From the moment we saw the property on booking we were wowed! On arrival the place looks pretty average on the outside and then the front door was opened by Graeme our host. The first impression was WOW!!! The magnificent hallway beautifully renovated and decorated to the highest of standards and with exquisite attention to detail. Graeme is rightly proud of this beautiful guesthouse. He and his wife have obviously travelled the world and picked up paintings and tapestries and Knick knacks on their journey and these are displayed throughout the wonderful interiors of the beautiful property. Each and every room is like walking in to a page from a glossy interior design magazine. Our room had a four poster and was spacious and tasteful in thistle colours of purple and green . With the cosiest and comfiest of mattresses to sleep on and a soft fluffy quilt. The en-suite was modern but quirky too with lovely toiletries and a spa Bath! Lovely views of the massive garden too. Breakfast next day was delicious with plenty of choice of either fully Scottish cooked breakfast or combo of home made granola muesli and sourdough bread with avocados tomatoes and feta! Home made preserves from Karen , Graemes wife to finish. After a stroll around the garden which is massive and houses a large fish pond with Koi, orchards herb garden flowers of every description and vegetable and seating we headed out to explore the beautiful area surrounding. Grarme and Katen are the most wonderful caring and interested hosts. Providing hints and tips on the local area to visit and walk to. We unfortunately didn’t take up the offer of an evening meal whichKaren prepares at the weekend as we were late arrivals. Also we weren’t sure if our movements in the Sat so couldn’t commit. However Grarme was very helpful in his suggestions to eat locally . Would we come back????? Just try and stop us. Absolutely first class snd top notch. An absolute steal for the prices they are charging for this wee gem. 5* thanks Grarme and Karen…
Had a short break here and we will definitely return Everything first class- stylish contemporary rooms from bedroom with separate sitting area, comfortable bed and bathroom with excellent shower and plentiful hot water. Dining in bright sun room overlooking a beautiful garden whilst eating delicious food at both breakfast and dinner. Drinks available with dinner and from well stocked honesty bar in 2 lounge areas where we chatted with fellow guests. Karen and Graham excellent hosts - friendly welcoming and gave personalised local information and suggestions for day trips. Absolutely no negatives.
Tigh Na Leigh is superb and worthy of 5 stars throughout, Karen and Graham are very welcoming and most attentive hosts. There is an excellent breakfast choice and dinner (served Thursday, Friday and Saturday) is what you would find in a good quality restaurant. Karen is an excellent cook which is shown in the preparation and presentation of all meals. Graham has excellent knowledge of the surrounding area, giving tips on walking routes and places to visit, giving you maps if needed. The lounge areas are great for relaxing in the evening, with an excellent choice of drinks available. We would definitely stay again, hopefully later in the year.
We stayed here over the Easter weekend and from the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by Graham & Karen. We had a suite with a separate lounge area which was fantastic for somewhere to relax and unwind from a busy day. Our room had a lovely newly refurbished bathroom with a powerful walk-in shower and plenty of hot water. The bed was super comfy along with the pillows and also had tea/coffee facilities. Breakfast had a very good choice and also a very good quality which can sometimes be hard to find but not here. We had the Scotch breakfast and it was plentiful very hot and cooked to perfection, Karen is a great cook. We had dinner out in the evenings. Graham is very knowledgeable about the area and also surrounding areas and pointed us to places for walking and shopping along with a bite to eat and coffee. After dinner, there is a snug where you can sit and relax meet other guests and chat with Graham & Karen whilst enjoying a drink. I highly recommend Tigh Na Leigh Guest House.…
We stayed for 2 nights, the room was stunning, the decor was so unique. Graham was kind enough to give us a tour and tell us about the history of the building. The breakfast was to die for, Karen was an amazing cook. We wished that we hadn’t booked somewhere else for dinner as the menu looked great. Will definitely have dinner next time we stay. Graham was also very knowledgeable about the local area, tips and a map on tours etc. All in a very enjoyable stay and I would recommend to anyone.
