At my first trip here,i landed at hotel Candice. It’s in the centre of Tuguegarao City, close to Hotel Roma which is the biggest hotel in the city, and also close to all the fastfood chains like Jollibee, MacDonalds, etc. I didn’t stay in Hotel Roma, as it was quite expensive with 1,600 peso rates for a standard room with double bed.

Hotel Candice charges 700 peso for a standard double-bed room, which is the one I wanted, but unfortunately they didn’t have that room available so I had to stay in a deluxe twin bed instead at 1,000 peso. That was kind of annoying, I have no use for two beds after all, but guess it was since I didn’t book ahead. They told me they probably had the room I wanted available the next day, but that didn’t happen so I moved over to another hotel. The room I stayed in was quite nice though, and a pluss with the hotel is that they have internet in every room.thid id where most of the action is,if u move a few clicks away from here,u will be depending on street food....yuuuk

We just needed a cheap overnight stay in Tuguegarao before transferring to Kalinga the ff day. This hotel is right smack in the middle of the city or what they call "centro". It's 10mins away via tricycle if you're taking the Victory Liner bus. It's walking distance from banks, eateries, churches, beside a grocery and a McDonald's dessert kiosk! :)) We got this 700 per night matrimonial room, nothing fancy...we just needed a place to sleep and take a shower. WIFI was okay, receptionist was quite helpful tho she was having a hard time expressing herself in English or Tagalog whenever we ask something, and we really enjoyed their food from the cafe.
Downside is the 2 rooms we got, had termite damage is some parts of the room... oh well, i guess that's the freebie we got for a cheap room, hehe...

this i think the worst hotel ever! i dont think i can call it a hotel, it is more of "apartelle"! as we arrived in tuguegarrao the first thing we did is to go to the nearest hotel.. i googled all the hotels in tuguagarrao and it stated that hotel candice was one of the best yet cheap.. we tried it.. Expectations failed! front desk/ receptionist was not that presentable.. they look like OMG! the room is not that clean.. parang mga appartelle lng sa manila.. very untidy! remote control and heater were both broken! we asked the front desk if we could change a room they told us as soon as my mg check out it will be reserved for us.. checkout time was 12 noon.. 3 in the afernoon we asked the front desk if we could move to another room.. ang sabi nia "nag extend po sila!" grabe sa pagkacnungaling! we packed our bag agad agad and just found out that there are 2 rooms available! kepanget mo na nga cnungaling kpa! we paid a thousand bucks for room na u cant even call it a room! i will not recommend this hotel! u better stay sa holiday plaza hotel! 200 lng difference and its really a nice hotel!

There are not much choice of hotels in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan and we were happy with this hotel because it is cheap but we transferred after one night because we found a better place. If you want a budget hotel for as low as 600 pesos in the middle of the city then this could be your choice. For the price you will pay you can't ask for anything more other than a clean room. We chose their most expensive room and it looks like more of a standard room of a 2 star hotel. The staff are accommodating and it seemed that they are very eager to help you if just ask them to.

Very good location as it is located in the heart of the city.
A block away is the cathedral and shopping malls and restaurants are few steps away to any direction.
Hotel staff are courteous and hospitable.
The owners are also very hospitable whom you can chance upon as they are mostly in the hotel to help out.
Very clean and Cost-Effective.
The restaurant at second floor also serves good breakfast at a reasonable price.
I would highly recommend this hotel!

Everything is old including the air-conditioning unit, tv, foam, pillows and bed sheets it seems like they haven't changed anything since they opened

the water from the faucet is brown.
The staffs are not accommodating too. And they are asking ID in return to room keys

The beds, towels and TV are all old. The aircon doesn't seem to work well. Cost-wise, I'd say it is too expensive: too much for a so-so accommodation. If this hotel is to be managed properly, perhaps I would consider checking in again. Sadly, I've visited Tuguegarao City several times and checked in some other hotels and I'd say Candice ranks poorly among them.

We arrived at 1100H and eas allowed to check-in without extra charge.

Location is okay. Convenient to eateries. They have free shuttle from htl-airport (Mon-Sat), rest day during Sunday.

Hope you'll change the towels (they are very old kasi and there are stains na..) although, we always bring ours during our travel, we still use those you provide.
