I was supposed to have free breakfast on Friday, Kitchen was close. And my last day too, they need to upgrade their door keys for security reason. Anybody can get a duplicate the key.
Michelle's Restaurant, however, can offer a more continental type of meals and must not only rely on local fare. The food taste, presentation and menu needs a great deal of improvement. The wait staff are also very attentive and respectful albeit there is a need to train the wait staff to communicate better in English as guests from other foreign countries were seen in the hotel during my stay there.
The Front Desk staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is quite clean and have beautiful granite floors and a very attractive winding stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floor of the building which serves as the focal point of the lobby.
I was not aware that the hotel have bigger rooms which are called Senior and Junior Rooms. I was a bit confused about these names as I understood that the Senior Rooms were only meant for older people and the Junior Rooms was meant for kids. A better and more attractive names for these rooms will surely be more enticing to stay in. It is decently furnished with a jacuzzi and is more spacious than the other rooms.
Kudos to the staff and the hotel owners. A little bit more tweaking and this hotel will go a long way to be a favorite as a destination for tourist.
The inn house restaurant was adequent and served good meals & cold beer.
Tuguegarao is a small city, so if you come here with limited / realistic expectations, you wont be disappointed!
A room update would be good but not sure if the demand is enough to justify it!
I know its a devoloping city all I was looking for was a clean room and a shower thats it but even that was too much to ask for. The restaurant is the typical Fillipino ( rice with whatever ... and no taste). I stayed at the Mango Suites a couple of months ago and I was suprised it had everything I needed and was up to Western Standard. I cannot recommend this place to anybody.
My only peeve is I called ahead to find out if they had hair dryers and was assured of its availability. Well, with a hotel that size and just two hair dryers to go around - I was a bit upset. The hotel staff tried heir best to locate one but the darn hair dryer was all sound but no air.
Oh well... Should have known better!
