Booked a vertigo jump for my daughter’s birthday on line . Turned up on the date and time and was told we are not doing any jumps this month. The booking system has a clinch and should not have allowed the booking. We was not contacted ,only found out when we travelled to the site . Was offered surfing but you don’t need a wetsuit when your doing a outdoor jump so that would not have worked. A tearful daughter who was very excited and it was her birthday.

Took my daughter to the salt cave today. When I booked some weeks back, the lady I spoke with was very friendly and helpful, so gave me confidence that we were going to have a good experience. We were a bit daunted by the approach and wondered whether we in the right place. There was a very pleasant chap on reception who sent us to the waiting area overlooking the pool. It was running a bit behind time, so we were served a nice cup of tea whilst we waited. The salt cave area was fun with colour changing lights and we spend a very pleasant hour reading. We then went to the pool area for a swim and to use the sauna and steam room. It was very quiet which made it enjoyable, but as the pool is quite small, I should imagine it gets quite hectic and noisy when busier. To end the trip off we had afternoon tea. A lovely mix of sweet and savouries. I’d made the mistake of not requesting de-caff tea, but this was quickly resolved by the lady serving. I’m so glad I wasn’t put off by some of the other less favourable reviews and thought it was very good value.…

We booked a surfing party for my daughter and 17 of her friends for her 8th birthday. The party also included pre-ordered hot food and unlimited squash. When we arrived, we felt as though we weren’t expected or welcome. The party area was not ready for us. The surfing instructor was fantastic. She made the birthday girl feel special (unlike literally every other member of staff) and made the nervous surfers feel reassured. Other than that, the experience was dire. They were clearly short staffed (a sign of the times, I appreciate, but the staff that were available, were, for the most part sullen, sarcastic, uncaring and clearly very fed up). The food was late being served (to the point where parents were turning up to collect their kids while the food was being dished out. I realised after paying the final balance that the girls hadn’t been served their pudding. I wrote a long email to the manager, expressing my overall dissatisfaction. I eventually got a call from her, three days later which I couldn’t answer. I tried calling her back and leaving messages for nearly two further days before she finally got back to me. She offered me a paltry refund for the lack of dessert, which did not take in to account the poor service or late food. Eventually we agreed on a refund which took a further two days to come back to me. Overall, I paid a lot of money for a party which, other than the main activity, was a total damp squib, and the aftercare I received, following my complaint was atrocious. I feel like they just wanted my money, and then couldn’t care less about me or my repeat custom / recommendations to my friends and family. Final thoughts; Do the activities, keep the instructors in a job, but don’t expect anything from the rest of the staff. Go somewhere else for your food and drink!…

Booked 2 nights in quadruple room to attend Santapod monster truck show for Grandson's birthday. Due to 'Storm Dennis', we found out that Santapod had postponed show the day before, leaving us heading to Twinwoods wondering what on earth we were going to do! We needn't have worried and barely left the site. The swimming pool was fantastic - free due to hotel stay, never overcrowded and with inbuilt jacuzzi, wave machine, oversized tap and hydrotherapy loungers. Great fun! There was also a soft play centre on site (£7 children and £1 adults). Bedroom was adequate, good value, as was breakfast, although more tables would have been helpful in breakfast room. Daughter took advantage of skydiving facilities, which she loved and likewise, husband, who tried out the shooting range. Would be more than happy to return and certainly was not a wasted trip in the end. …

We all had an awesome time, will be back without a doubt. We stayed for two nights on site with breakfast, all good no issues. Between my wife daughter and grandson,( he didn't want to leave) We tried out the sky diving, shooting the swimming pool and the soft play area. As said we will be back, as there is still a lot more to do/try. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I’m reviewing the hotel part and pool as poor NOT the activities and the staff running the activities (which and who are outstanding) We had a team room (not the room I had booked originally) 3 of us staying, room was cold due to the windows been left open, we then established the fixing that controls all the windows was in actual fact broken, asked to swap rooms, 10 minutes later an oil filled radiator was wheeled in and a member of staff was outside the window pushing it shut manually, we then paid another visit to reception to be advised no rooms available, we wedged blankets and pillows up at the window to keep the heat in and protect our daughter who was already fighting a terrible cold, There was no hand soap at all, nor shower gel in the pump provided Room was dusty, the black painted surfaces were sticky as was the floor. Beds uncomfortable, 1 mattress broken. Breakfast - help yourself jobbie in freezing cold “breakfast room” stale cereals, fizzy apple juice (clearly out of date) Spa area, Looked appealing, like that children are allowed “we aim to keep the water at a very comfortable temperature so you can unwind and relax” I got in, then straight out, colder than the pool at my daughters swimlessons and I thought that was bad, even the jacuzzi was cold, bubbles on for 5 minutes then off, disappointing. However it was clean. We checked out after staying 1 night, my daughter was unwell and I couldn’t face another night in the room in the uncomfortable bed. …

We vistit here regularly as we love the indoor skydiving Tunnel an our kids enjoy surfing so it's worth the trip from brighton to Bedford BUT yesterday (Wednesday 4th September 2019)was NOT worth the trip or money..the place was deserted..no public no staff an the few staff around where the "family" who currently manage the place who may I add are running the place to the ground..they are rude, aggressive have no customer service skills ,treat you like you are trespassing in there home instead of a guest an a paying guest at that! We have been coming here for over a year an slowly seen the descent of this place , especially the hygiene..the floors are filthy, the tables look like they never seen a cloth..the spa is a matter we will take up with trading standards as it stinks of urine an when a lady complained nothing was done..the prices are not matching the standards I would of recommended this place a year ago but now I would say AVOID! THREE TIMES WE HAVE BOOKED TO DO VERTIGO AN THREE TIMES THEY CALL ME AN LEFT VOICEMAILS ON THE DAY OF TRAVEL WHILE IM ALREADY ON ROUTE ..DISGRACE! WE NORMALLY ENJOY A MEAL HERE BEFORE OUR TRAVELS HOME BUT YESTERDAY AVOIDED AS DIDNT WANT SICKNESS BEFORE KIDS GO BACK TO SCHOOL..VERY DISAPPOINTED.. DON'T THINK WILL RETURN NOT WORTH THE GRIEF AN UNWELCOME SERVICE IF YOU CAN CALL IT SERVICE ESPECIALLY FROM THE MOTHER OF THE FAMILY WHO WALKS AROUND LIKE SHE OWNS THE PLACE WHEN IN FACT SHES ONLY THERE TO HELP HER DAUGHTER LOOK AFTER HER KIDS WHILE THE DAUGHTER MANAGES IT(yet another problem as they are staying onsite no customers can use the family room as the managers family are there all customers are forced to purchase individual rooms costing more money ,win win for them but not for the customers) TWINWOODS SHOULD CONSIDER NEW MANAGEMENT OR RISK CLOSURE AS MYSELF AN OTHERS LOVE TO SKYDIVE AN SURF BUT ARE NOW FORCED TO GO ELSEWHERE FOR OUR ADVENTURES!…

My husband and I booked for 2 nights (last night and tonight) with our 1 and a half year old daughter. Upon arrival we were surprised to find its in the middle of an industrial estate. As you drive though the barriers you’re greeted by a sign telling you which Buildings are which. One being a pet cremation - lovely! We checked in and we’re actually surprised at how brilliant the activities looked although we didn’t use any. We arrived early evening and it was time for bed for our baby. We checked in to the room and had a look around. It’s like a truckers pit stop. Small box room. TV only had 1 working channel and it would cut out every so often saying there’s no signal. Bed was like sleeping on a concrete block and none of us actually got any sleep. Room was hot and stuffy but windows opened wide. No fan provided. Not secure to have the windows wide open at all being on the ground floor in the middle of nowhere. The cheap plastic toilet brush was rotten and I wouldn’t use it to clean my toilet at home. It’s fit for the pet cremation only. This morning I took my baby out to have some breakfast only to be greeted by stale pre-packed croissants (which my baby can’t have as she has a dairy allergy) and burnt toast. A few choices of cereal and that was it. Oh also no food served in the evenings. We ordered take away and collected it from the car park. Our only option once the baby had gone to sleep. So brings us to after breakfast (which we didn’t eat, luckily I packed food for my daughter) my husband has a shower. He turns the tap on and before he even gets in the shower the whole bathroom is soaked. There’s half a poxy glass door which doesn’t move (neither does the shower head, it’s attached to the ceiling) no bath mat and no grips or non slip on the floor. We both comment how dangerous it is and just say to be careful So I pass my husband our daughter holding on to her hand until he grabs the other so he can wash her in the shower. She slips and smacks the back of her head leaving a red golf ball like lump on the back of her head. After trying to calm her for 10 minutes turns out shes ok. So go to hand her back to my husband for a shower which the same thing happens AGAIN. This time I’m NOT happy at the lack of safety so march down to the reception and request a non slip bath mat only to be told they don’t supply them and they’ve not heard of anyone else having an issue with this. I express my anger and am told someone will go out and buy a basic one for my room. By which now we’ve had enough and just want to cut our trip short and go home. In short, if you’re thinking of booking this hotel you’d be better of setting fire to your money or booking elsewhere!! I’ve requested a refund for tonight (as we won’t be staying there, obviously) and have contacted health and safety after taking photos of the room. I must add though that the ladies on reception are lovely and kind.…

I booked my parents into the centre for the Salt cave 🧂 relaxation. They had a good experience there while I was looking around the centre. It didn’t take long to explore because it was quaint. The Center was smaller than I’d expected. It was located in the semi abandoned business park, previously an RAF or military base perhaps. As you drive in, it could be mistaken to be an abandoned warehouses buildings surrounding the centre. You could mistaken thing you are lost. There were everything available as listed, shooting, archery, 🏹surfing 🏄♀️ 🧗🏽♂️etc. but it was surprisingly deserted. The was nothing spectacular about the building even we when found the centre. 🏢We were uncertain about entering. It was not the impression I expected from the well advertised website. I was unimpressed by the adventure centre, some public facilities were dated and unmaintain. I was underwhelmed. But, see for yourselves. We looked around inside and outside while waiting and it’s safe to assume that we probably won’t be coming back. It isn’t for us. …
