The best stay in two weeks we spent in the highlands. First our luggage were brought to our room then we were told the best places to go for healthy food, for healthy walk, for amazing view, for butchery and delicatessen, our host gave us a lot of time. Third, the room was quite large, the bathroom quite convenient and very clean but the huge bed was equipped with the best mattress and pillows we met in Scotland. Consequently, we spent the best night of our tour. But, the icing on the cake was to come : THE breakfast. You guess it was the best of our tour. You may think we are friends or family of the owner, no, no, we just french epicurian visiting the highlands. What made the différence ? The frreshness, the quality of all those organic products. They were as far as possible away from industrial products. We had there the best haggis, the best sausages, the best porridge, the best eggs, the best homemade pastries, etc..We were able to enjoy a dram of Tamnavulin. To be honest, we didn’t expect so much. Then our luggage were brought back into our car. It was a perfect location to visit Aberdeen. We wish we could come back here another time.…
We stayed for a couple of nights for the first time. What a fabulous place this is. Beautifully finished rooms. Real attention to detail. The lounge area was so comfortable with a super wood burning stove. There is another lounge for TV. We started with a Gin and tonic before going through to a very nice dining room for dinner. Karen cooks to an extremely high standard. Wine choices were good too. After a good nights sleep in a comfy super king bed we had a delicious breakfast cooked to perfection With lots of choices. The garden is lovely. Graham was very helpful and knowledgable and gave us excellent advice about where to explore in the area. We will definitely be back. Thanks for everything. A&J
Stayed for a couple of nights. This is without doubt one of the best guest houses we have stayed in. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and furnished. Karen and Graham are wonderful hosts- extremely helpful. Covid regulations were adhered to and the whole place is spotlessly clean. The food is amazing from all the wonderful courses at dinner right down to the homemade preserves served at breakfast. Karen is a superb cook! Graham is a mine of knowledge about things to do in the area and was very helpful with directions for some of the wonderful local walks. Shame we couldn't have stayed longer. We will certainly be back.
We have a small house locally and to facilitate a visit from my 94 year old mother we asked Tigh Na Leigh if they would take care of her. Not only did they take care of her she was spoiled and pampered. I was invited to have breakfast with her each morning and Karen and Graham allowed us to have dinner one evening. Karen clearly understands food, there is an extensive breakfast menu with lots of home made goodies and the dinner was divine. The dining conservatory is a treat as it looks onto a heavenly garden. We were encouraged to roam and even help ourselves to grapes from the conservatory. Worth every penny.
This is a real find! The most beautifully decorated en suite bedrooms and relaxing lounges. Spotlessly clean and all CoVid measures present. The hosts Karen and Graham could not be more attentive and accommodating and yet whilst preempting our every need managed to be unobtrusive. Graham has extensive knowledge of the area and was able to make excellent suggestions as to where to walk and what to see. Special mention must go to the food which is Karen’s domain. Breakfasts were excellent and the evening meal was superb. I’m sorry we didn’t manage to eat with them on our second night. They made us and our furry friend all feel truly welcome. The bed was also a joy - comfy ++ and for me that’s difficult to achieve! I’d definitely go back!
