The hotel is now with a new owner and management. Just newly renovated in a very nice style. The location is perfect with a beautiful sea view. Amazing is the restaurant, not cheap, however worth the value! Service always very friendly and you feel the willingness to make the best out of your stay. There are still small things which work not perfect, as they started not too long ago. Internet needs urgent improvement as this is not stabil at all - they know and working on it. This hotel could easily develop in something bigger, the concept is convincing and how they are managing it is just great. Good luck!

The hotel sticks out like a big thumb, half way up the mountain and boasts breathtaking views. The family room we had was very specious, in reality two rooms with two bathrooms, sitting area and comfortable bedding. There are clear signs of faux-luxury refurbishment, with already signs of wear tear and some questionable decisions; double bed in the corner allowing only one side to exit in any gracious fashion. However a good sleep was head by all. The main issue is however the restaurant. The dinning room, which was not spared the questionable faux-luxury, of silver, mirrors and drapes, married this up with a laminated one page dinner menu. Featuring some pixalted photos around the three entree, three pasta, and three main options. The food as one would expect lacked quality ingredients and executions it did however remember to slap on good Swiss prices. We decided to skip the breakfast. The service was nice and attentive as we were one of two tables in the restaurant. Unsure what would happen on a busier night although with food like this perhaps this is as busy as it gets. Fully renovated in an elegant and modern way this hotel offers you a breathtaking view of Lucerne. We were welcomed by an amazing staff who made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel special during our stay ! The room was perfect, really clean and really comfortable. I also highly recommend trying the restaurant there cause the food was incredibly good ! Congratulation for all the work they put in renovating this hotel, they clearly did an amazing job at it and I wish them a lot of success ! We will definitely come back !

Upon checking in on the 24 April, we confirmed our booking with Donika and she advised that breakfast was included. Our room allocated was 209. The first problem we encountered was a loud banging noise coming from the wall heater on the evening of the 25 April. To resolve this problem we were told to change rooms and we were moved to room 307, a smaller room. This was very inconvenient as we had to pack our bags and move ourselves. When we checked out on the morning of 26 April, we were charged for breakfast for two mornings for two people. When we questioned the receptionist we were told that Donika was new and she made a mistake in saying to us that breakfast was included. This is totally unsatisfactory and we expect a refund of the charges made for the two breakfasts, we are still waiting. At no point was there any mention of the cost of the breakfast, that they charged us CHF32 per person per breakfast. Completely unsatisfactory

Unfortunately, this was not a good experience. The room was ok, though so warm that we had to keep the windows open all night in spite of the very rainy and windy weather. We had to ask for the kettle, even though they list it as a standard amenity. There was a disturbing noise when we arrived, the staff solved that issue (without explaining what the noise was). There was a party right underneath our room with loud music. When we asked the staff said this would finish at 10 pm. At 10:45 pm we spoke with the manager and he told us it would be over in 15 minutes. At 11.45 PM it actually stopped. And we tried to calm down.. THen it turned out that one can hear the neighbours very well. Our neighbours appeared to enjoy each other very actively the entire night. At 6 am I we were still awake and we decided to leave as we couldn't stand it anymore. Obviously, we won't be coming back, even though the location is rather nice.

As a couple, we booked an overnight stay in the suite. The room was great with a fantastic view. The selection for dinner was rather poor for a 4-star hotel. The food was very good, however. The selection at the breakfast buffet was also poor. What was very disappointing for us, however, was that we booked the hotel because we wanted to use the wellness/SPA offer. The 3 very good reviews on the website practically invited us to do so... But the wellness/SPA area was not usable at all because it is still being built. We cannot understand how you can advertise like that and then do something like that.

Staying at this hotel was the best choice to have a peaceful vacation!
The bed was super comfortable, the room was very clean, the bathroom had everything I needed to have a tranquil retreat.
What I enjoyed the most about this hotel was definitely the views!!! Just beautiful to wake up and have insane views since the am, and even working with a view was so inspiring! The place is quiet and makes space for a perfect moment to rest and to work in a different scenario.
The wifi was great to work too, I had to send large files during my stay, so this was perfect. The breakfast was delicious and complete. The service overall was impecable and I'll definitely come back whenever I have the opportunity to fly back to Switzerland!

Great staff and a very nice hotel, The food in the restaurant was absolutely great and the staff here were top notch too. The only thing I have to criticize was the breakfast, the staff were totally overwhelmed, the scrambled eggs were empty and were not refilled until we asked. Coffee took forever. If you can get that under control, it'll be absolutely brilliant. I don't want to see that as a complaint but as an incentive to change something.

We booked a normal lake view room, 306. Nice room but bathroom too small. The curtain gets stuck in the door every time and if we open the balcony window, we can no longer open the bathroom door. We had dinner one evening at the restaurant. It was good but nothing more but above all too expensive. Very average breakfast, dry croissants, no fresh bread and no bread at all the next day!! They forgot !! The village is not far away, they could have gone to buy some. A breakfast without bread is very average. We conveyed our astonishment at the size of the bathroom. The receptionist told us that indeed some rooms are smaller but that we should have said this when we arrived because there were free rooms. In this case, why not fill the slightly larger rooms first before the others. Otherwise, the location is very good, nice view, nice terrace, free parking. Too bad for these few little hiccups which cause us to only give 3 stars instead of 4.
