The hotel is very neat, beautiful and has adapted its services to the current health crisis accordingly. The view over the lake is incredible, and little ducks swim close to us making the experience unique. Hotel owners and hosts are very nice and welcoming, they even gave us a brochure with suggested activities around the area. The room was cozy, comfortable and very nice. I had one with a view over the parking lot, but it wasn't a problem for us (I could check on my car). It had a large balcony with a table for two, which we appreciated a lot namely on the sunrise/sunset hours. I can only recommend and I would definitely go back there when I can.

Absolutely no complaints. Staff was excellent. GM is on site and hands on (poured our wine during dinner and saw him on the grounds early the next morning straightening up for an event). The hotel's nicer restaurant is pricey but good. Breakfast was included with our room and was great. Short walk to a bus stop that gets you to the Lucerne train station in about 15 minutes. Will definitely stay here again.

My parents and I stayed at the Hotel Sternen from Friday to Saturday. I received a friendly welcome. My room was on the first floor with a view of the lake. It had everything you needed, especially the fan, which was very busy due to the heatwave. Immediately after checking into our room we went into the lake. We had dinner on the terrace. I had Cordon Bleu, my father had Hasli fillet and my mother had a starter of Trilogy Sternen. We thought it tasted wonderful and the service was very friendly. The next morning a sumptuous breakfast buffet awaited us. From midday we had a family celebration with a sumptuous starter buffet followed by veal kidney with gratin. After a refreshing dip in the lake a dessert buffet was set up. It tasted very good and the service was friendly and quick here too.

The hotel is located right on Lake Lucerne. The views from our balcony were amazing overlooking the lake with a view of the mountains in the background. Breakfast is included and was good. The staff are friendly and very sweet. The hotel is only 10-15m drive to downtown Lucerne.
Bed is a bit soft and the pillows thin. So, for people with back problems at least ask for additional pillows. Shower was great.

very friendly service, attentive. very nice ambience and beautifully laid out. unfortunately the food was bad!...Zurich schnitzel was just passable...no cooking skills but still edible...the rösti (arrived after 15 minutes👀inedible and certainly not crispy......usually takes 30' fresh......)...everything warmed up but not professionally...sorry the fish noodles (already fried the day before)...you can't serve them like that in a leftover... so a wonderful day, a lovely place...but unfortunately no praise for the kitchen... have better memories do it better

The view on the lake is stunning, the rooms are well equipped. We did not need air-con as temperatures were ok, but on warm days I can imagine it would get very hot in the room The service was friendly, welcoming in the hotel and the restaurant. We had a very nice meal, a bit on the pricey side but excellent quality! All in all a very pleasant stay.

Very easy. Bus station is next to the train station. Take bus nr. 20, it departs all 15 mins or so. Hop off at Horw after the village center at halt called Rank. From there it is maybe a 10 mins walk. Follow the street further and turn then left at the sign indicating Winkel. Follow the street along the lake. It is easy to find, you cant miss it.
There are more places to choose from in the Horw area.
