We are the Big Femyli, on this particular occasion, me, my wife, my two children, my 2 year old granddaughter and 2 friends, for a total of 9 people we are staying for 2 nights in this hotel. Nice place, we have the opportunity to eat there so we take the opportunity. But the buts begin. Yes but you have to tell us immediately what you eat, well give us the menu the menu and logically written in Philippines site in very small tradition in English. Ok fine after the various games without borders to get to the island we don't want to argue. Each person chooses and agrees to eat at 8.30pm. We eat, after 10 days we manage to find sparkling water in a can, very good, only 2 cans, they bring it to the table and we have to say that it went well and we want to try again the following evening, after having been around all day, when we return they ask us for the menu for the evening and we are ready to go, we tell him everything and go to take a shower. at the best moment comes the first message from the group there are no more fries there is no bacon for the eggs there were still a couple of things missing. I wonder but if you're in the center of the country why don't you send some random pincopallo to buy them but what kind of impression do you make. Everything was supposed to revolve around chips and instead...., in my room, room 1, the air conditioner works until midnight, after which you die from the heat. What is much appreciated is the night trip on the river to see a tree full of fireflies, they almost looked like Christmas light bulbs. Stupendous

First of all:
Loboc was hit especially hard by the typhoon dec 16 2021 and the main reasons I'm not giving 5 stars is due to the few damages that are still around the hotel. The river side of the resort is still damaged and one of the bathrooms had water damage. They worked really hard on reconstruction and this might be fixed in half a year or so.

That being said, we really liked the place. The people and owner are nice and very helpful and they had a lot of nice options for exploring the area including mountain biking, SUPing, motorbiking and firefly watching.
The firefly watching was stunning and SUPing up the river to the waterfall was amazing.
They were also really helpful with motorbikes.

The pool was nice but I'd recommend jumping in the river from the former water slide.

Despite we spent only 1 night there, we enjoyed it a lot thanks to good meals, drinks and nice swimming pool. In addition, there was an outside place at the river side where the breakfast or refreshments were served and the bath was taken. Pleasant relax after all.

Very bad experience! Unfriendly staff who forgot our booking reservation and gave us dirty little room without discount. No cleaning between the 2 nights. Very bad breakfast. Unable to cancel the second breakfast or eat it early (we had a excursion at 5:30am). After negotiation we finally got an open bag of moldy sliced bread. Very unpleasant staff, who attack their customers to pay (only thinking about money). To avoid !

Very nice establishment, I loved the location on the river!
Possibility of swimming in the river and also the beautiful swimming pool. Very clean hotel, the professional team meets all our needs, information, taxi, tuktuk, ice cubes, restaurant on site. We were 5 friends, for 3 nights, we really liked it. Not far from the sites to visit. We received massages in the evening, very good, we went to see the fireflies at night on the river from the hotel pier, the best!

Probably one of the worst stays we have had in the Philippines. Costs were added at random to our room -

1) We were told breakfast was included, after eating the average food offered, we were then told that we had to pay??

2) Rented a bike for 1 day (bike was dropped off at 1700 - we returned next day at 1400) - at time of paying we were told this qualified as 2 days as 1 day = 8 hours. Different to what we were told at time of booking.

Room was poor for the price, really small bed, tiny windows in room. Lots of mosquitos. WiFi didn't really work.

As many have said before, the owner (Boyd) seems like a nice person. As soon as it came to paying his true colours came out and was very aggressive towards my girlfriend. Disappointed.

We prebooked a package including accomodation and a tour. No money was paid. On arriving we found: our family room was not available so we were split into two rooms. There was no hot water. There was no jacuzzi. The pool was dirty; slimy with lots of hairs in it. No tiki bar. Very poor wifi. Awful breakfast. Lots of excuses. After one night we advised the owner that we would like to checkout as the hotel was not what we expected. The owner then shouted at my husband (I could hear from my room upstairs!) and told us to leave! We were kicked out! It was late on Christmas Day and we assume he thought we would not find alternative accomodation. I was able to find a room elsewhere so we packed and left. In all our time in the Philippines, we had never encountered an angry person, let alone be abused, then kicked out on Christmas Day, in the pouring rain! Very very rude owner, although the staff seemed nice. Terrible experience, not at all like they advertise on their website!

I've stayed in a lot of hotels, but Stefanie Grace will be one I will always remember. The hotel is designed to be like a huge house and this gives the feeling of being at home and comforting. The bottom floor is a large living/dining area where you can watch films on the sofa, relax with a drink you grabbed from the fridge (but keeping a tally on the piece of paper) or having a swim in the pool outside. Some people who were there even did some karaoke.

The owner makes this hotel as he's unbelievably kind and attentive. He went out of his way to buy Cheese in Tagbilaran (an hour away) just because he heard my girlfriend say she liked it! He has no strict rules on check out and lets you make yourself feel at home. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and have tv with decent en-suite shower. I can't recommend this place enough as the best place in Bohol to stay in.

Sorry I cannot answer that kind of detail any more. Generally, do not accept the 1st offer and try show up some hesitance. The driver will then lower his price which was a standard way in the region. You can also speak to other drivers nearby. Regards!
