 2 nights. The room was very nice with awesome blockouts. Walls are a bit thin, as we could hear the guests next door. Alina, the lady at reception was sooooo nice. Giving us advice on how to spend our days there etc. Explained where what is and how the travel pass works. The travel passes provided by the hotel are awesome and makes sightseeing a pleasure, especially in cold weather. We were lucky to be here while the light festival was on and enjoyed that as well. The breakfast is a bit skimpy... Just scrambled and boiled eggs for example. But enough to last you until an early lunch. Great service, especially by reception staff.

Stayed with my family for one night in an family room. Very big, modern and clean bedroom`s. We been 5 people and its perfect for it. As the holiday inn standard it is an modern hotel. The breakfast area is quite small and i can imagine to peak times they are struggling to supply all guests in an rush. Unfortunately we been almost alone and so no issue at all. I do not agree on the high parking cost of 20.- sfr per night. As an Hotel guest i would recommend to reduce this price.

If you’re looking for a miniscule room out of town in Luzern with horrendous service you’re in the right place. NEVER, EVER AGAIN. It’s impressive that our one night stay turned us off not only this hotel but ever staying with IHG again. It’s the perfect example of everything that is wrong with a corporate hotel chain – rude, unhelpful, unresponsive, opaque, and constantly hiding behind inflexible corporate “policy”. It says everything about the group that they have an international 24/7 phone line ready to take your booking, but good luck if you ever have a problem and need to call and speak to someone in the building for help. We booked two rooms for our family of five, and in our rush to leave inadvertently left a dress behind. For three days no one picked up the phone at the hotel – sure, we could get through to the bookings team in the Carribean, but even they couldn’t get through to the actual hotel itself. When they got around to responding to an email in 48hours (which they were at pains to insist was “policy”) there wasn’t so much as an apology in sight. What unfolded over three weeks, 22 emails, eventually a phone call with an assistant manager (the hotel manager would not speak to a customer apparently nor post lost belongings, because “policy”), setting up my own DHL account, arranging my own pick-up and an eye-watering 180 swiss francs later I received the dress scrunched in a ball in an actual garbage bag. My God. Do these jokers think this competes with even Booking.com or AirBnB? They aren’t even in the same league. Even Booking.com actually has a customer service phone number and you can speak to someone, and the gracious and personal service you get from AirBnB hosts leaves this lot for dust.

Been there (family of 4) for a couple of nights, starting from the Christmas eve. No issues at all. The receptionists were very friendly and willing to help with any questions a traveler may have, they had (and may still have) an agreement with the closed garage just across the road that reduces the cost of parking your car siginficantly.
The location is just great. Easy to get out of Luzern if you drive a car (there is a petrol station just across the road), if you don't have a car there is the rail which is just a couple of minutes away on foot. They also gave us a paper that would allow us to use all public transport means for free within the area of Luzern.
The rooms were exactly what someone would expect from a Holiday Inn express hotel. Just great for our needs.

We stayed here for 4 nights and booked 2 rooms and no complaints. The location is very near to the Kriens mattenhof station (2min walk) which has trains to Lucerne main station almost every 10 minutes. There is supermarket, subway sandwich and Mc Donalds right next to the hotel. The rooms are great and comfortable and you can get mountain view too The breakfast spread is great. Overall a very nice, clean hotel in a very peaceful location.
