Lovely stay with a great breakfast. The room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and had all we could need for our stay. Very helpful hosts who were happy to point us in the direction of some local attractions. Local shops and pub directly across the street.
Attentive hosts Graham and Karen welcome you to this superb guest house in the pretty Perthshire village of Alyth. A fine converted mansion, tastefully modernised - each of the public rooms an interior designer’s dream with spacious, comfortable bedrooms each with beautifully equipped bathroom. Secluded and tranquil garden with fish pond, flower beds and vegetable gardens - a real pleasure to walk around. Breakfast was exquisite, with a range of menu choices including home-made breads, preserves and granola. Worth going on Thursday / Friday / Saturday when they also offer a fine dining experience that was exceptional, with inventive menus including locally sourced ingredients. Highly recommended the whole experience at Tigh na Leigh
I think I've ruined myself for any other future hotel/BnB/guesthouse stays - Tigh Na Leigh is an absolutely stunning property both inside and out. I could've gladly spent a few days just relaxing in the living areas and outside in the spacious garden, and the hosts Graham and Karen are marvellously attentive and informative. Would strongly recommend staying in for dinner if possible, given the use of local produce and outstanding cooking. Attention to detail is everything at Tigh Na Leigh, just mildly disappointed that I actually had to leave in the end!
We stayed for a night en route to Aberdeen and played golf locally. A real gem of a guest house. The hosts were delightful and accommodating. We arrived too late for dinner but breakfast was delicious. We will be back.
I felt very welcome in this beautifully tasteful and pristine haven. It is a luxurious period property and Karen and Graham are totally committed to excellence. The food was fantastic thanks to Karen and Graham planned my trips to perfection - complete with maps! There is a gorgeous garden to wander around. I loved it, thank you both.
We visited Tigh Na Leigh for a night on the way back from a wedding as a stopover. It was just what we needed. We stayed in room 6, the room was massive and had an area for sitting to relax/watch television. You could log into Netflix on the TV too. The bathroom was big with a lovely big spa bath. Karen and Graeme were extremely helpful, Graeme printed a map for us to show us the scenic route home and he took us round some of the rooms to show us, the whole hotel is amazing! All of the rooms have their own personality. They have put so much work into it. The breakfast was delicious too, all local ingredients and Karen’s homemade jam and marmalade was delicious! There is an honesty bar with lots of selection and the gardens are breathtaking, you can relax with a drink next to the…
Beautiful and spacious b&b, with a large garden. I'd recommend dining in as the food is probably the best you will get in Alyth, matched by the delicious breakfast. Lastly, don't miss out on the great selection of whiskeys in the common room.
We wish we had booked more than 1 night. Rooms, lounges, breakfast and evening meal were outstanding. the property has a wonderful garden that wraps around the back of the property. Are hosts were so friendly and gave us a map of our next journey, told us places to visit and marked them on the map. We were heading to Inverness and Nairn, going off the main A9 let us drive through the most stunning scenery. Well worth the time and extra miles to really see Scotland. Definitely a place we will visit again
Clearly Karen and Graham take great pride in the work they have undertaken in restoring Tigh Na Leigh and gardens to a very high standard. Their exceptional hospitality, care and warm welcome matched their restoration work. Dinner and breakfast were faultless and served with both care and humour. It is impossible to find fault with any aspect of our stay including being encouraged to roam free in their beautiful gardens. They are also to be congratulated on their support of local charities.
We love Perthshire and have stayed in some lovely places, the standard is high, but Tigh na Leigh topped them all. Beautiful big house that is very tastefully decorated, comfortable and the attention to detail is impressive. Graeme & Karen are wonderful hosts, Graeme was fab, he printed out a map for us and detailed walks we could take and places to visit. Karen made the most beautiful breakfast, loved the homemade granola 😍 You can have dinner on a Thurs, Fri or Sat night. I would recommend booking, we had dinner one night and the food was fantastic. All local produce and fresh ingredients from the wonderful garden. All in all this place is great!! Safe to say we will return one day. Thank you Graeme & Karen. Xx
